Totally understand Jay, I grew up with American english watching lost of Disney movies and talking english at school. But when I moved to Australia, it took me a week to adapt to the accent.
Aussies tend to speak really fast, Jake slows down when in interviews also we pronounce different letters like for truth untold it’s tRUth untOLd but Americans it TRUth UNtolD
Ok so basically, aussies tend to annunciate certain parts of words and sounds differently than Americans and aussies also tend to cut off certain letters when they speak. Americans are the same way but with other words which is why we have some difficulty understanding them. But even in America we have different accents depending on what part of the country your from. I hope this helps :)
