Even though Voodoonola doesn't acknowledge the tapers.... I just want to mention that I shot this video 26 years ago today!
an amazing, beautiful story sir. I love ween, i love dead, and i most assuredly love you too. Thank you for bringing joy to a man too young to have otherwise seen this show! the world owes you! can i buy u a beer or 10 in chicago??
Thank you, wish I could make it, have one for me, thanks again, cheers :)
Thank you sir, I will assume you shot Sunday as well? Sunday was my first show and I've been pleased as punch to watch it over and over again for all these years since.
Thank you brother! A beautiful gift indeed.
LOL
We saw this concert stone cold sober right after our Mormon missions. Best concert ever!
We saw this show tripping brains and it was our mission to heaven.
Totally opposite experience
@@CountryStoreArcata Funny how that works. The plurality of universes as seen through a droplet of Dr. Hoffman's magic elixir.
I was sober.@@CountryStoreArcata
Are you from Utah? This was my first Dead show and we came from Salt Lake to see it.
I was at this concert. My buddies and I watched the storm come on the top row. Never forget all of us who got shocked. After the rain stopped and the rainbow appeared the smell of wet hippies hit me like a hammer. I was so high I could see the odor.
My experience too. One of the most dramatic events I've ever witnessed. Poetry writ large. I'll never forget it!
I was exactly there with you. Back row top and amazed!
That is the smell of "home" for me.
I broke a rose stem and my fingers smelled like patchouli afterwards.
Yeah I remember all you guys up there as lightning strikes were happening in the lots, and the announcers pleading with you to drop your arms down . All wet. standing on metal benches!!!
we had no idea we'd be able to see and hear this performance 23 years later….trippy to be able to so intimately revisit this time...
How did you tape it and why didn’t you pan around more?
Saaaame 🌄
Wrong.
We had tapes and VHS copies of shows.
I think its through GOD - just enjoy
If u believe in GOD, then just say thank u to GOD - I love GOD & Jerry & what he was - I know he passed; but he lives on by playing his songs.
I was THERE! Man what a show. So glad I wasn't with the Mormons in the previous note - I was dosed and loved the entire show. Beautiful. Just Gorgeous!
O.K., now I remember during drums, back of the floor a couple rows up the weather suddenly changed from hot as hell to cloudy and dark in an instant out of the blue.A dude holding the largest crystal I ever saw, the size of a large pinapple, held the crystal up above his head and shouted " "Take us with you!!" Many heads grabbed his sholders, as they also wanted to be beamed up!I laughed so hard I almost peed myself!!!Then a dude in a dress and a full beard walked by, stopped and shouted to the crowd, " Did you know anyone can have sex 24 hours a day?"God Dead shows were 1 of a kind for sure, wow!!
I could in fact me & my husband to b had sex for 22 hours straight ! If we didn’t get tired we would have had more ! 🤣😂😵💫🤪😜🥰
Who could forget 50 cent heinekens and crashing in casinos all night. Those show were great and the second set of this show i still remember. Especially at the end of standing on the moon. "Id rather be with you... With. You with you. Was like he was talking to us.
I got hit by lightning in the lot at this show! I had a headache for 3 weeks!
I saw two people fly off of holding parking lot light pole...They were standing on the concrete column holding pole...ZAPPED! flew to asphalt parking lot ..They survived..Was that you ?
Was pure joy being at this show, and all those 90's SILVER BOWL shows...What a TRAIL BLAZED ~ R I P Brothers The music never stopped ~
A dead head said, they more psychedelic,I saw heard the same!
I was at those Vegas shows, always hot!!Got sprayed, thankfully, by the water hoses they were spraying on the people on the floor to cool them off, felt great. Then I remembered the gram of blow in my front pocket.Shrooming so good I just laughed it off, the water felt great! I love the Dead!!
I'm sitting here homeless in New Orleans on an errie empty Frenchmen Street at 5:45am watching shows, about to send off a friend that passed away. Your story about the water hoses & your blow just made my day better, thank you I needed that laugh!!
