Love this video! I find it hard to watch matches cause I don’t know every card or value by heart since I’m new but using the graphics and effects to keep up with the plays makes this really fun for me and I’m sure other newbs would agree :) Keep it up!!
Technically it is a misplay that the Okiku got activated again with the starter deck Law's ability yea, but all in all the outcome wouldn't have changed, since you could have attacked with the blocker Law for 6000 and activate him instead of Okiku with the starter Law. Okiku was also at 6000 power at this point.
I just don't see what everyone else is seeing in the Kid deck tbh. Not specifically this decklist either, just in general I don't see Kid out-resourcing Kaido or Law with how Kaido can ramp and get multiple forms of value in his DON and with how Law can get effectively 8 DON worth of cards on the board for 2 DON (bouncing a 1 drop to get a 5 drop law into a Zoro) Where Kid has to manually pay the full cost for all of his beaters 1 turn in advance and telegraph his gameplan.
OP01 is pretty balanced, Kaido and Kid can both win depending on luck and skill. Red Green Law fell off really fast in Asia, 4 life is a big disadvantage and he's easy to keep from using his ability. Kid isn't the BEST for sure, but a serious threat everyone should expect to encounter.
@@AlexanderArts I fully expect to see Kid, I just don't see how he really out-grinds other decks whose cost-curves are lower and who can get their big pieces out for less or with more ease. The whole having to pre-telegraph your plan by casting and waiting a turn rotation just doesn't feel as good as it does in a deck like Kaido.
@@TheFrostHydra One element you aren't accounting for is that Kid deck can rest multiple blockers in a turn and reactivate various cards. There are still a lot of surprises up the sleeve of the Green deck. I've had plenty of matches in the late game where I can rest two blockers in a turn and take the opponents Life from 1 or 2 to KO in one turn.
@@AlexanderArts I'm definitely accounting for that. The issue is just that you still have to telegraph your intentions with hard casting the beaters you're using to kill those blockers/useful tech characters
@@TheFrostHydra that's true, but there are also a lot of On Play effects that you don't need to telegraph. Also, I don't think telegraphing moves in OPtcg is always a big deal.
Don cards only count during your turn in MOST situations. The other situations will be with Don x effects which say "opponents turn" or don't specify "your turn".
Haha, it was a risky move which didn't pay off. I thought there was a good chance he couldn't counter it, and thought I could get rid of a big hitter, I was wrong. I hope others learn from my mistake, lol!~

Bonney can be the MVP sometimes, for sure!~
Bonney is basically a searcher and a blocker. The opponent has to kill her quickly, preventing an attack on your leader.

At 4:12 you attacked with kid at 5000 but his Kaido had a DON card, wouldn't he be at 6000?
