  • Today I will discuss the difference between the USL league 2 and the UPSL. Both Leagues are a great way to grow as a footballer, and I hope this video helps those who were confused .

I hate the UPSL. I work for a Georgia Division team and sadly we can’t have a goal song because the owner of the team said he was told by a associate of our division or one of the higher ups from the UPSL that theres some unwritten rule where you can’t have a song due to a time where one team in the division used a explicit rap song as a goal song. Not sure if its just a dumb rumor if it was true. I’ve only found 2 or 3 teams in this entire league that have goal songs, the rest don’t. Its so weird…..

Great stuff but for everyone watching USL 2 is definitely the better choice if you can. UPSL carries less importance for two reasons it’s easier to get in because there are tons and two they aren’t normally tied to any specific team but independently created without a higher level team attached.

Good video, sucks how this country is full of leagues which on the field is similar but structurally they aren’t connected, making it complicated for players to make a decision. And yes at the end of the day go to the team with the best connections to increase your chances of being seen by the right person, making the UPSL and USL 2 not too different. Also the UPSL has WAY more teams than the USL 2, most people in this country are closer to a UPSL team than a USL 2.

One pro for UPSL I see is that some MLS academy teams (3rd team U19/20) play in these conferences. If you are young 15-19 it’s great exposure to those academies.

Most UPSL Premier Teams would crush USL2 teams and that's the truth. USL won't exist in 5 years. Just my thoughts. USL2 is American Soccer which is not the best soccer. In UPSL you get exposure to South American, African, and Euro style of play which is way more advanced than any American style of play.

I’ll be honest I don’t think you’re right USL 2 has a very good standard of players especially international players who play at D1’s and D2’s even coming from abroad I personally know players who are playing in top UPSL teams and they don’t start on their college teams not through lack of experience but simply because they’re not good enough, it really just depends
