This is still the best arrangement of Afro Lupin '68 I know of. The Yoshihide mix is rougher, but none's tougher and more rad than this baby here. Charlie Kosei wins every time.

Yuji Ohno and his version of Lupin the Third is at my opinion much better. So the kind-hearted, heroic and brave but comedic version of Lupin the Third like in Part 2, 4 or 5 is much better than the original.
@@johannschwarz5293Not “much better,” just different. Takeo Yamashita’s score gives the show more of a spaghetti western vibe compared to Yuji Ohno’s Brazilian-inspired jazz and bossa nova. Part 1 Lupin can be just as cold-hearted as he can be kind-hearted, occasionally heroic, usually brave, and always finding time to be comedic where appropriate. You don’t know if he’s going to be your friend or if he’s going to kill you, which adds to the mystique and unpredictably that makes the character so fascinating, much like Sean Connery’s James Bond, so comparing Part 1 Lupin to later interpretations is comparing apples and oranges, or Connery and Moore. Besides, that’s totally not what the OP asked.
@@imfsresidentotaku9699 Until I learned that all the original masters of the 1971 soundtrack were lost a long time ago, I'd thought this was the version heard in the show. It sure SOUNDS like it. I can't hear any differences. I've heard a couple of other arrangements of this that do sound distinct from what's heard on screen, but this sounds exactly like it to me.
afro lupin 68 got chosen to be main theme of Lupin Zero
P38...Machine cries...
Best version. With a smooth GTA 3 like vibe. 🍃🌿🔥💨🔊🎶
its been 2 weeks since i listen to this and its still fire
it’s been 3 years since i listened to this and it’s still fire
i wasnt always a fan..in fact i didn't like him at first. but now that i've given lupin a second chance i LOVE him! ^_^

The 1980 rendition from Yamashita is also exceptional.

I respect and love Ohno but Kosei did this 1 perfect, the best rendition
my favorite
The one and only dislike by Zenigata
Zenigata made 5 alternate accounts since then.
@@ven-1972 but he will never catch him
Now Zenigata have 10 alternative accounts
Zenigata is still the man who will be some kind of a Batman for Lupin the Third.
It seems like Zenigata made 23 alternate accounts since then.
LUPIN ZERO!!!
