I have a 2005 silver C55 too! and I'm in southern Ontario as well. I'd like to retain the factory AMG tips if I did this exhaust mod, which I really want to do after seeing your vid. I have kleeman headers on mine too but no other exhaust mods.
Sorry just seeing this. That's awesome! I wanted to keep my factory tips too but realized it would require I cut them off of the factory mufflers which I didn't want to do, so I went with standard chrome tips.
It's not a cutout, its a valved muffler. Similar to Valvetronic mufflers. Here's a link to the exact ones I have installed: hotrodscottsonline.ca/products/38

No drone at all! When the valves are open there is a little bit at highway speeds but when they are closed it is dead quiet.
