I want to let you know how much I love and appreciate your historical photo compilations. Viewing one of your 8’19” videos is the last thing, literally, that I do each day before lights out.
I feel an emotional connection to those street scenes, architectural views, people portraits, and industrial shots; to the enormity of people’s struggles to not only exist but to do so with a little elan. It puts my mind at some peace and respite at the end of my day.
So…thank you so much for your daily contribution to my life.
I don’t know if you’re able to say, but I’d love to know where you gather all these shots from and what archives you have access to.
I, personally, slightly prefer pix from a little later than 1930, but then I also like seeing the more distant historical shots back to even the Civil War era. So, don’t change anything! 😁

1:30 George C. Tilyou, creator of Steeplechase Park at Coney Island, went to visit the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago on his honeymoon. Tilyou wanted to buy the fair's 250-foot-diameter (76 m) Ferris wheel, which contained 36 cars that could each fit 60 passengers. However, that attraction had already been sold, so he built a half-size version on Coney Island at Surf Avenue. Tilyou's Ferris wheel, erroneously dubbed the "World's Largest Ferris Wheel", contained 12 cars each with a capacity of 18 passengers. The attraction became one of the most popular on Coney Island, and Tilyou began adding other rides and attractions, which at first operated separately.

I liked the photo of the guy with an Apple II in 1982. We bought our first computer in December 1984 - and Apple IIC - no hard drive - 5-1/2” floppies and about 518memory (if I have my math correct 🫢).
