I updated my Lumia 635 from Windows 8.2 to Windows 10 Mobile 1709 (10.0.15254.603) following C alyx Hikari's instructions. Check when he imported the registry file (at 4:40) there are 3 options, just choose RS2_1709_950.

Worked for me ! Thanks! Lumia 520 😊. But in the last update, an error has occurred. I fixed this error with update of the last version of firmware in the Windows recovery tool. Due this update, i returned to Windows 8 and started all again and worked. Before the update of firmware the starting number of my firmware was 3050. Now it is 3058. If you try now update for Windows 10, before update your firmware with windows recovery tool so that no errors occur in the last update. After updated of firmware you need update your Windows 8 until the last update or the verision 8.10.14219.341. Thus you can start update for Windows 10.

I had already tried in the past, but back then it seemed way too complicated and had better stuff to do. Besides, it is not unlocked, so it is not useful still. I rolled back my Lumia 635 to 8.1 and I found it could not access the Store anymore. So, I had to use this way to update to 10. I got no problem updating to the 14939 version. Thanks a lot. If it is possible to grab the file directly to 14939, I am looking forward to it.

While I was installing Interop Tools, my phone came to a "frozen" state which it just stay at the start screen, the touch is unresponsive, the power button is broken so I cannot restart, all I can do right now is wait for the battery to drain or reset it again from WDRT. You don't want to use Windows 10 mobile on your Lumia 520/521. It doesn't have enough ram to run the OS. I did it for a few months a couple of years ago since I opted into the Window 10 preview program. The RAM shortage causes apps to constantly crash or freeze, which would cause your phone to overheat, and it actually corrupted both the built in storage and my sd card because when windows runs out of RAM it start using your memory storage as virtual RAM in a process called page filing. Flash storage memory has a limited number write cycles before the flash cell degrades to a point where it is no longer useable. So don't upgrade it to windows 10 unless you want to burn out your built in storage and any sd card you put in it.
I followed your steps on XDA forum and it all works well for my Lumia 1020. I also Interop unlocked it to trick it thinking it's a Lumia 1520 and I have no problem getting the final build of v1607 Anniversary Update. I'm not dared to go for v1703 Creators Update and v1709 Fall Creators Update because of battery life.

I wonder if that was the problem. Now my 1020 can receive emails, calls, and texts, gained access to Store for some fancy apps, it basically alive now, yay. Download the Over-the-cable Updater tool for Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows Mobile 10 (file name OtcUpdaterZip.exe) from here: www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=56726 and run it with your phone connected to your computer; first back up your data since it will reset your phone to Windows 8.2. After that you can use Calyx Hikari's method. I hope this answers your question; I updated my Lumia 635 to Windows 10 Mobile 1709 (10.0.15254.603) that way.

Yes, this is a HUGE issue. I have a Lumia 1020 that I loaded everything I thought I would ever need on before the Store closed to Win 8.1 users. I'm still using that one because I'm still snookered on the Messaging App.

Howdy. Samsung ATIV Odyssey (SCH-I930) user here. I wanted to get this phone to Windows 10 Mobile, but the highest OS version I can get automatically is 8.10.14203.306. Developer unlocking may not be an option for anyone anymore because the Windows Phone Dev Center seems to never respond to login attempts anymore. I have tried using -W_O_L_F-'s MBN Creator (to at least try to change the registry so that I could spoof the phone model into a model officially supported by a direct upgrade to Windows 10 Mobile), but it can never detect my phone and it appears that the last time they worked on that app was in 2015. Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but do you know of any other way of forcing this phone to 8.10.14219.341 so that I can use your offline method?
To prevent this tool being sold, I used bat2exe to protect the tool. If you only trust antivirus software instead of me, then don't use it, until I think it's time to make it open-source.
No. You have to update your phone to a newer version (8.10.14219.341) or newer, otherwise even if you force to push the package to the phone, it will refuse to process at all.

) since it contains all of the necessary files and folders. The link contains zipped folders for V5.2 Beta 4 and Beta 5. I only downloaded and extracted V5.2 Beta 5.

Luego de cambiar el Firmware se repite el proceso y SOLVED!!!

When choosing the reg file I chose RS for 950XL. I wonder if that was the problem.
Now my 1020 can receive emails, calls, and texts, gained access to Store for some fancy apps, it basically alive now, yay. However, bluetooth, glance screen, and call block functions are unable to be used, which is a big pity.

@@theMadRads Anything above version 1511 will fix broken store etc. They killed 1511's ability to use live services due to a store/licence bug.

Download the Over-the-cable Updater tool for Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows Mobile 10 (file name OtcUpdaterZip.exe) from here:

and run it with your phone connected to your computer; first back up your data since it will reset your phone to Windows 8.2. After that you can use Calyx Hikari's method. I hope this answers your question; I updated my Lumia 635 to Windows 10 Mobile 1709 (10.0.15254.603) that way.

After getting logs from the device, it shows a message in spanish saying: "Hay varios elementos raíz. línea 2, posición 2." its English equivalent is "“There are multiple root elements. Line 2, Position 2", so there's no way to upgrade the brick I have. I've tried with WP Internals 2.8, no result as there's no original ROM for the phone. If you have any idea, please let me know.

Also, Microsoft Messaging went missing. I tried to reinstall it via Store, and it shows that the app is incompatible with the device. IDK why.
Yes, this is a HUGE issue. I have a Lumia 1020 that I loaded everything I thought I would ever need on before the Store closed to Win 8.1 users. I'm still using that one because I'm still snookered on the Messaging App.

Howdy. Samsung ATIV Odyssey (SCH-I930) user here. I wanted to get this phone to Windows 10 Mobile, but the highest OS version I can get automatically is 8.10.14203.306. Developer unlocking may not be an option for anyone anymore because the Windows Phone Dev Center seems to never respond to login attempts anymore. I have tried using -W_O_L_F-'s MBN Creator (to at least try to change the registry so that I could spoof the phone model into a model officially supported by a direct upgrade to Windows 10 Mobile), but it can never detect my phone and it appears that the last time they worked on that app was in 2015.
Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but do you know of any other way of forcing this phone to 8.10.14219.341 so that I can use your offline method?
