The only reason that I watch dirt racing is because of you. I have been watching your channel since before you began racing again. I am hooked. This was one of your best races I have watched(my inexperienced opinion). Your restarts were some of the best I have seen you do. you were really good on long runs. Your consistent entry and exit of the turns I think is what won you the race. Way to go into a new track and take all their money. I think it's some poor sportsmanship with the whole "claim" deal. Congratulations on a great race!

I hope that you are keeping GRT up to date with what you have done, although probably have just done the usual stuff. When it really started going fast at the street stock Nat's the motor really sounded like it should so I have thought you found a problem with it. Dunno, but you got a winner now, minus shocks for a while? I was aware that some did that but first I've heard someone do it. I sure hope you are stirring up some interest in GRT street stocks! My old boss went to a big race at Manzanita in Phoenix back in the 90’s he claimed the winners motor. When we got the motor back to the shop and tore into it we found a bone stock 327 with good heads and under the intake they inscribed “you stupid assholes horsepower doesn’t win races”

Yep I used to race at Ephrata where a sprint car had it's motor claimed after winning. They were laughing the whole time they pulled it, said they heard the claim was coming and stuck his sisters bomber car motor in it. The win with that motor was a surprise the claim was expected.

I know that Donald Cates got tired of the Holts in the Tulsa area, buying his engines. So one night he turned the tables on them and bought one of their engines. Then when they got to the hwy 412 bridge over the Verdigris river they stopped and threw the engine into the river. After that I believe the Holts stopped buying his engines.
