We need to start Perisic in our next match. Not saying that Sess is bad, but Perisic just has the quality we need to push foward. Plus if we have him on corner duty, it means that we can get Son in or around the box which is even better.
Yes perisic is a good corner taker but he is really good at heading the ball and sons crosses aren't too bad either. I think perisic is better at heading then son
As a croat and Spurs fan I'm proud because of Perisic. Sometimes he want push too much, Conte is a must trainer for him, to cool down, to slow it up a little in some occasions. Anyhow, Son giving 100% in 60-70 minutes, then Perisic 100% last 20-30 min is a dream for all attacking squads. Also he was injured and not quite fit for all game.
@@martinavrdoljak6030 I think Son, Hoidberg and one of our CBs messed up in the 2nd goal they allowed. They all shifted up too much. Usually there is another forward/midfield player (or both) covering the middle/bottom just in case.

Hate to admit it, but Chelsea played much better. Their midfielders are just better, and completely controlled the tempo throughout the game. Son and Kane will do their thing, but if the mid can't hold their own, then it's just difficult for their aces to score. We are VERY lucky to draw on this one. That said, the season has just begun, and I'm very hopeful for the future.

Chelsea smacked us about the whole game but we hung in there. Great job by everyone and the new signings made a difference. Sess is good but Perisic should start more.
we were definitely Rocky in Rocky 1 on this one. Training montages and all. We didn't win, but we put up enough of a fight to get the respect we deserve. Agreed on Perisic. Love sess, but i want to see the newer guys get put to the test.

@@chrism7574 team can't control the ref exactly, pre mourinho/poch this would have ended spurs give up and 3-0 instead spurs kept trying and yeah we got lucky decisions and took advantage of them - Chelsea played better but didn't win/leverage it end of story. CoYS
I honestly think that today the performance wasn’t good enough there was a lot of defensive errors like the koulibaly goal and we need a permanent fix to those defensive problems
There needs to be much more training on defending corners and free kicks for certain. They came close on every corner.

I think the best fix is to replace Dier and Davies. They have improved massively since Conte arrived but they aren't at the level we need to convincingly challenge for titles

What a game ! But it was very difficult for us to take the ball when the ball is in the hands of a Chelsea player, on the other side it was very easy for us to lose the ball when pressed by opposing players. Have a lot to learn from this game

I'll say this, Romero was lucky to stay on the pitch. I'm a lifelong Spurs fan BTW, but I'll always be impartial. That being said, we were so much better in the second half, and the subs for me made the difference.

I see that our signings are putting in a shift to our team. When Kane, Son, or Sessegnon are gone missing, we have the bench who can contribute significantly to the game. That is what you saw today.

Perisic should be in the starting11 , Chelsea were high alert into Kane & Son movement so adding perisic could find some chance for both Kane and Son but somehow we manage to defend from losing point 👍

Don't get me wrong, I like all our players but we need to replace Dier, Davies and Emerson in our starting XI, I believe that we are genuinely title contenders with them out of the squad. As for now, I'm hoping that Lenglet will get more game time instead of Davies, and Doherty (and Spence if he can prove himself), instead of Emerson. One thing's for sure though, we need another CB.