I was at vegas for the last 5 years, never missed a show. I miss it so much and have never found the same experience since. This footage sure brought back some of the greatest memories of my life, thanks.
agreed... was amazing buffalo
Boys brought the heat in Vegas
Bro, come to Dead and Co
Those were the best time's ...
I never thought they would end .
Thanks for the awesome memories never missed a weekend at the silver bowl ...
There was more people outside of the stadium than in ...😎
Very true, I was one of those outside in the lot that day. Drove from CA just to check out the scene and hang out. Next day decided hey why not buy a ticket while we're here? Little did I know.... that there was no way I would miss Tempe in Dec. Oakland in Jan and Feb …. :)
Great memory, thanks! Drove from AZ.
Nothing like Las Vegas full of Dead Heads!
Wow so nice to be at this concert years later ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I remember freakish rain.
Phil was playing so well during this period. Love watching him during the Terrapin jam. Phil brought it in the 90s. He went down swinging.
2016Oct_not quite... Phil's still swingin it!
Great way to put it
Got that right. Phil always brought the goods!
yea, gotta say...Phil did not go down. he is just swinging
Love you guys miss all the more then Grateful Times I'm going for amputation of my left leg The Dead is the Only thing that lifts my spirit to go on another day don't really have family any more that give a RatAss about me anyways .
The Grateful Dead is my FAMILY thank you Uncle Jerry see you in Heaven soon you too Brent
20 years ago today, pure joy, my first show..... amazing... the people, the whole scene,.... i went to see Steve Miller.... wow... complete life changer. heaven sent. Tyler J Coogan
Mine too! I thought Steve would be awesome but it was too hot & kinda underwhelming… THEN (as described in a previous comment)
🤩 WOW 😮 Celebrating the 30th anniversary today of my maiden voyage. I’m glad there are other eye witnesses… WALSTIB… if the thunder don’t get ya THE SMOKESTACK LIGHTNING 🌩 ⛈ ⚡️into (Terrapin > Drums > Space > Spanish Jam)… MOST DEFINITELY WILL!! Plus that HEAVEN’s DOOR SUNSET… My very first show. I’ve never been the same since. Talk about getting on the bus. 🚌 In a subsequent interview Jerry was asked about this specific show and he said “everybody got IT that day..”. I just tuned in at 1 hour and 45 minutes and the recorded audience gasps 😱 & cheers don’t even do it justice. It was truly awe inspiring (we were all freaked out looking at the sky pointing like aliens were landing)… sounds hyperbolic but it felt like a visitation from Jehovah & the heavenly hosts playing the band in perfect syncopation. My wife and I are still pinching ourselves all these years later. ‘TWAS THAT EPIC. Thank you Jesus for letting me experience this glory in LV NV of all places. SIN CITY? You love us no matter our condition. You truly put your GRACIOUS hand upon the boys that day AND the thirty years that they let the “music play the band”. Forever grateful on this MEMORIAL DAY 5/30/2022. It seems like it was just yesterday. And I PROMISE I was not on ANY hallucinogens.
* MVP that day:
Mickey miraculously played the spheres as the heavens danced ⚡️ to the beat 🥁 with lightning streaks across the southwestern sky!
I also recall a complete atmosphere shift when the GD hit the stage. There was sudden shade and this chill presence of the community getting happy 1st set doing their hippy jig... My other comment describes the second setagonia mind melt and miracles that transpired… thereafter 😳
Welcome to the bus ride Tyler. Glad to have you aboard. ❤

It's so cool to see so many people RAVING about this show. We were set up on four picnic blankets (plus friendly infiltrators), about 30 of us, at centerstage about 10 feet back from the rail. And blissful blissful blissful acid. The cosmic bud unfolding. This was definitely the best show, the eighth, of the 9-show west coast spring tour (expo, shoreline, vegas). Not a truly great Dead show (like 7/1/85 or 6/8/90 or 3/16/88 or ...) -- but one goddamn perfect right-betwee-the-eyes workaday Dead show, steal your face right off head no problemo. It's great to hear it at a mature distance and without the acid -- yes, it really is as good as it seemed under the blissful influence. I love it that Manasha puts in a short appearance around 1:51:00+ with the group in chairs behind Jerry (further behind him that it looks, flattened on the video) -- she was SO good for him, and her glow, bright as any sun. Blessings on that lady. Too.
