    The best thing I think they could have possibly added to the game is the augmentation transfer system comma because now I'm willing to actually grind out and get BIS, because I know my hard work would pay off and when the new stuff comes out I am not going to lose any of it, I can just move it up which is the best incentive I've had

      @Spikesxu  Před měsícem +2

      Most definitely! The augmentation transfer system was a huge win for the game, without doubt! It has helped tremendously to alleviate some of that pressure you'd get in worrying about when the next new gear is going to be released. I'm glad that it has allowed you that level of comfort and motivated that drive to obtain top tier augments!

      And what makes it even better is there is gonna be no EX augs for armors so no having to reaugment like how we did with our weapons 🙏🏾

      @Spikesxu it is great, second time in the games history while I've actually got best in slot, before I could manage it if I wanted to, I just never bothered because all that work was just going to be erase and I was like no, I would rather save up and keep my stuff into I need it later on, but augmentation alleviates that because now I can just up slot my pre-existing equipment and when I have enough passes I can transfer, I'll be holding off for when the new stuff comes I'm seeing just how much better it is than my existing Gear, and if it's big enough I'll make the transfer I should have two passes by then

    i have to disagree with this dunking on people that simply dislike the content, I've been a long time player from the early days from PSU released a demo on x360, then paying for the live service ( as well as having to pay xbox gold membership before it was later changed just to play the game) when full game released seeing that through to the end, while also playing psp1 and psp2 with former friends, then eventually saving up to buy my first pc to play PSO2 JP when it was announced and watched it grow. PSO2 I loved and I would log in and stay logged in daily enjoying every moment chilling with friends, running whatever type of quest and running fun EQ's, ( UQ's if global ) with its fast paced combat and vast choice of PA's and Tech but all that came to a complete halt with NGS. Given I still continued to play and grind up until Starless came to Kvaris where I just reached my limit on looking passed things.
    the TLDR: NGS is not my first PSO game and I think critiquing the content for it while its has and always be niche but maintained loyal fanbase is a fair thing. Since players characters were carried into the next title and there are players like myself that have sunk countless years of both time and money into a game and I think its completely valid for people to criticize the game for what ever is being pushed out by Sega. I don't play much anymore because of the things I dislike but i'm sure like others just long for the time where the game reaches a point where its fun again for us. I'm not here to cause trouble just sharing my experience and my take.

    • @Spikesxu
      @Spikesxu  Před měsícem +1

      Hello!
      The bigger issue here is understanding the difference between criticism and just being toxic. Which on today's internet, people have increasingly found more difficult to understand how to distinguish between. Context matters, and how one says things matters. There is a fine difference between disliking content & voicing constructive criticism, versus disliking something & just being toxic & fueling a chaotic situation. Once again, context matters. And how one words things matters.
      Constructive criticism is good. And you will never see me dunk on constructive criticism. As, I'm always open to discussion and I promote discussion at all corners of my content. However, there is a correct way to strive for change, and a wrong way to strive for change. That should be the key takeaway here.

      Indeed! It wouldn't surprise me if their intention is to make it permanent after the LTQ portion. Of course, it's not here yet either, so we're not fully sure on if there will be an NPC that kind of walks us through the system or whatnot. We shall see!

    Yea the MARS system being a system is nice. If it was DB ver 2 or AIS would stink as DB skills didn't scale and were just scales and AIS was just only given when sega said so.

    *NGS Headline starts*
    Rage Baiter: *locks in* "Time to stir the pot once more."
    Since I know more that SEGA isn't going to adjust the baseline rdr, having PSO2 Day 6 days a month is very generous and appreciated. Other than that I just hope they add more cross-ship content in the future like maybe a cross-ship player space and more banger collab weapon camos.

    • @Spikesxu
      @Spikesxu  Před měsícem +3

      Them Rage baiters are next level in their commitment to wasting their time. I'll give them that, hands down. 😂
      And yea the PSO2 Day is really huge! There were a lot of curve balls in the information presented to us that truly caught me be surprise.
      In regards to the Cross Ship Play, they did make fairly clear when Leciel go the first instance of Cross Play, that they'd be looking to implement it much more in the future. It was well received, so we 100% know that we are going to be seeing a lot more of it throughout all aspects of the game! Which is extremely exciting to know!

