Get yourself a CB, I know that sounds old fashioned and outdated, you can keep it turned off 90% of the time but turn it on during hazardous driving conditions, it literally can save you from dangerous situations, I’ve been driving since 1989, it has saved me numerous times, otherwise enjoy the nice new ride

@@TruckerChris I put it in myself. It’s pretty much plug and play. They do have a shop at the terminals but I’m not sure if they will install or not. I heard some shops work on ic trucks and some don’t.

@@Roc900 definitely a company with a strong customer base. I heard landstar and Mercer has its downside with the spot market. I’ve heard some doing good over there still so I guess it depends on the person. I’m at Schneider personally now
@@LifeOfKO Do you control your Loads ( Meaning, You have access to the load board and you deal with the brokers? )
@@Roc900 I do run off the load board but I don’t deal with brokers here.
Very nice truck! I give Schneider a lot of props for how they spec their trucks now. That side emergency exit door is great to have. Also love that little reversible fan at the head of the bed. Once I got used to how the EPU system worked, I ended up liking it a lot more than having a traditional APU. Great that they put an Espar bunk heater in as well. They also went with a really high quality 1800 watt inverter that works very well. My only complaint is that I wish they would stop installing those top of dash CB mounts and just stick to what Freightliner does from the factory with the mount in the center overhead slot. Other than that, their trucks are equipped really nicely.

Schneider specs their trucks cheaply.
@@frankiej510 They used to but I completely disagree as far as their fleet from around 2018 to current. Very few fleet trucks are equipped as well by comparison.
Honestly for driver convenience America’s trucks are so analogue compared to European trucks but living space is 10 times better

@@LifeOfKO good for you. SFI plan is one of the hardest ways to buy a truck, you got to have a rock solid determination. Indeed the hardest days of my life.

What is SFI asking for down payment these days? It used to be 2500 to 5k but I heard they went up
When I got mine it was $2500 down. My brother spoke to them about a week ago and they told him $5000 down for a freightliner.

Hey. It’s weekly. It’s a few different insurances you have to have they are almost 200$ a week. Email me and I’ll be able to give you the exact numbers.

It’s just a dash cam. Yes they put it in all trucks it’s not front facing at all.
