When I watched this performance I was 16 and it was not clear the message she brought in these songs (not because of her, but because of my lack of information and knowledge about the BLM cause) and even so I was enchanted and I knew that she was fighting for something there, I just didn't know exactly what it was. Today, at the age of 21, after learning and recognizing my white privilege and watching this performance, I feel chills and pride in how much she has been changing the lives of millions of people for the better.
