I think trashing the jury shows extreme evil. They give up their life, they take an oath, they risk contempt charges for violating that oath. To demean and insult them that way is disgusting. It's on par with Amber's horrendous personality, but for Elaine to do that as well is particularly disgusting.

I’ve been a juror 3x and am also a survivor of DV and SA. I always took my oath as a juror very very seriously and obeyed all the instructions given by the judges in the cases I sat on. Knowing that victims/survivors r sitting in the courtroom hoping the jury can help find them justice is something as a fellow victim/survivor that I wanted to do my best on if the EVIDENCE supported doing so. I watched this trial from start to finish myself bc I didn’t want MSM’s bias to impact me, and I wanted to decide for myself. I found AH to be the liar and the abuser and JD to be the injured party. I don’t have Twitter, FB, or IG so I wasn’t on social media either. I decided purely on what was presented in court. Most jurors take their oaths very seriously and do not want to be the responsible party for a mistrial or an appeals process.

I believe Johnny’s verbal abuse was actually reactive abuse to the abuse he was receiving from amber towards himself especially if you hear the hours of audio were she was going at him and trying to get a reaction from him whether that was from gaslighting taunting goading or hitting him Johnny’s reaction to ghat is called reactive abuse so yes they were both abusive but I believe having lived it myself I firmly believe it was reactive from Johnny to the abuse he was receiving

I try not to use bad language in my comments but that jury were absolutely fucking disgusting.
Depp was a totally innocent man who has gone through hell at the hands of a patently obvious lying, scheming, theiving, spiteful trollop. His case was so cast iron he wouldn't have done too much better if he was Christ on the cross (I'm not religious).
And for all that he has endured, much at the hands of the legal process it must be said, he got his OWN MONEY BACK AND THATS ALL.
The award was in effect the return of his divorce settlement IF SHE PAYS UP.. That's it
And to get that much he has had to spend $11m dollars at least in legal fees.
Quite honestly the jury were feckless and cowardly. And the victory it handed Heard in court has only emboldened her.
Yes it was her victory, because no man is going to have the strength of Depps case and such high priced legal representation. And yet he still lost.
Getting your own money back at the cost of $11m in a trial which success is measured in dollars IS NOT A VICTORY FOR DEPP or any man looking to the courts for redress.

Her ability to turn on and off her emotions on cue is one of the many reasons I didn't believe AH. I was married to a controlling, sadistic abuser who horribly abused my children, emotionally and physically, for the pleasure of destroying me-their mother. It took years to wrap my brain around this concept even though he flatly admitted it. I still cannot speak about most of the details and when I do it leaves me drained, emotionally shaken and filled with pain/anger. In AH's first deposition what we see is the behavior of an abuser- eating cookies, evasive when responding, smirking. There is no fear of JD, no anxiousness, no dread when "recalling" events. The court testimony was more of the same only now there is the inclusion of facial contortions supposed to mimic crying. No tears, no semblance of real emotions. All AH can produce is this faucet-like ability, turning on and off psuedo emotions in time with the movement of her head.

For me, that was very noticeable at one point where Heard had turned to part of her team sitting behind her. As she turned, she went into smiling/flirty mode, then as soon as she started turning away, it was back to being Ice Queen. That just seemed incredibly fake. Especially as I think that came not long after the recording of Heard effectively daring Depp to go legal and doing her 'school marm' thing that nobody would believe him. Then Depp's response, where he sounded genuinely sad and hurt.

      @johnnytyler5685 Před 2 lety +3

It was quite obvious to anyone with even an average IQ and even a SHRED of common sense that Amber Turd was lying once she took the stand. Actually...scratch that. It was obvious several years ago when those audio tapes first leaked. Specifically the one where she is high as a kite (in my opinion) or drunk and she is taunting Depp about his acting career and him writing (and potentially selling?) his journals or writing a memoir about his life.
In that incident she was ALONE WITH DEPP in an apartment. It was just the two of them. Moreover, this was AFTER she got TRO and publicly accused Depp of beating her up. NOBODY WITH A FREAKING BRAIN IN THEIR HEAD would EVER believe that a female victim of domestic violence would EVER talk to her ABUSER like that AT ANY POINT! Let alone right after you told the world publicly that he was a wife-beater AND when you are all alone with him in HIS APARTMENT!
That is literally the perfect scenario to not just get the SH!T beat out of her one last time, but in many REAL abusive relationships, that would've been the instance where the victim DIED at the hands of her abuser because he would've been absolutely beside himself with unbridled RAGE that his victim of five or six years had just publicly branded him a wife-beater and then came back to his apartment after getting a TRO and taunting and mocking him about doing so.
Just imagine how a REAL wife-beater would totally fly off the handle in a situation like that? Yet Depp uses nothing but his mouth and his wit to take shots back at Amber and her lies as she is making fun of him. He allows her to belittle and mock him and he basically just brushes it off. This is the man who she claimed during this trial would usually get the MOST violent SPECIFICALLY WHEN SHE "EMBARRASSED" HIM!!! WTF could ever be more "embarrassing" than being publicly labeled a "wife-beater" and getting slapped with a TRO that the whole world knows about?
She is truly a disgusting, evil POS.

