- Hey! This homemade gel eyeliner is really pigmented, cheap and simple to make! It is also surprisingly long-lasting! The main ingredient activated charcoal has been used for many years for medicinal treatments, particularly in removing toxins and it has been deemed safe to use all over the body, so used with aloe vera and vitamin e oil this eyeliner recipe should be a lot safer than a lot of bought versions, as well as being free of suspicious chemicals and free of animal testing!
So i hope you enjoy this DIY eyeliner tutorial, and try it out!

I'm super into holistic cruelty free living and just started making my own bath and beauty products. HOW HAVE I NEVER FOUND YOUR CHANNEL BEFORE???? girl pls never stop this because it's all amazing. your amount of knowledge, your cool and calm deminener, everything about your channel is perfect :)
Quick tip to everyone if you cant fibd or use activated charcoal then get some raw almonds and roast them until they burn then just crush and voila
thank you!
South Asians (Aryveda), and Cleopatra have been doing that since ancient times.
It's polite to tell everyone where you got your idea from.
@@misbahailia3345 that comment was made 6 years ago. this gen is so soft it’s eyeliner no one cares
Lmao u can also do it with tortillas basically burn them and crush lmao
I hope you enjoy this recipe!
You're so beautiful! Love your DIYs! TOTALLY making this when my maybelline one runs out! Lol xo
great diy! so helpful!
You are gorgeous
Would black eyeshadow work instead of the chalk
Can you make your intro more shorter?
U should do a makeup look on all the DIY makeup thinks u have made!!❤️
Oh yessss and hi it's been 4 years
@@seemasingh8305hi it’s been 5 years 😢
Thank you soo soo much for this. I'm starting to get into makeup (I literally only own a nearly empty jar of lip gloss, which was the only cruelty-free cosmetic I could find). Since I live in Kenya, it can be really hard to find drugstore products that are cruelty free, but I'm so happy that I found this video and now your other videos on cosmetics. You're a true gem! x
thankyou so much I've been watching and trying to find someone who does a gel liner diy and also a swatch on the eye you have brains thankyou , you've earned a subscriber
Wow I love this! The chemicals in eyeliners really irritate my eyes. I can't wait to try this!
Hi Ela, another fun video! I love your tips and tricks and making my own experiments with them. So I tried this and different recipes with it, I found your version was the most black for eyeliner. The issue was that it was a bit "grainy" even with more liquid and when it was not long lasting on my eyes, it basically dissapeared after a couple hours. I thought I would share! Best!
Thank you. I like that you used pure & sensible ingredients for your recipe rather than other videos where people just throw together a bunch of pre-existing cosmetics & pretend like they've invented something new. Also like that you did your research as there are too many people on YT giving bad & dangerous advice.
does it dry matte or does it stay liquidy?
Omg, I love LOVE your channel more with every single video :) you are doing such an incredible job, and for that thanking you!
Omg u literally can make anything on ur own!!!!! So amazing!!
Please please please make a video on your skin and makeup routine!! You always look so flawless
Thank you so much. I was trying to find a more natural make up for my sensitive eyes and make sure it was allergen free with not much luck when your video showed me i can simply make my own and no longer have to worry about what's in it. Awesome video

Hi Ela, I just made this and it works; it is something that last the whole day. In order to make this I bought the Vitamin E oil, so I was hoping you could tell me what are some ways I could use this vitamin in a DIY project.

Hey ***** am a big fan of yours. I have been watching your natural essential kit I was wandering please can you do a healthy nail serum video since the top layer of nail peels off when my nails aren't healthy so then I tender to bit my nails and they get sharp.

Hi Ela can i substitute aloe gel for something else?
Thank you for your videos
So good!
The Egyptians used charcoal for there liner too.
Anna Elise Metts mostly lead
Where can I find it
They used kohl it’s similar but not quite charcoal I believe
Hey Ela! What can I use instead of Vitamin E oil? this vid was so helpful and ur AMAZING! :)
Brilliant diy! I have really sensitive eyes. Would this irritate them?x
I love this!!
soooo pretty!
Question, how do you do your winged eyeliner so perfect 🙊😍
I'll try this! Thanks!
can I use fresh aloevera gel, but it wont be as soft as a bottle one.
I really like your DIY video. I just wondering is the eyeliner long wear & water proof?
I really like ur tips ♡
Hi! I've tried this recepie about two weeks ago and now I've found that the eyeliner gel has started to rot, or at least there is a mould now :( what have I done wrong? I have maybe added too little of the vitamin e because i havent had enough at time... Or are any specific way how to treat the gel during daily use? Thanks!
I love your videos!!
Hi I love your videos. Do you have videos for eye-shadow and blush?
Hey Ela, Really love watching your videos and I do try most of your DIY.
I tried making the gel eyeliner but sorry to say it just dint work. The consistency just wasn't right. I followed the exact same recipe. Can you suggest how to make it better or give another recipe?
same! i was very disappointed
I love the gel I liner now. Thanks a lot.
Can we also apply this on the lower water line?
what should i use as an alternative of aloe vera gel !?
do you use all your diy makeup products for your daily makeup or do you have store-bought products too?
love this idea
if i want a white colore, can i use an eyshadow instead of the charkal?
black eyeshadow works really well too
I'd definitely try this, just wanted to know if it's waterproof & does it get dried out?
I have only loose charcoal..how many tsps would 3 capsules equal out too?
I love the recipe. Cost effective and mostly good ingredients. The Aloe Vera gell you linked has 3. Tetrasodium EDTA is a preservative that’s made from the known carcinogen, formaldehyde and sodium cyanide. (see how) It is also a penetration enhancer, meaning it breaks down the skin's protective barrier, going right into your bloodstream. Many companies trying to be "natural" will use Tetrasodium EDTA instead of parabens to preserve their products. In my opinion, Tetrasodium EDTA is just as bad. So I'll have to find a replacement for that ingredient. Thanks for making the video!
Caitlynn Caldwell Also, I suggest using plastic bowls and disposable gloves for an easy clean up. Charcoal gets EVERYWHERE, so beware.
+Caitlynn Caldwell Exactly! When I first saw this video, I searched up the aloe vera gel on Amazon and I saw that ingredient. I'm looking for alternatives, and yes, I've heard the charcoal can be a mess ^_^
I'd suggest getting organic aloe Vera
Wondering how long the staying power is and does it smudge or transfer?
amazing! such a great diy!
Great idea!!
Hi, thank you so much for this. I tired it, and it was good. However it doesn't last long. Should we mix in some bees wax in melted form or something.
Can I use the activated charcoal as eyeshadow ?
Omg this is amazing! please can you tell me what I can use to make this brown instead of black?
This is what I was looking for! :)
Fantastic!!! thank you!!😊
Is fresh alo gel better or the ones from pharmacy?
Is there about 1/4 tsp in a capsule of AC (activated charcoal)? Is there like 1/2 tsp in AC?
Awesome how long does this last thanks alot 👍 😊
is there any material can be used than the black ones on the last step
where do you get that charcoa thingy? and isn't there anything else you can use instead of that charcoal thing?? like I dont know smooshed old eyeshadow that you dont use?
Can I use charcoal for baking?Thx~😘
I have 5 grams jar how much would I use because I really don't want to mess up. i would like ur help :)
Does this product smudge easily?
Is it dry on the eye faster or still wet?
Can I use wax to make it harder? Btw looove this vid!
What do you think about using burnt almonds?
Love this! I really don't like store bought gel liner because I can never remove it completely
Do you have to put in the vitamin E oil?
