Im not a fanboy but Issei won this of course. Judges are just giving the home country favorite a chance, like they've always done in previous BC One's. Did surprise me to see Taisuke vote for Hill tho, as his votes were spot on all night.
Hill is from Mexico, but has lived in Switzerland for many years, and represent Switzerland, not mexico! peace.
Taisuke knows Issei very well, they dance together. Issei crashed slightly twice or three times, and wasn't as clean and sharp as usual. That could have an impact on taisuke s decision. i am not a fan of Hill, i don't like his style, but his sets were rounded, not crash, he did power, footwork, hit the beat... It could have gone either way in my opinion. it was tight. peace
Taisuke has always voted against Issei on numerous occasions. Everyone knows that Taisuke is jealous of Issei (won RBBC1, younger and more successful than him etc.) and they are rival crews in Japan

Wow! Magnificent performance by both bboys, however, I had Issei winning 2/3 of the rounds. Dr Hill repeated a routine of air tracks and flairs in the first and second round and didn't even push enough in the third, nothing spectacular, just a few scrambles. Issei won the first and third round, for me.
Issei got similar rounds against luka, too much flares and windmills, freezes are very repetitive too
Dr hill has footwork lmao. He has variety, you just sleep on footwork. First round for hill, second is not repeat it is another form of airflaire

Both got a round each, it was down to final round, where Hill had more content and Issei had better execution - especially his freeze at the end. 50/50, would have given it to Issei personally.
The judging this year was actually okay overall.

Issei looked like he wasn't feeling any of the music. His moves look more on point when he's feeling the music but I feel like he's just throwing rounds to get by here. You can see Issei isn't very confident after his rounds either.

hill went all out to beat issei ( same for wing last year) but issei set for me in the quarter final i felt like he isn't focusing on his usual stuff and it's look really mess up not crash but just not as good and flow as usual . i can tell while watching this battle like after both of them done all 3 round i find this shit might be a tie or a super close one.
yea youre right, but I think the main reason, why issei didnt do his usual stuff was he thought he won the battles so he did it as a strategy to safe some moves but its just a guess

sorry but dr hill play with no originality, he just repeat airflare with adding variations and uses basic footwork, and you can't talk about any techniques in his footwork.

Straight up robbery...how the hell did hill win against isse with basic ass power and some footwork? Isse had better power, flow, musicality, and style in general.
If all you saw was "basic ass power and footwork" then you need to quit breaking, like seriously. Issei lost fair and square, end of story.
Hill's power was generic...normal airflare to 1990/200 combos and some clean footwork. Not bad sets by any means, but Isse's power is original, higher energy, cleaner, faster, much higher level, and much more dynamic combos, as well as original clean foot/floorwork and imo more flavorful toprock. To each their own but you can't argue that Hill's power was anywhere near Isse's level. All he did was link some airflares to 90s twice and repeated, while Isse did much more high-level transitions and combos. So again...ROBBERY!
@@dudwtfomg issei may have better power but his footwork, floorwork, freezes and transitions aren't really that special (especially compared to some of the other bboys at this event). Yeah he was more dynamic but you can't solely win a competition by being the most dynamic unless it's a power battle. Only reason hill won was because he was barely more all rounded in terms of skill and was more clean. I would say don't let the hype surrounding issei fool you, but to each their own. If issei wants to win again, he needs to expand his skill set. As for now, he's just a power head in disguise. I really wanted issei to make it to the finals because he would've had a better chance at beating lil zoo but he rightfully lost here.

I think this was a really close match. But most people already know bboy Issei's moves by now so it just doesn't look as fresh tbh. It's just how it is. His first round was really strong but 2nd and 3rd round, the music was not in his favor or he just missed it.