This is a GREAT show, excellent video recording and all of the rest ! ... the seniors on Jerry's left included !
+LoloYodel I wonder who they were?
According to a trusted source, they were keyboardist Vince Wellnick's parents.
Vince took Jerry's passing so very tough. RIP Vince. I saw you TEAR it up in Boston, 94.
i agree w you man, that Sat night show, Vince lit those keys up on Walkin Blues, Big River, Promised Land, Scarlet, Last Time, OMSN
LoloYodel dude there like these guy got it look at all the people that are into this it was sold out hippie s getting fucking down hot show
We flew in from Austin for the shows. This was the Saturday show. We saw Blues Traveler later that night at Cesars or somewhere.
I was 16 when I went to this show, such an amazing experience!
I was 17. Drove down from Humboldt for this run where I had only been living for about a year after High School. Great run. This 1 & Sunday were truly EPIC!!! I caught 1991 Silver Bowl, '92 & then my last show was the "Unbroken Chain" '95 show (I missed 1993's epic Sunday 2nd set! I opted for the Cal Expo run that year.). Intuitively, my soul knew 1995 would be my last time. Never thought I'd get to hear Unbroken Chain in my wildest dreams.
I was 15. Lol.
We used to play for Silver, ... Now we play for LIFE
slickest transition from truckin to smokestack ever heard I bet. thanks
At 55:54 Vince's parents are saying to themselves "Thats our Boy"
Met a girl at this show named "Dray" from Idaho, never will forget. Thanks for sharing.
Jerry pulled the one-armed bandit on 5-30-92 and we hit a WAGON-WAGON-WAGON jackpot Sugaree-High Time-Eyes.
A 3-waygon day. Sweet.
And are you kidding me, High Time and Cumberland? That's a longshot parlay right there. After the Cassidy winner, Jerry could have just Dayjobbed us to end the set. Their work was done.
Talk about good times...words can't begin to describe the Vegas Dead Shows. If I died tomorrow my life would be complete after those days.
While everybody's going gaga over the front line of guitarists, let's not forget the backbone of Bill and Mickey. Terrapin Station live would not be possible without BOTH of them!
Thank You Voodoonola. You da man! Or Wo-man THANKS for 91 ,92, and 94.not to mention 90, 83,88,78,89,and any others from you. THAT'S DEADication.
this was an amazing few days of shows
like the old guy sittin behind Jerry..feelin it. so nice
Thank you....killer openers and I'm currently crying my eyes out to Standing on the moon 🌛 Just beautiful.
The lightening, the rainbow, the wind, THE WEATHER this day was surreal.
My first show.
The Jerry/Vince jam in "Cassidy" is just blazing!
Nice solo from Vince in Heaven's Door, too. This might be his best period with the Dead.
A trip down Memory Lane....Vegas was always so much fun.
My first show! ❤️ OMG thank you for this!
Loved when they started a show with Jack Straw
Ahhh! I was at this show. 19 and preggers. No partying or gambling for me, but what a great weekend! Thanks for posting. Great memories. Great music.
I was the guy sitting to the left of Jerry. We thought we were buying backstage tickets for andy Williams and were very surprised when we got there. We still enjoyed to concert though .
Really? There are people sitting there also on 5/31 video also. I was at these shows, and very close up all three, and I don't remember people on stage at all. But those pants!
