Gaara stepping in was such good writing because of all the dynamics involved. One on hand, he is a close ally of Konoha so he wants to be sure what the alignments are before Sasuke is taken out. On the other hand it seems like he's defending Sasuke but one can also argue that he was saving the Raikage from losing more limbs. Gaara killed 2 birds with one stone without jeopardizing potential outcomes.
Plus this Sasuke is as bad or worse than what Gaara was in the past, he even cries for Sasuke

Gaara stepping up as a Kage and a Leader in this arc is truly underappreciated in this arc. Probably because they stopped caring about giving side characters new jutsu or skills and just had them spam the same jutsu from the Chuunin Exams.

Yeah, as soon as Kaguya showed up is kind of when I lost interest. Everything prior to that was just pure bliss for me. I look at Naruto/Boruto now and they have the lamest villains and absurd powers that renders our favorite characters powerless against them.

I really liked the way the raikage fought here. The discipline to stop his attack to avoid the fire at his blistering speed. Then the pride to give sasuke a smack across the face anyways.

It's only reckless if it wasn't done on purpose. As Darui implied, A purposely sacrificed his arm so he could try and finish Sasuke off and if Gaara hadn't interfered he would gladly have done the same with his leg. Sasuke needed to die and A knew that.

Honestly grew up watching naruto as a kid. Good ol times
Tobi was the MVP this arc. Sasuke attacking the summit was the equivalent to that one gradeschool classmate who always tries to start fights trying to take on multiple people, and then getting bailed out by the principle every-time he was bout to be dealt justice.
Actually he tried sneaking in and going after danzo on his own but tobi and zetsu gave him away and forced him to fight hoping to have sasuke get stronger and maybe take a few kage down

Man A was such a badass even losing his dominate arm didn't slow his fighting skills on bit. That being said, his straightforward fighting style made it easier for Sasuke to defend against his attacks especially after gaining Itachi's eyes.

I like how they've paid attention to details, left eye actives the amaterasu and right eye changes it's chakra form. In Boruto the right eye does both.

3 years of Sannin grade Teaching with Orochimaru: Taking on Kage like a boss.
Naruto, then shippuden were my first anime’s. No regrets, they weren’t the number 1 but for me will always be number 5. I didn’t have a father growing up so watching the sad moments like with shikamaru, jirirya, rin and obito, and pain really hit me hard. It’s a show you have to have patience on with the fillers but it pays off.
The most impressive arc in terms of plot armor and extra lives needed to keep Sasuke going.
Enton would have sliced Raikage's leg up like Kaguya's ice but yes it's plot armor that Sasuke's allies (Tobi, Zetsu) don't stand around and do nothing when he needs help despite putting him in that situation to begin with by telling everyone he was there. When he would have otherwise remained hidden and confronted Danzo on the way back to Konoha.

Bee said he streamed lightning through his body to avoid fatal damage. All his organs is an exaggeration. Healed seconds later by ally he brought to help him. He was also said to still be recovering from Itachi implying again he was nerfed for suspense (chapter 415 page 12).

Not even close, the only plot armor was Obito saving him from Oonoki, Raikage would've died if he kept going like that (he didn't even manage to mage a crack in Susanoo, Sasuke coughing with blood was nothing but effect of prolonged MS usage), Gaara's Sand gets burned w Amaterasu and blocked w Susanoo, Mei was getting the edge due to Sasuke being already drained of stamina and damaged due to MS usage (but not paying attention to White Zetsu was a stupid mistake) + if Sasuke was fresh he would've easily taken advantage (Mei's elemental attacks would once again get countered by MS), Oonoki was the only one who stood a solid chance with 'fresh' Sasuke

What i like about this arc is that there is still pros and cons and strategies in fights. Not nukes left and right. Here we can see Sasuke using OP AF jutsus but he is in constant pain because of his MS and will eventually go blind thus he needed Itachis eyes. The Raikages nintaijutsu is brute force and speed combined and at this time he was the fastest shinobi alive. But even his lightning armor cant protect him from Amaterasu if he gets hit and he had to sacrifice an arm to be able to hit Sasuke.
Exactly! It made the anticipation of new abilities and unique characters being introduced feel amazing. With the new series you get none of that, it's just who's faster and more durable.

Probably a justu that reappears in the line of mangekyo sharingan. I found it odd that sausake never had his own unique sharingan abilities but a rendition of itachis powers. It was probably seen or heard of before even itachi
MS was known because of Madara and his brother since they both had it. And Itachi was an S class rogue ninja (which makes him infamous) and more than likely used the amaterasu during his time after leaving the village (off screen), which of course a jutsu that creates black flames would def get talked about in the ninja world.
I always thought it was weird how that guy knew so much about it, even analyzing that he can control the flames with his other eye.
Then easily gets caught in genjutsu moments later.

If you want to argue Sasuke would have died, first prove why you think guillotine drop> liger bomb. Based on the electric explosion that shook the building I'm gonna go out on a limb(heh) and say liger bomb was more powerful

It's funny how Sasuke doesn't used armored sussano in this fight to butcher the raikage into pieces but instantly gone into armored sussano when got totally blind..and haters here are saying that sasuke had plot armor but in reality Sasuke ain't even used his humanoid sussao..the plot Itself nerfed Sasuke ability but pushed his character.
Sasuke literally fought raikage just with his ribcage sussano not even with skeleton susaano. If he would have used that raikage was Done for sure at that situation.
You do realize that Sasuke at that point barely had any mastery over the Susanoo, yes? Besides, the humanoid state is much more taxing than the ribcage state and decreases the chance of going blind than the humanoid state, which Itachi considered to be his last resort.

Susano'o is slow, I doubt he could even hit Ay at his top speed when he couldn't even keep track with his mangekyo sharingan. There was no way Sasuke was winning this fight

Plus he still have Karin to heal his chakra to large extent so that would not a problem he would go blind but not that early..

If Sasuke would have used Skelton susano against raikage at that moment amped with Amaterasu without gaara interference raikage would have sent to heaven.
It's funny how Sasuke activated his Skelton sussano just after this against gaara,temari,kakuro and darui..it's funny..

Had gaara not interrupted :
1 : raikage would've lost his right leg and left arm
2. sasuke would be dead right there and then, literally no way out and tobi wasn't around at the moment
Not even close lol, all those attacks didn't even crack Susanoo, Sasuke coughing with blood was just effect of prolonged MS usage+physical impact
This fight was all around reckless on both sides
