#Andertons #arturia #vcollection9 - Hudba
I live in a city with a great synth shop where you can test all the popular hardware synths and I find the synths sound like plugins and my plugins sound like hardware synths. I just can't tell the difference. The Arturia Collection plus some Spitfire libraries and Omnisphere are all I will ever need or want. GAS is over.
Isn't UVI vintage vault quite good too?
am In a similar boat. what kind of midi controller do you like to use with all of those?
I've owned the Arturia V Collection for many years, it's great IMO.
Arturia has really nailed the budget synth plugin market (and budget keyboard controller market too.) I have the KeyLab 49 Essential and it comes with a crazy amount of usable keyboard sounds for under $300. I'd love the get the Arturia Collection 9 but currently am saving up for a Yamaha MX88.
Probably the best investment ive ever made. Loads of synths and samplers. Most of which I thought I would never own.The Synclavier and the Fairlight being two of my favourites .
Purchased my Arturia keylab 61 from andertons after your previous demo - I’m a guitarist but my goodness what a great job Arturia do with making huge tones easily accessible to all 🤘🏼
I get GAS every couple of months or so. But I’m starting to realize that there are no new sounds to be had, just different ways of producing them, different knob and slider configurations, new colors and and configurations of those knobs and sliders and different color schemes and chassis.
I recently bought a DX7. Not because I needed an FM synth, not because there are no viable FM synth apps and plug-ins-because there are-one word DEXED. But I bought a DX7 because…well…simply because I’ve always wanted one. I simply wanted to be able to look over in a corner of my studio and see-in the flesh-an iconic piece of music history. The End
Arturia really did a good job with this . But....we can't help wanting "the real deal":-).Toys for big boys.Soundwise....yes,you can do anything with the V collection.
As someone new to synths, but a guitarist for 30 years, I love these plugins. I could never own 30 of the best Fender and Gibson guitars, but I can at least have quality models of the best keyboards.
Great review, really enjoy the way you and the boys get stuff out to us. I’ve have the keylab 49 and getting labs 4 with it, then upgraded to Labs V for free. Can do so much for such a small amount of dosh. I am so up for the V collection so get one ready for me Andertons 😜
"Sands of Arrakis" is a reference to Dune (and the recent movie also had a great soundtrack!)
I upgraded from Analog lab V to collection 9
Yesterday, but didn’t know you could change banks to vintage presets, thanks for sharing that info 👍🏼
Great job man. This is a nice collection
Wonderful video guys!
F...ing cool video of that awesome collection. I love the way you guys present gear with your unique british sense of humor mixed with a little bit of craziness! You know what would be great? A nice long review about the Arturia V Collection 9 which covers all the new but also the "old" instruments which had already been included in previous versions of the V collection. I have not found a single decent or even good video which covers all 32 instruments now included in the V Collection!
I've been enjoying the V collection series its very versatile.
Nice video! Quick tip: you can use the keyboard buttons to navigate through the presets of the same synth
They all sounded great, but I used to have an ESQ-1 and that SQ-80 patch brought back wonderful memories!
My first synth was a second hand ESQ-1 (with a Roland MT-32). I would start the day wondering how I could do this and that when I noticed my belly had a serious cramp: it was 6 o'clock pm and I hadn't eaten a crumb. Then a VFX and an EPS. So many hours of fun.
Love the v collection 🙌🏼 that keylab is pretty tasty too
Dig the Falcon and Jack 💜 I have a shed load of Arturia stuff, it's awesome.
Not long won this pack from BoBeats (shout out!) and yes, it is a lovely set of instruments.
Finally we get to see he who gives such wise keys
As a studio tool for a commercial production house, yes great device. For someone who loves the look and feel of playing different, well-built and unique-sounding instruments, plug-in/plug-out VST keyboards like this hold little interest or value.
Great review athough! I always enjoy your enthusiasm for the products you demo.
I know what you mean. I went from all hardware to all software when the first decent soft synths came out. Sounded great but zero motivation.
Now I’m all hardware again and loving it.
@@leftmono1016 Yeah, even just the way different knobs or sliders feel and respond informs how I interact with and play a synth.
If they built all of this into a really good keyboard controller that was pre mapped with a decent sized screen and sold it for a decent price I'd buy it in a heartbeat. The idea of being laptop free has a certain appeal.
Cool.....want them all now :)
Have had the v collection for a while still buy the occasional hardware toy music should be fun and tinkering as well.
I have had this for quite some time (release 7 currently) and usually skip every other upgrade plus wait a while after release for a significant upgrade discount.
I bought a few plugins (Jupiter 8v) at that time, you couldn’t maximize the window so I had to use a Magnifying glass to play with the knobs. Nice, but I’ll stick with the physical synths for now.
I own it......They made a good job...but there's nothing like the REAL thing.....and I mean not just with the sounds that are fabulous but with the weak factor that you always needs to start the PC in order to use it and also the controller is a piece of plastic that looks like a toy....but I say that again they made a good job and their last video with Steve Porcaro of Toto is a gem even if is so evident and clear the enormous difference with the real CS-80.
My fm7 plugin stopped working ages ago. The dx7 still works like a charm.
And the m12v misses a dimension to the matrix
But still i have the collection as well- for the quick n dirty jobs
I hope the V collection 9 includes all of the preset of collection 8 since its an upgrade, but Im so disappointed on missing some of my favourite presets on cs-80 v3 which is not included in CS-80 v4 of V collection 9. Overall its really good upgrade, Just disappointed on not getting all the presets from collection 8.
Minibrute S2 noir gets the V8 collection for free when purchased, I am tempted, but the synth doesn't really do it for me.
which midi controller do you recommend?
Can someone tell me how jack plays the motif at 6:47 ? Absolutely love that sound but I'm a guitar player trying to replicate the fingering in reverse!! Is it an augmented A minor ?
I upgraded to V-Collection 9 from V-Collection 8. I do not have "Vintage Factory" as an available bank. I have "Factory" with the Arturia symbol, but not "Vintage Factory". How does one get this?
seems the ms 20 took the arps position they sound real close to my ears in non distortion mode
Love your vids. Cheers from ATL 🍻
Doesnt seem to work with maschine mk3
I think it just shows presets under "instruments"
Wait a minute... I'm not seeing the VEB Tiracon 6V in this collection 😁
you don't need softsynths, you're the King of hardware.
Im surprised an instrument store would title this video what you did
They sell the software and Arturia midi controllers...
@@vaiman7777 that is not what they exclusively sell now is it
OMG its the professor from La Casa de Papel
Sad Cello in a Major key!!!! Should be in minor, shouldn't it? 😂
I don't hear a lot here that convinces me to upgrade.
Arturia's V collection is a fantastic assortment of synth plugins, but NO, you can't have them all. Your title is wrong, "Why Buy Another Synth When You Can Have Them All?" - Maybe you'd like Spectrasonics Omnisphere, or perhaps, Native Instruments Massive X, or maybe IK Multimedia Syntronik, or what about Heavyocity Gravity? - Your title is WRONG.
I must be crazy or something, but it all sounds plastic and thin compare to any real synths.
I think you're imagining things.
@@DJSockmonkeyMusic Unfortunelly no.
Vst Sounds not the sale as réal analog you liar