That's Manasha in her scarf who comes in briefly, sit, and leaves again around 1:51:00. Who's the elegant brunette in shades she's with briefly, who stays after she splits
You will see something unusual in the background at the 11 minute mark, behind Vince... a breeze. My god Vegas was HOT during that time of year. In fact, that is probably fans behind the show. There is no breeze in the summer in Vegas. Certainly not in a football stadium with 70,000 other people.
Kevin Lang if you were there....during the drums and things the weather totally changed on a drop of a dime.....Remember, who knows what the weather might do? You had to be there
+Carole Barclay Hey, I remember the sudden weather change, see my comment above, did you see any birds flying in a circle above Jerrys head that show, everyone around me did, but no one could explain what they were or where they came from . They disappeared as quick as they appeared.Flying in a perfect circle above jerrys head, middle of the desert?Wow.
So amazing to time travel a little bit, its funny how memories are triggered. I was on Phils side on the rail (or close to it) and remember looking at that old couple sitting on the stage near Jerry taking it all in. I couldn't stop looking at them just as I can't now....lol...I never did find how who that was. Someones parents? If anyone knows, please chime in. PS - I was still missing Brent in '92 but it's a fine show.
Out of my 42 shows , this was the only "High Time" , I ever saw.
Crazy huh. Out of 82 shows, I only heard it 3-4 times. Must have been the roses the next day 5-31-92 was the only one I saw.
@@stevedzurilla2436 Hell ya brother!!!
Hes the Captain of the ship , good ol Captain Trips , What a great weekend in the sunshine
Bobs sunglasses are the universe on this
I remember that happening!!! Was there. It was a hot one. I remember leaving San Diego a day earlier on the 15 and seeing a guy with a rider in his side car on a regular motorcycle heading out at 50 mph locked in for a 8 hour drive. I thought that guy must have some good stuff to ride that low on the 15 for that duration. Fun Times!!!!
1:16:08 Parish sliding a repaired Amp chassis into Jerrys rig .. while Jerry is still playing .... everything is done without a net !
I was there! Drove up from Tucson for all 3 nights.
Best part starts at about 1:37:15
You're welcome
Fire fam!!
Lightning was incredible
Was one of the most amazing moments for many of us... what a concert.
Drove From San Diego. Great shows!
That was really cool that Jerry's grandparents were able to sit on the side of the stage to catch the show.
Vince Wellnick's parents.
Strange they're sitting in front of Vince. Maybe that's what they wanted.
Hi my man! im from Europe so i was kind of late catchin on to the Dead - glad to be able to see an hear them on their second Europe tour 90something - and now that YT cut the 10min limit I get all these GD shows ...and here goes the biggest of thx to you :-) for taking all the bother to upload thx bro manfred from germany
Thank you soo much!!! I was at this show, Steve Miller opened up for them.
Lost wages shows were always special in their own right...
This show was 🔥🔥🔥
My b-day was the 29th and we saw every show 28, 29 & 30). I remember sneaking in a big bottle of JD and the guard felt it in my bag and let me go through anyway. He just smiled and waved me on. What a Cool Guy! Hopefully his Karma has come around again. What a great weekend! !!!!!!!!
The guards had me finish my beer (in a glass bottle) before entering the stadium. I was maybe 17. :). What a world that was. :)
@@jeffreyriggs2494 Good Times Bro! I headed right to the concession stand for an xl coke and mixed a nice beverage. Halfway through I was reeling. Stay Safe Bro! T
Shows were 29th 30th and 31st. My 1st Vegas dead shows. All were epic
I got in to the 3rd show with an Eric Clapton ticket from Miami the year before. The security questioned the ticket. I asked him what time Clapton came on. He laughed and ripped my ticket and told me to enjoy slow hand. It was perfect.
Back when shorts were short.
Oh Cassidy! What a beautiful song.
I think this is the show that was delayed for an hour because our RV caught fire on I 15 and shut the highway in both directions. Because they were late, I still hitched and made the start of the show, of course!
The jack straw is bad ass!!
Such a great memory
I got miracled into this show. I wonder where my travel mates are today....
