This makes me really want Charmers to get more supports! I love the new spells/traps but I want the monsters to be good too than just vanilla beaters. I wish they could they a proper retrain and/or a boss monster that makes use of them.
In fact the idea of the charmer was to steal mountruo from the rival with the same attribute maybe they could do a rework and get charmer with effect like that
@Winter Winstar what could be amazing is if the new retrains could steal the monsters they want on the field, change its attribute, then (quick effect) immediately tribute both to special summon a Charmer Link-2 from the extra deck or a Familiar-Possessed monster of that attribute from the deck as if it was special summoned by its own effect, and they'll gain an additional effect afterwards.
@Chris Portillo They definitely are a fun deck to play. It's very simple and easy but also very effective thanks to the new spells/traps they were given. I honestly do hope they get more support that aren't generic, like the Link-2 and the Channeler forms. If they can get a boss monster (a link-4 or Fusion), that would definitely give the archetype a viable advantage
One of the few archetypes that deserve real support and a curious game mechanic hurts that konami only takes support for decks like sky striker or broken decks
You could have won the Exodia duell u did one attack mistake. Sangan first then dharc. It has been obviius he played the witch he just got and u saw her defpoints. But over all i loved it .
Both the Charmer deck and the Familiar-Possessed deck of Spiritual Mastery are join together as one. Underworld Goddess of the Closed World is NOT part of either Charmer nor Familiar-Possessed.
One of the Charmer could've been summon animation for the opening introduction of the gameplay. Especially when special summoning them during the duel.
Why would you when you can run the better field card and can afford to run skill drain. Side note Secret Village kinda protects your floodgates as most of the meta isn’t spellcaster beside invoke shadoll
Ichirin in Master Duel has helped me out alot more than Secret Village actually. Seeing that it helps against hand traps and such benefits me from not worrying about my starting combos. I rarely ran into decks that are more spell focus and are more towards using monster effects.
This deck is pretty bad on itself. Usually you want too hybrid it with another spellcaster archetype or engine. (ex : fairy tail luna, magistus, fortune fairy, witchcrafter, doriado, adventurer, dogmatika, etc) You can also use eda the sun magician or summoner monk to support this deck.

Even in a pure deck it has its own benefits, but there are also many different variations and engines to make use of Charmers and give them more consistency like Dogmatika, Fairy Tail, Magistus, Kaiju, Shaddoll, Invoked, Branded, and surprisingly Virtual World.

I have NEVER seen a numeron player with a backup plan
It's a simple deck so coming up with something to do if the otk fails is probably the most important thing they can do

Witch of the Black Forest is also a great 1 card combo starter to bring out your Charmer link and backrow.
