Depending on if it was #1 or #2 diesel could impact it too. In addition to the oil being thicker, #2 diesel would start to gel or cloud in those temperatures. A little kerosene added to the mixture would probably do the trick to keep things flowing.
Kerosene or gasoline, plenty is enough in the ratio of half a liter per 10 liters of the total mixture. The most important thing is to filter the used oil well so that there are no mechanical particles of carbon or abrasion in it - then it should not be a problem to completely omit motor or heating diesel/heating oil and use only a pure mixture of a little kerosene or gasoline and used oil as fuel...
It’s because he’s busy with his kid most of the day now, so once he’s properly asleep he can film these. He talked about it in the end of a recent video.
What I don’t understand is it started up, it ran for awhile enough to get hot so the fuel should have thinned up again at least in my mind. So idk maybe the fuel is just a bit too thick in general
What diesel are you running? Strait number 2 diesel starts to gel at >10 ° F. Biodiesel is an even higher point than that. The reason you got that code is because the fuel filter is clogging up with gelled fuel. Try mixing in some number 1 diesel or some kerosene in. Might work.
When using mixed fuel like that it's best to have a separate tank so you can start it on diesel/kerosene and switch over to the mixed fuel then before turning it off you switch back to pure diesel/kerosene.
@@tyfly86 It was a joke. Honestly it looks like he lives in a suburb and has neighbors. And he says in his videos a lot that its 2 or 3am when he's filming which makes it even funnier. lol.
Funny you say early in the morning when we all know that he hasn’t slept yet. It’s something I’ve noticed in CZcamsrs in particular and the more ya think about it, kinda makes sense. No 9-5 job, no direct need to maintain a “normal” sleep schedule so it gets all outta whack. And most of em are fairly young, young people have terrible sleep schedules. It’s weird older people need less sleep but damn do they stay consistent
lol, yeah it's a good idea to go with mfr recommended. But I guess if you're in a freeze and caught running low on diesel, the added run time mixing with used oil could mean difference surviving or freezing to death. But I think maybe running at 20%, as it would be even worse if I can't run it due to clogging.
What the frick happened to the gaming live streams? You said that you were gonna do one several months ago, as well as bring your bro back into it. What the flip?
He's definitely that neighbor that's doing weird shit at 3am
Yeah I was thinking his neighbors must love him.
I'm also that neighbor
Neighbor: Peeks in Tyler's garage window.
Goes home and tells wife, "He's filming himself drinking a bunch of Japanese juices"
Neighbor:😴😴
Tyler: it's a good time to start a heater
The first thing we learn is how cold it has to be for Tyler to break out the big boy pants and shoes

Why do you love to do your videos at 3 it’s a great question
Usually someone else points out if your question is good or not.

@@YTSBryceoh I didn’t even know he had kids
Sometimes you get bored and have a itch to create something 🧍♂️or u just get energy to post or edit something lol
Holy crap I didn't know he had kids😭good for him I hope he's happy
I skipped to 4:11 and it explained the answer to the title very well. Thank you
Late night Tyler tube yes plz 😂😂
E08 refers to low fuel level. Highly likely your diesel mix is too viscous to flow quick enough for the heater to work properly.
He said it in the video
What I don’t understand is it started up, it ran for awhile enough to get hot so the fuel should have thinned up again at least in my mind. So idk maybe the fuel is just a bit too thick in general
I posted whilst watching it, then got to the part where he said it@@StaticM223
I'm glad I accidentally fell asleep early so i could wake up at almost 2am and watch this
Whispers into the camera to be considerate, then fires that up 😂
I hate whispering voices 😂

He says in the last section it's a mix
🙌🏼
Whispers because it's 3am....starts a jet engine. Gotta love this guy🤣
Tyler, it's ALWAYS 3 am lol...
Wassup Tyler!!

I love these surprise videos! They're the best! 😂
that was loud, neighbors must of loved it lol
Come on, we know he lives in the woods down a 7 mile long driveway.
@scottcol23 had no idea where he lives. Assumed since the majority of ppl live in a city he did too.

Gotta wonder why he likes doing his videos so early in the morning when he should be trying to sleep at that hour
sleep schedules are a social construct
@@jilletdelphine totally agree. even with circadian rhythm talk. like, i feel way better when it's around midnight and the witching hour !!
Idk why in general he tends to do his videos later, but this one is because he needed it to be very cold, and nights are typically colder.
it the coldest outside in the night time. Just my guess

Glad he's not my neighbor. Out there with floodlights at 3am running this loud ass diesel heater.
Using oil in those will badly gum up the internal heat exchanger. Same with vegetable oil whether it’s clean or not. It works until it doesn’t.

Legend of CZcams provides again
When it's really cold you can crank it up and run the hair clipper over your sack in the warmth of your heater.
“Honey, why is our neighbor starting a plane at 3AM?”
1am upload? I’m all for it🤣🤣🤣
Dude posted at 1am and im here for it
I don’t remember if you made a diesel mix with used cooking oil
Here a question for you what about trying used cooking oil in the heater
I run diesel and oil mix in my trucks in winter i gotta run 70/30 diesel to oil but summer i can run 30/70 diesel to oil
You are my favorite you tuber ever!
I wonder what your neighbors think of you. I’ve always wondered. Or if you have any.
You should test some grills and smokers. It might grab the attention of adjacent audiences plus who doesnt love to grill?
Can you put things in jars full of oven cleaner
That may be a good one!
You could possibly try a lower winter rating oil?
I wander if it would run on a 90 oil 10 gas mix
Just pour water in it. Make it thinner! Lol
If it was starting to produce heat then let it sit for a few minutes and the heat will radiate and warm your fuel up and go again
These things work wonders in a semi
E08 on mine means I’m out of diesel. Just fill it, and hold the power button for a few seconds.
That Tyler hasn't yet succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning is a minor miracle...
He's outside
@@mtnman8783 True, he is slowly learning to be more careful but you never know with Tyler...
When did Tyler start using Scammer Payback's theme song?
Yes it will..
I expected you to say " Electricity is out in the area, so let's test"
But being a weirdo testing it for no reason at 3. Thats the Tyler we know!
Your neighbours must hate you. Heater that sounds like a jet engine going off at 3 am.
The thermomether is on degrees celcius
I wonder if the neighbors get mad at him and calls the police on him
Tyler why is your window plastic sheeting and some kind of aluminum radiant heat barrier material instead of glass panes?
thats where he had the diesel heater originally inside the garage.
Why is there a bag over your window? Did you break it?
Are you living in a deaf community? If you were my 3am nightmare neighbor, I'd go out of my way to annoy you every time you woke me up. 😁
That is the creepiest thumbnail you’ve had so far.
Here within 10 minutes of upload
your biggest accomplishment this week
oh, i _can_ tell tyler... _i can tell..._
This isint a combustion engine??
random comment to help with the **ALGORITHMS** 12/15 sneeze
The red rooster crows at midnight.
How's THAT for a random comment.🙂
put gasoline in it
It’s out of fuel
Try kerosene in it
I bet the neighbours appreciated a generator running at 3 in the morning
What the frick happened to the gaming live streams? You said that you were gonna do one several months ago, as well as bring your bro back into it. What the flip?
I bet your Neighbours aren't to happy with you
3 degrees what ? use the Celsius please not all of us use monkey measurements.
Older Mercedes manuals used to say to add gas to the diesel when the temp dropped below a certain temp.
