i completely agree with you. i have grade 4 and already 2 urologist told me "it was not big deal" or "dont worry until you want to have children". The last (third) one at least made me have an exam again (i already hd done it befor the first urologist and already said i had grade 4) and then later told me "Surgery is only recomended for pain or low sperm coutn and your sperm count is ok, but I can do the surgery if you want to".
What's your current situation? Kindly share...would be highly informative to me...thank you..

If the spermogram is normal, but we have pain, shrinking testicle, low libido what we should do?

Hey doc, I was seeing a urologist for years and he told me my varicocele was fine and there was no need for varicocelectomy. Turns out I have bad atrophy on the left side now and my test levels are low/normal (467ng/dl). I’m 30 years old and I now have ED and low libido. I had surgery 4 months ago. Will the atrophy improve at all? Will my testosterone improve at all?

@@maheshbheemanatham652 hey so I lift weights and eat healthy, I also started taking Tongkat Ali and fadogia agrestis herbs. Serum test is over 700ng/dL and I feel like volume has come back into my testicle. Overall I’m definitely doing better

@@maheshbheemanatham652 yes absolutely you should get it done because the varicocele can cause atrophy and therefore decrease sperm and testosterone production. The data shows it does increase testosterone post varicocelectomy

its frecuent, but not ok. get treated if you can already see them bc it will get worse (been there, found out at 15 first went to doctor at 18 and they denied surgery until i am 24 now, probably 25 when i get surgery)

That's why I can't understand your logic you urologists!!
You said if it doesn't affect you today it can affects you tomorrow the patient has to check up every year, like WHY NOT DOING THE SURGERY TO AVOID TESTITCLE SHRINKING in the first place.
That has no logic at all with what you saying OMG
You also said that it has a cure, THEN DO THE SURGERY whatever the case is, what's the problem!
You might say, yeah there's some complication for the Surgery but the complication's can be avoided 90% of the times and even if there are some complication's then those complication's can occur even later when the patient do the Surgery at a later time!!

Hi friend. Excuse my poor English. Sometimes I have big difficulties in explaining what I mean. There may be some misunderstanding. So basicly we can say, not all varicocele patients need operation. If it decreases sperm parameters, causing pain, causing decrease in testis volume, causing problems in sexual activities we have to treat it. But still if we operate every varicocele without looking for these indications, 30-40 % of operations will be done unnecessary

I mean at one day he will remove it anyway and in this time period it will be affecting the testicle volume, I can't see any reason for not removing it in all cases even if it doesn't affect the sperm count or anything else because IT WILL ONE DAY then why do the patient has to have it until then!! I can't understand this logic
@Saturnis That's what your doctor tells you, in fact go ahead and read some latest researches about Varicocele and how it's associate with some bad condition's!
Also it might affect you T level while you are not aware of it. also It's a not only a blood pooling it's also a toxic blood that pooled down there, which of course will affect your testicle in a bad way.
@Saturnis I haven't said Varicocele causes Toxic blood I've said the reflux which occur in the damaged and enlarged vein's contains toxic blood because that blood didn't move back into the blood circulation to get filtered in the kidney's!