I'm a Retired Paramedic in Ontario, Canada, and I can say this for a fact. MEN ARE VICTIMS OF DV as well as women. The problem here is this, if a man calls the Police for aid, the woman will 100% of the time self harm herself. To the point of drawing blood, and they will scratch their arm or neck to do this. So the Police arrive, they see the woman with "obvious injury", and the MAN, the one who CALLED FOR HELP, is immediately arrested. Men suffer from DV approximately 20% of the time. Men will suffer in silence, sometimes for years. Now here's another point to take into consideration. Per day, in the United States of America ALONE, there are 22 suicides. Not including any family gatherings like Weddings, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Birthdays where suicides rise. So, just taking the 22 per day multiplied by 365 days your total is 8,030. Now, add in all those family events, where suicides rise, you can easily add another 750 per year to that total. So now your total suicides per year are 8,780. So, once again, I'll break this down even further, FACT 1. Men commit suicide more than Women do. FACT 2. Of that final number, you will have approximately 10% that are accidental overdoses from drugs and are both men and women. FACT 3. Of that final number, you will have another 10% of suicides, both men and women, from Mental Illness. FACT 4. Of that final number, 60% are Former Military Personnel and are Veterans suffering from PTSD, and finally, FACT 5. The last 20% are Men who feel the only way to escape their DV is to commit suicide. And this is in the United States ONLY. Not including any other country like the United Kingdom, Canada or anywhere else. Just some food for thought. Men ARE AND DO suffer from DV, but they suffer in silence. From a Retired Paramedic who holds a B.Sc, An Undergraduate Degree, and had 2 years of Pre-Med prior to becoming a Paramedic for 37 years. From Ontario, Canada, Jenn. 💖 🇨🇦 🇬🇧

@@ianmckinney3446 Good Morning Ian, no, it wasn't a celebrity trial, it was a criminal conspiracy with 15 defendants and only famous in the city it was tried in (though it made national news briefly when it collapsed). However, the juror in Virginia said that the celebrity and social media factors were discounted by the jury. The Court (the Law itself) cared not one jot that celebrity was involved. I have always thought that courts are the great equaliser (what it costs to get recourse under law is another subject).
I did not miss that the juror says both were abusive. But his use of "abusive" in this context does not even start to approach the actual physical and psychological abuse that was proven to have been committed by Amber and proven not to have been committed by Johnny, hence the op-ed was correctly deemed to be defamatory. Their life was argumentative, chaotic and plagued by drug and alcohol use; I think that is what the juror was alluding to. Anyway, the word choice of a single juror (assuming he is a juror) does not overturn 6 weeks of court trial.

The funny think about the donation question, is donations have nothing to do at all with the defamation case. It's purely about her character. Had she responded in court "no, I really wanted to donate that money, and I believe one day I will, but I just haven't been able to", she would have passed with flying color. Instead, she kept trying to weasel her way out of it. She could have even said she changed her mind because her career wasn't taking off, whatever. But her actual response just made her impossible to believe.

You may be star struck when you see a major movie star in a casual situation. But when you are a juror in a court trial, and you hold the power of judgement over anyone, including a famous movie star I think that would psychologically change your power dynamic significantly. You simply wouldn't be viewing them as a movie star, but as someone you have to judge. So I think the "Star struck" argument is complete bullshit.
Also, jurors are made very clear, that to openly bias themselves will not only disqualify them from the jury but could also render them in contempt of court, which could have serious consequences. Its no joke to be called to jury duty and they know its no laughing matter.

He said he didn’t want to fail her and that everything AH did was the same things he witnessed his mother doing. JD still took care of his mother until she died despite all the abuse. Great analysis of the photographs relating to the uk trial ,would like to know more, especially why some experts are suggesting that photographs which look visually apparently have the same meta data? Thanks

When you sit on a jury you understand what your duties are! It is drummed into you what your responsibilities are and that you can be charged if you don’t follow the law!

She lost and she doesn't want MR DEPP to move on. She is a manipulator and wants to still control him.
I'm very happy that one of the jury was able to say something. She needs to get on with her life.
