I just started a book club with a friend! Idk if it can be called a "club" technically bc its just us but we call it that anyways lol. We started reading together last month, we've blown through like 4 books already! We have lunch meetings sometimes (we work together) so we can eat and chat about what we read. Its soo much fun having someone to talk about it with and it definitely makes me want to read more! I saw a comment mention the libby app, I love it! It's free and you can have library cards in different states so if the wait is too long in one library, you can see what other libraries have copies available sooner.

I’m in a book club this year too!! It’s just me and a couple of friends but I’m so glad I finally have some people holding me accountable in my reading. Your Kindle cover is so pretty 😍 I went with just a pink one for mine so I can put stickers all over it hahaha. Best of luck in your book club! I may have to check out asmr by bea and see if she does a book club with her audience (perhaps a JubileeWhispers book club on the horizon? 👀) I’d recommend trying Libby for kindle books too! Depending on where you live there is usually a variety of books available that you can borrow. I tried Kindle Unlimited for a bit but I didn’t feel like the selection they carried was going to be stuff I would like.
Anyway, carrying on with my work now but I’m sure I’ll add more 😂 Thanks for these life update ramble videos! It feels like catching up with a friend ❤
Also, I’m so sorry that happened to you with the guy at the bar! People can be so scary sometimes. I know that if I were in a situation where racial slurs were being flung at me I definitely would’ve run away crying 😂 I’m so glad you were able to take something good away from it.
Ahhh I love that we're both in book clubs!! I was torn between stickers or a cover, I might add stickers in the future hahaha. But right now they decorate my water bottle! I am def going to get into Libby after I make my way through my book backlog. Thank you for the rec!
Emily Wilde’s encyclopaedia of Faeries would be a great book club book! A study in drowning is a 1 off (if I remember correctly) that gives similar dark academia vibes and has a little fae lore.

I legit never carry cash like I’d have to go take it out of the ATM which is a hassle. I’ve gotten to the point where sometimes I don’t even have cards I just use Apple Pay 😅 I never thought I’d be that person.

I think salmon can be really tasty sometimes and not so good other times- it really depends on how fresh the fish is/ how it’s cooked. I’ve had some really dry, overcooked, fishy salmon that tasted terrible. But when I can get it fresh from a seafood market, and cook it with ginger and soy sauce it comes out really tasty and moist and not fishy at all :)

I’m at the tail end of gen z and can not imagine not having any cash on me if can help it I guess it just depends on where you live but 😊technology breaks down all the time and there are places or times where you just need to have at least 20 dollars on you so it’s just insane to me 😂.
