FANTASTIC, Korg!!! Great update for the iOS version, especially the addition of AUv3 to the gadgets. Now, please, add AUv3 to the iM1, iWavestation, iPolySix, and especially ARP ODYSSEi. And while you’re at it, please fix the one glaring problem with the Lexington gadget: the missing Analog/Equal switch. Lexington is locked into the “analog” setting, which makes 2-oscillator patches practically unusable. I officially requested this years ago directly through Korg Support, and nothing has been done. For the record, the Odyssey is one of my all-time favorite synths, and I would even be willing to pay for an IAP to get this fixed.

Incredible update, just was thinking recently Gadget was finished. Just fantastic news.
So happy to see the Gadgets available as AUv3! And a free upgrade was unexpected too! Unfortunately the Lexington and Montpelier Gadgets aren’t available as AUv3, but I’m now hopeful that updates to iMono/Poly and Odyesseyi are in the works as well as hosting AUv3 in Gadget.

this is insane. just checked yesterday whether AUv3 is available, questioned why you guys were making life so hard for us, giving incredible tools but keeping them locked in a castle, considered getting the desktop version, and then said meh f'it not worth it

This is the best iOS music news I have heard in years. Gadget has been my favorite from the early days and auv3 has always been a dream, but they did more than that, the new chord and arps, the new sampler gadget, the 8 band eq and transient shaper….. damn
I think I will switch back to Gadget as my main iPad DAW now, just because I love how easy and stable it is, plus the UI looks so pretty.

Even so, I would rather deal with a little lag or latency and still get the app, than not at all.
@@rokko_hates_japan I use both and android doesn’t perform nearly as well. That’s why the android versions of apps lack many features that the iOS versions have. Besides, android has many different apps to make music. From caustic 3 to g stomper, fl studio mobile,audio evolution , etc.

The clip launcher view is only available for the 'new from genre select' projects and not for the user project?
What is the use of the new 'loop on off" button?
Now in scene view we need to go in the clip view to modify the fx parameter so its not possible anymore to modify at the same time an fx parameter and for exemple the volume of another track... The possibilty to send midi note to a drum track in a specific genre (ballad, bossa or disco) has been deleted ??
Still no way to modify a chord type? Still no way to midi map the undo button or an arrangement view? At least volume metronome is a good thing
@louisbrau1502, the Loop On Off function makes the song restart when the last scene finished playing.

Still - no Key hold function. No double tap to reset parameters. Delay when previewing notes in piano roll.. And Good Lord the fx selection knob in Bilbao.. Great update but please fix ancient workflow things first

Darwin doesn't appear to be AUv3 (and neither does Lexington, etc) ... which maybe hints that a non-gadgetized iM1 AUv3 might be in the works?

No. Gadgets from external apps (Darwin/iM1, Lexington/ARP Od., Milpitas/iWavestation, etc) are not available in AUv3.
Now I no longer have to export stems to Logic to use plugins on them. That alone is worth the extra money. And the looper player just sweets the deal.

Stockholm gadget, PERF page, KEYS tab: “ONE SHOT” key still does not work. It’s has been broken for years and no amount of bug reporting has made any difference.

Transporte buttons are missing. Just updated and can’t play because play and stop buttons are missing. I’m on iPhone 11 running iOS 16.3.1
gadget3 next update wish : paremeter knob for undo redo button / parameter original value action or appear (ex. double touch) / project file share export system / scene name rename/ Show bpm, etc. in the tempo box on the bottom bar of the menus./ When creating a new project, enter a user title instead of automatically generating a title.

@Korg: $99 upgrade price for owners of existing v2 plugins AND additional $99 for owners of korg gadget 2 for mac ? Pass. Not enough changes to justify this price. $49 for ea/would make a lot more sense. Not worth the money for an upgrade unless VST3 is a dealbreaker - we get a new sydney loop device, and a guitar strumming gadget and that's it if we already own this. WTF Korg?

@@cokomairena yes no question. It's just that i've been using gadget vst plugins on windows for ages, and we still get no native korg gadget app on windows. It's like really? Look I get it, just not going to pay $99, that's nuts.
yup .. been KORG gadget user since day 1. They seem very lazy to do the upgrade. For Mac user this should be version 2.5 and should be free. For iOS (yes bought this too). AUV3 feature should be available already in version 2. What a greedy move here.
iOS upgrade was free for me. Now I have AUv3 availability of my gadgets!
I hoped for a Stereo imager and a better (8 band) equaliser to be added for as long as l have been using Gadget. These are really great additions for me. Worth the upgrade price? For me yes. Of course you decide for yourself

Android version (latency isn’t a valid excuse anymore)
Fix the switch version (feature parity and full touch support)
Dear Korg, you made AUv3 support the wrong way. I love Gadget as a DAW and its handy midi editor. I only wish Gadget to host other AUv3.
Gadget is the best designed and most handy for iPhone, iPad. I enjoy all Korg gadgets and know them by heart. Playing Moog synths and run by FabFilter FX will be a dream setup for iOS. TNX!

Are you (korg) going to do anything to make that new kaoss 404 worth the price? Because the hardware looks pretty cool… other than the connections… two outdated usb and rca… I mean… I really want to like it, but…
I love these gadgets, I bought it on my nintendo years ago… I’ve been looking into getting the VST versions but $150 (on sale) seems on the steeper side, Im wondering if its a better idea to get it for iOS since I have a cracked ipad laying around somewhere and just send it MIDI messages like an external instrument in Ableton. Has anyone done this? Does the iOS offer less features or gadgets than the VST version?

Ya great, free update to the newer Guys, I got korg Gadget for Mac, still doesnt work properly, The Piano only makes white noise, they keep telling me to reinstall, they never fixed it, Plus the cpu usage was so high it was unusable. now they want $100 to upgrade and you can never sell the software. I feel dooped, not a good feeling👍
99$ for this Mac update with just two very basic gadgets (the sampler is not a sampler but a loop player...), a play tab just detached from the gadget and a sound browser ? No thanks

Look well conceived but... until Korg won't allow reselling its products in its licenses, I won't buy more of its softwares.
Why can't tthey do what Moog did and have us also be able to use the AUV3 in Mac? Moog did it and it was free for people who already own the Moog products in their iPad.

really 2024 and not Android? not even Windows? disappointed. On Android you could try Pixel which follows the mine of iOS...
99$ for an upgrade with just a basic sampler which is a loop player actually, there is zero sampling functionality, and the other rhythm gadget is a joke, the workflow is still the same without any innovation, just the addition of a play tab which was already part of the gadgets 🤣, the sequencer has zero new functions. It's worth 20$, 99$ I can have Kontakt complete on promo
