    dapat ipalabas ng PBA sa TV ang mga classic games na yan during off season, like those NBA's greatest games na pinapalabas sa BTV..and im very sure mas madami ang manonood ng mga classic games na yan kesa sa mga games ngayon na halos wala na nanonood

    I give Billy Ray Bates respect here. He goes to a foreign country in Asia and does well. Not many players from America are willing. That shows his love for the game. Donald Perkins talks about heart. This man walked it.

    The original intent of Imports when the PBA first started was to make the games more exciting and, more importantly, to make the level of play of Filipinos higher. Which is why you get the likes of Bernie Fabiosa, Lim Eng Beng and Francis Arnaiz going up against 6'10 and & 7'0 behemoths and SCORING!!! There was no mismatch at all. Billy Ray Bates was a freak of nature. He dominated the NBA once... before drugs got the better of him.

    BERNIE FABIOSA, the only pointguard I saw that can go head to head with Big Jaworski... He even outclassed Jaworski multiple times during their Crispa-Toyota rivalry.

    Sana nga meron ding greatest game ang PBA sa BTV. Pati sa mga intl competition na involve ang PBA. Puro nalang NBA greatest game.

    Not in Billy Ray Bates case. In 1979-80 with the Portland Trailblazers he averaged 11.3 ppg in the regular season and 25.0 ppg in the playoffs. In 1980-81, 13.8 ppg reg & 28.3 ppg playoffs. In 1981-82, 11.1 ppg in regular season. After that he struggled with weight issues and alcohol thus ending his NBA career with Wash and LA Lakers the following season.

    AH..The Good Old Days were people are lot nicer and friendlier, one thing i'm nostalgic about was the Crispa Toyota rivalry back in the 70's to early eightys. For me Billy Ray Bates or The Black Superman is still the greatest import ever to play in the Philippines.

    i guess they should really put back the same status quo of commentators so those watching the game on tv could also be hound to improve the language skills.

    what style ? western style ? do the Chinese have their own style ? it's basketball! you dribble and you shoot! Philippine players should be able to compete against others. Whether it's against imports or in international competition. Imports are essential. European and Latin American leagues have them too. Height does matter but that's beside the point. It's competition that does.

  • @TRIXAAAA-c5n
    @TRIXAAAA-c5n Před 17 lety

    ...and i think that is the reason why PBA doesnt have their own style of playing the game, they keep on playing the western style which i think is imposible to happen because of the size differences. as far as i watch the game, i better enjoy it minus the imports because only few filipino players can match on them.

    PBA imports play good because they play against smallaer filipinoes!!! it's like mismatch!!! put them in the NBA, they won't be able to score a point!!! PBA is for filipinoes and it should stay that way... PBA is better without foreign players...
