As a girl from a poor background, who gained scholarships to schools for rich kids all her life, I have to say I understand Dimnobi very well. It's hard being bullied so you lie to fit in. Although my lie no reach like this sha, just little lies here and there and I never bullied anyone sha and my mum sha worked in healthcare so she never worked in my school. But i understand what she went through.
Towards the end of secondary school though, my good friends let me know they saw through my lies and I was able to open up and be true to myself. They also started helping me out financially even till now that I'm in University, they reach out and help me. I love my secondary school friends so much.

What an absolutely beautiful and educational movie, I had to send it to my sister in Jamaica for a movie day with her kids at the school where she teaches and I am sure that it won't stop there. I think bullying is a disease just like CANCER that eats away at students some commit suicide, some drop out while others continue the bullying into adulthood. When I saw that girl lie against her own mother I almost lost it. Bullying has become the norm so parents need to spend time encouraging and praying with their children for God's protection. I saw this movie for the first time in 2013 or so, I can't really remember again.. I cried so much that day, today i felt the need to revisit it again and I felt the same rush of emotion i felt many years ago.. Women must learn a lesson, Shewa stayed in that abusive marrige because of her child Omotilewa, but sadly her child died before her in that home as a result of domestic violence. We should learn to leave an abusive relationship as soon as possible for the sake of our children most especially.. Learnt a whole lot watching this movie again.. Thank you Mummy Dayo Amusa