Maybe they get the 'gist' of what is happening. Love and peace cuts across all ages, races, and so-called status positions. I remember playing "Mountains of the Moon" for my ultra-conservative uncle and grandfather back in the early 1990's. When I was finished they both were so moved, that they both requested that I played the tune once again. I more than willingly complied to their request.
that is moving brother. sweet sweet. 💘
I have a pid on Manasha Garcia at 1:51:50 during space. Different people use those seats throughout the show...some of whom appear out of place. Clearly it was friends-and-family day for the band; Las Vegas would be the perfect town for that. And the old guy at the start is the correct age and appearance to be Bob's bio-dad, but I read they didn't meet until 96.
I loved the Vegas shows had alot of fun on the strip after the shows also.
Drinking at Slots of fun 50 cent Heineken.
shakedownstreet48 shane is that you??
Slots of Fun was crazy fun!
Dead Slots. Lol. I remember the shirt, a skeleton playing slot machines. Vegas Dead shows were freaking amazing! Ty, for the memories. My fave was 94, with Traffic. But, they all rocked!
well instead of finding fault i'm gonna say something nice., to the taper, this is great job filming , such a change to see good camerawork on these audience vids instead of it being shaky as fuck.
Jerry is in fine form here , god, i miss him......
I would love to know who's the lucky two people sitting behind/side of Jerry. They seem to be enjoying the best seats in the house.
I was there..my first show.. I truly got on that bus that day
Nothing and no one like Jerry on the guitar 💐💫❤️🔥🙌💕☀️🥰🌟😍🤩
The synth playin on Eyes of the World is spectacula!!
Does anyone remember the massive marshmallow war in the blazing heat which turned the ground to a gooey mess?! These 3 days were the best time I've ever had and the best shows for me! I miss u all my brothers and sisters! We're all always better off dead!
Credible solo by Vince on Sugaree ... RIP.
Beautiful
I was at this show although I was tripping on Acid!
Good man, a proper Dead show.
Seniors already get the best parking spots, now I see they get to sit next to Jerry's rig onstage at shows too...
5-30-92 Silverbowl!!
Thanks for the share! Booya
2 Things:
1. How sweet are Jerry's pants!
2. How lucky is that old dude with the beer basically sitting on stage next to Jerry!
grandpa behind jerry is feeling it!!
My 1st Dead show!
Did Steve Miller Band Open that year? If so, mine too. The best!
Is Jerry sporting the John Daly pants before they became a hit?
Get in the hole!
After
If I'm not mistaken, we had lightning hit a light standard in the stadium before or during "Fire on the Mountain"! Totally COOL!
Great times went to all Vegas Dead. Such fun Hot Hot Hot
So awesome that jerry's parents were on stage with him.
Not his parents. Jerry's dad died when he was 5 and his mother died(car accident) during the making of American Beauty. The song Brokedown Palace is about his mother's death.
I believe that’s Billy’s Dad. Or Not. Maybe Vince’s folks
#IWasThere!
I love Las Vegas
Love Jerry's Moo Moo Pants
Great sounding clip. Wonderful fidelity across all ranges. Phil isn't as clear as he might be, but I'll trade him for everything else, which is superb!
Two years before I was born, we're so lucky to have the dead
How in the world have I missed this? THANKS!!!
the opiods are back in full force with JG here
First thing I thought too. No crystal ball needed.
Great High Time!
Steller video! Comin' thru here loud 'n clear !
I wonder who are the couple sitting there behind Jerry?
How was the opening act; Steve Miller Band?
shake it now sugaree...great memories...
got off the the bus and my bro and Jay gave me a ride!to the show
Who are the older folks sitting on the stage right behind Jerry?
Amazing
Airmax jerry
Excellent
jerry wearing the John Daly golf pants again. sweet
I threw up in my mouth. Took a piss and then had a bowl. Kohd. The best one . thanks bro.
Phil get his dancey chunk-on during Eyes. Nice.
