Hey, you made it this far! Thank you for watching, make sure to come back & say hi before you leave... its not safe to go alone... - Hry
Just now I realized that Tyrael basically told Marius to go to hell
"You screwed up the entire universe? Go to hell lmfao"
Go to hell, smash the stone....maybe get a Gul rune
"He moved with demonic speed" *walk casually*
I moved with demonic speed on a daily basis.
well, but do you also set things on fire when you walk over it?
Yeah but do you have a big ass stone in your forehead?
I might be one of the few, but in the beginning Marius looks more like the guy who would follow a strange companion. Just to find out later about his mistake. At least a little braveness is required to help a begging ghostly figure..
Not to defend or offend someone, but I think here his mental sanity decreased the most, leading to his actions and becoming the thin broken guy.
Tyrael needs to dump some points into Dex, his chance to hit is total shit.
What choice I had. I run.
- Forest Gump
Marius don`t have the same impact apperance-wise, but the rest of the animation looks awesome!
Yeah.. he doesn’t fit the voice as much as the original, but it’s still all pretty amazing
Especially the old version of him.. he should have looked even more frail and older.. sort of due to the stone ruining his body similar to how the lord of the rings ring did to Golum
I miss some of his "jittering"
man they really made tyrael look awsome
Imagine Marius actually soloing Act IV.
Old school Marius looked like he had actually been through some shit, this new Marius looks just slightly bothered by these events.
Yep. It really takes the terror element out of all cinematics he is in.
Not really
Man it's so good, maybe they would make a Diablo movie. Might be awesome.
As a kid, I thought there was a way to find Tyreal’s sword… sadly it wasn’t the case
in D3 you can get it's appearance [Skycutter]
Wasn't Azurewrath a rare ladder only item?
Really like the new Marius. Updated enough to be actually believable. The old one looked like a caricature and cartoonish. Love what they did with the cutscenes. The game is better for it👍
Oh Marius, How come you could cross all of ACT-3 and couldn't enter that gate???
The only part in the cinematics that makes no sense. Did Tyrael really believe that a frail man who had sided with Diablo until then would suddenly agree with going all the way through the demonic infested Kurast, cross a portal to hell, somehow cross through more demonic infested paths and succeed in destroying the stone? Even if he was willing to do that, it makes no sense to believe that he would have been successful.
Then who do you think he should've asked to destroy the soul stone in that situation?
life gives you Marius, you make Marinade
I think maybe because he was the one that pulled out the stone, that he had to be the one to carry it. Just my thoughts.
There was no one else to do it. Tyrael was already disobeying heavenly commandments for the angels by interfering with direct action in the events occurring in Sanctuary. It would be beyond disgrace for Tyrael to take the stone himself. Marius had to take it irrespective of the odds.
I used to think when Tyrael said “not even by you” he meant Diablo. But now I realize he’s referring to the hero who killed Diablo in the first game.
I'm still not sure who exactly he's referring to. Just like I'm just nownconsidering it might be Baal bluffing to get Marius to free him when I always used to think it was Tal Rasha himself begging to be released.
@@waderoberts3701 i always thought it was Baal trying to fool Marius. But it could be Tal Rasha actually wanting out of it. I guess we’ll never know.
Of course it is Diablo he is referring to. Why would the hero undo work he had done to remove evil from sanctuary just to free Tal Rasha?
It is both. It's Baal knowing exactly how to torture Tal Rasha in the moment to induce his begging to Marius, leading him to free the prime evil. Baal was seeking that result from the outset.
It looks both awesome and bland af.
It’s not as stylized as the original I agree
@@possessedchair8144 lack of emotion in facial animations and other animations are slightly off and not fluid. almost robotic, non organic.
So why couldn't Tyrael fly to Diablo and slice him with the sword when he was struggling back to the bridge, at 2:40
It looks like he was about to when he caught Marius pulling the stone out of Tal Rasha.
i think its becouse he cant really kill either of the primes there or it would just set them back to hell
Can somebody help me please to understand the lore:
- Why must the soul stone shart be destroyed in hell? Insnt Baal inside the body of Tal rasha? Isnt the shart empty and useless?