    The NGS team is doing something extremely important for the game here; they are creating player engagement and enhancing player agency. It has been so long since we've actually had a player-focused, player-centric update that is specifically just, "here, have fun with this insane thing." MARS isn't just another system; its the re-invigoration of player choice and agency. Not that those weren't there before; NGS is one of the few modern MMOS that near-fully embraces player customization agency for character creation and customization. But what MARS is, is a continuation of that agency. A hyper-powered, highly modifiable, customizeable battle tank to fit my personal playstyle and fill my player power fantasy? Yes, please!
    Along with the talked-about evolutions, what's happening here is what WoW should have done/should be doing, and what FF does often; yeild to player demand and *respect player's time.* For SEGA, that is probably a pretty painful move, based on the history. But SEGA feels like the players feel; we don't want the game to die. And to do that, SEGA has to give in some. And this is the first in (hopefully) many steps to bring some equilibrium to the player progression pressures, and encourgage fresh blood. I criticize SEGA *a lot* for their flaws, but I will also praise them for their successes. And this is a BIG W!

    I would upgrade to the new units but not right away. I would wait until like November-ish because my gear has high enough fixas. Plus I have 1 Aug transfer pass and need 3 more, I hope they give more passes so I can stack up.

    • @Spikesxu
      @Spikesxu  Před měsícem

      That's definitely fair! As I mentioned, there's definitely no rush! Especially if you have units that are already built & with high fixas on them! Take your time and upgrade when it's well within your means to do so! That's how it's done! 😁

    Currently grinding the lux halphinale and gran arguments for weapons n armor but if they drop the 10 star I basically might just put them on those but the main focus is building them for the wingers katana I have they’re still keeping that weapon series relevant even in the update

    • @Spikesxu
      @Spikesxu  Před měsícem

      Indeed! Units are definitely a core priority and last the longest by far. So if you've yet to put top tier augs on your Eineas, and your Eineas aren't high Fixa, then you may be better off waiting just a couple weeks to put those on the new units, assuming they'll (units) have fairly decent drop rates. We also don't know if they'll be tradeable or non-tradeable like the first Eineas were before the variants.
      Wingards will definitely stay relevant even with the new 11 star series, indeed. The differing potentials, as to what the weapons do, really create for a great mix of play types, especially when being jumbled around in group play!

  • @ACLMSC
    @ACLMSC Před měsícem +1

    I'm also hanging on to my armors as they are maxed out and fixa 5. If the new armors aren't tradable I'm not touching them and I'll wait for tradable versions. It's easier to boost fixas when you can buy additional units from the shop.

    • @Spikesxu
      @Spikesxu  Před měsícem +1

      I actually prefer the non-tradeable ones and all my Einea's are actually the non-tradeable ones. I had All Orgsys 5's across the board long before most people did 😂. However, I completely understand your line of thinking as well, and it's generally the more reasonable one. As, when they're tradeable they can be purchased, assuming you have the meseta. I'm just a weird one that prefers to grind for items. It's the way I tend to enjoy the game/gives a goal to work towards/reasons to play.
      Regardless of how you get your units though, indeed, hang on to them when they're maxed out the way that ours are. No need to rush until the next upgrade is well & prepared to live up to the same level of the units you're currently using! A 0.5 jump is big, but it's not big enough to abandon high fixas for no fixas.

    i wonder if by "enhance for a long time" means upgade from 11star to 12 etc.

    • @Spikesxu
      @Spikesxu  Před měsícem

      I think a better way to view it, is to throw out the knowledge of star system mechanics altogether. We'll definitely see 12 stars, don't get me wrong. But we're getting a brand new item lab feature in October that will combine and/or enhance certain items. We'll see more on this in future headlines. So consider potentially the weapons or units being the base of a craftable weapon or unit of some sort. The game is certainly continuing to evolve!

    • @somfplease
      @somfplease Před měsícem

      @@Spikesxu when they use the term "enhance" makes me think of limit break +enhance. I am sure they will have a different term for it. just trying imagine what "upgrade" would entail since weapons are pretty upgradable in the game and with new/different augments all the time even more so. Ive been trying to think of other games but the ones off the top of my head they all have a upgrade ceiling.
