A doctor is not forced to choose who is supposed to die . . The situation that we are put in does it though u don't want to. Directly or indirectly each one of you is responsible for this. Rich countries and people hoard O2 vaccines ventilators. Though you get lot of donations there is lot of corruption in alloting beds,O2,remedesvir etc. Sad part a doctor who works in a hospital is not given a priority for admission in case he gets sick.!

This has been on repast for 3 weeks now. Where the government? There should be already 500-600 makeshift beds available in a large tent area for covid patients. This government should do this. Also, we need international doctors to aid. 27 hour shifts for 1 doctor is just unbelievable.

My mother died of same situation in Belgaum Karnataka.
We admitted her to a biggest hospital..
She was having 95 saturation with high flow oxygen.
But doctors said she need to be shifted to ICU as her oxygen saturation dipping.
Unfortunately I didn't see any saturation dipping reading in their hourly records .
She was stable and having food and spoke with all before the day of her ICU shift.
But when they shifted her ICU, they kept her on NIV ventilator and she died next day..
Medical students were treating her. Senior Doctor use to visit patients only once a day in Morning.
There were only two care takers for 24 bed ICU..
My mom cried two days before her death saying nobody feed her food or water..
That was like hell for her !!!