- Imperius sensed Diablo inside Leah when Diablo arrived in the high heavens during Diablo 3. Why did Tyrael not sense Diablo inside the dark wanderer?
When a prime evil dies they are sent to the abyss or void for awhile before resurrecting in hell. The soul stones were created by Tyrael in an attempt to contain them, which didn't work as the prime evils courrpted the stone. Basiclly giving them a respawn point in Sanctuary.
I personally assumed that Tyrael knew the dark wanderer was Diablo hence. "he shall not be set free, Even by YOU" pretty sure he knew that was Diablo
@@DnosSFS Thanks!
After the horadrims defeated Mephisto and Diablo, they hunted Baal. His soul stone of baal damaged during the fight. As consequence, what has required diablo and mephisto hundreds of years (souls stone corruption and area of influence outside it), baal could do it in days, he was baraly contained. So as temporary measure Tal rasha offered as vessel, while the surviving horadrim researched a way of complete containment as it was with the other brothers. They never find a solution but at least baal was sealed in an isolated and inaccessible place, the same with diablo, tristram populated after Leoric arrival. The real weak point of the contaiment was mephisto soulstone under travincal, a capital cily. So once he completely corrupted his prison soulstone he was able to corrupt the entire zakarum believers and send leoric with Lazarus in khanduras and found Tristram, over the chamber where Diablo was sealed. Diablo had finally people to manipulate and possess, means to get free and return.
Don't ask me why diablo could access tal rasha tomb without a horadric staff -.-
@@albe8479 Thank you.
@@albe8479 Yeah these cinematic are full of plot holes. Like how did Marius even make it to Durance level 3, bypassing the jungle, the council and the compelling orb?
Tyrael is.... Too much
Original Marius looked *pathethic* - like he was too insignificant for geater evils to take him out. Opium junkie destioned to witness an ancient horror. All those elements combined made everything more disturbing and gave it distinct character. These cinematics look better, sure, but more generic and forgetable...
like most of entertainment industry today unfortunaly :(
There is no character ... Tyrael don't even point nor taunt the same way towards Diablo... There is no soul in Marius's reactions at all here.
Baal's trickery don't even sell out the plot that Marius was tricked into pulling out the Soulstone, its just a strange soul going in and out of Tal'Rasha body.. There's no illusion behind it.
I am shock to see the murder of a classic game with such character this way.
He points though, actually the same way as in original.
@@michalcerny7806 In the original he actually calls out the challenge to Diablo directly before even beginning the fight, here in the horrendous piece of crap out of sync he does it only in the end.
That in itself cause a major problem in regards of selling the scene, you arn't invested nor do you see Tyrael in a proper stance.
@@michalcerny7806 And better if you need to get it straight from the horse's mouth, watch the Old Vs The Shite side by side and tell me that it is in sync.
imho the entire scene makes no sense.
Marius following a weirdo who fart demons at random, and he even partially transform in front of him.
Marius traversing a rotten vine bridge on flames, over a lava pit, to touch a glowing thing lodged in a hentai talking mummy. But yeah no courage to go to hell and destroy the glowing stone. At least they could have shown clearer sign of possession/hypnotism of the poor meatsuit, at that point he was even clean from opium addiction.
Tyrael also could have flicked marius down in the lava pit with his hentai wings, even while suppressing diablo
Also why the hell Diablo went straight to soulstone chamber, while we have to search for the horadric staff?
well i'm just a lore nitpicker, the cinematics of the games looked good, but never made sense. the written lore ingame always resonated with me more.
@@GruwskiTheDogski that is what I meant, he points in the end, the animation is the same, but just slightly different angle. Im not saying it is good, as it is not.
Old marius was better. The new one is almost expressionless in comparison.
Instant fail... Marius exited left in the original. He's running right here. Game ruined.
:)
Literally unplayable!
