I just watched a video of The Helmets from earlier, on Sacramento morning show. I could tell from watching band members come in and bail/fail, that only the singer and little Trujillo were gonna stick it out. Looks like I called it.
These kids are phenomenal. Now they just need a good lead singer and maybe a second guitarist and they should take a creative writing class that's going to help them write songs.
But that’s not theirs. That’s a slayer replacement. Shouldn’t they be doing their own thing. What does Otto play. Is more what I’m interested in. I’ve heard slayer guys. What does OTTO sound like.
Someone should tell the drummer there’s no ride in the song and his kicks are extremely sloppy and off time. The gear ,especially the guitar sounds like pure mud! Keep the bass and treble up ,but turn the mids down and fir the love of rock ,all three go back to the singers Dads crib and practice! Too early for your first show! Let the apple fall a bit further from the tree,then just get a new band! A four piece bucket extra crispy! This type of music needs a 4 piece/duel guitars! Surprised you didn’t know this? Do all this and you’ll be money!
