I'd say keep both HT and ATF, and replace Van Halen, Megadeth, or (possibly blasphemously) Pantera - I feel, for as amazing as Pantera and Vulgar both are, a LOT of people aren't going to vibe with the heaviness (although that groove, "the MONEY riff...", does incredible things) and the vocal style Anselmo employs. Nah, get rid of Van Halen for HT - Pantera are just too good.
Once by Nightwish was also a bizarre choice - if I'm picking a Finnish band, I'm picking HIM. If I'm picking a Nightwish album for this purpose, I'm picking Dark Passion Play as I think 'normies' would vibe better on Anette Olzen's vocal style than Tarja Turunen's operatic style
I'd also say Prequelle over Meliora for a Ghost album... And I do like people being 'scared' by Slipknot though, particularly vocally - that's a ridiculous concept to me... I just have to mention slam bands to people I work with for a reaction lol (like Mutilation Barbeque).
Deafheaven's black metal vocals aren't going to appeal to non-metal peeps. At all.
There. That's my (long-winded) say. lol

Seemed to work pretty well. (then they threw in Alternative like The Fixx and AFlock of Seagulls because they had no other place to go at the time. Was on pretty awesome actually imo)

I usually convince non-metal-heads that metal is not only heavy noise (like machines), screaming and grunting by let them listen to bands like Nighwish, Xandria, Ancient Bards etc. and then - when they have survived this shock - to Power, Progressive and sometimes even Thrash Metal. That often works very well. 😊

What? No Testament or Anthrax? No Baroness? Where's my Queensryche? No Soungarden or Disturbed? Shinedown? Seether? Evanescence? Warlock, Fifth Angel or Sword (for those late 80's rockers)? Dragonforce? Blind Guardian? Seriously, the Mojo list is fine but there are certain albums I would change. While System of a Down had incredible albums, Toxicity should have beaten out Mesmerize. Play Chop Suey for people and they will know that song.
