I've been into fragrances for about 40 years now. Started in my clubbing days. Now, my two daughters are starting their own fragrance journey. I have given them many suggestions for perfumes. I have SEEN many reviewers. Out of all that I've seen, I ALWAYS and highly recommend CeeCronicles. She is DEFINITELY THEE best out there. Cece my name is Maria. I know you have many followers but wanted to introduce myself. I'm Hispanic. I just recently started watching perfume reviews from youtubers. I've subscribed and been watching your videos. There are many perfume reviewers but I have subscribed only to 5 or 6 yours included. Now this girls video you are referring to came on my feed. Was the first one from her and as I was listening I was thinking how unfair and broadly she was talking about. See I have subscribed to some Hispanic channels just bc is my way to help those that have it and are trying to make a living. So if you make money or not, or get paid to promote etc its nobody's bussiness. Isn't that what every retail company does? Car salesman, insurance brokers, investors, real state brokers. The offer and promote. We are supposed to do our own search and use our common sense when we use our money to buy anything including perfumes. I'm very into arabian perfumery now and appreciate very much your videos. Keep doing what you do well! ❤

I watched Claire’s video a while back and I think it was more directed at *some* “OMG YOU NEED TO BUY THIS NOW!!!” influencers with purposefully quiet arrangements with brands.
I do appreciate your clarifications about your channel and your insights on the inner workings of CZcams, though to be honest, grouping your channel in with the type of influencer Claire was referencing, would never have occurred to me.

Hi Cee ❤ I believe Claire had good points and I think she wanted to warn folks not really say that everyone is doing that. Or at least that’s how I read her video. I also buy all of my fragrances so I know it’s very expensive as a hobby to be a perfume collector and also to buy perfumes to review on the channel to have content folks are really interested in at the moment. Integrity is important and I just stop following influencers when I realize they are not being honest, it’s after all pretty easy to spot for somebody in this hobby since a while. Best of luck to your channel and Lattafa collab.

I trust you completely. We are all grown. At the end of the day, I spend my hard earned dollars on what I want to spend it on. There is this whole 'DE-influencer' trend going on and I don't like it. I think it's very mean spirited.

consumption going on with some influencers? Sure. Maybe be more specific about who you watch. I don't watch any and every influencer out there. Throwing shade and 'de-influencing' is a bunch of malarkey, because they are watching YOU talk about don't trust influencers. But aren't you an influencer? Aren't you making money from people watching you? Knock it off and let people live.

Well said. I really don’t understand why people even feel a need to talk about other influencers or anyone else for that matter… especially if there’s nothing positive to say. People tend to underestimate the impact of what they say and how it affects others. I wish we would all just show a little more love for each other.

At the end of the day, influencers and content creators are creating content for us, and if we consume and enjoy the content, it is only right and reasonable for them to be compensated for their efforts.
It is ultimately up to us to view advertising/marketing (after all, that is ultimately what creators are providing for brands!) with a critical eye.
I do appreciate Claire’s video, because it brings the sort of behind-the-scenes of CZcams and sponsorships to the forefront for the consumer, and helps us understand the psychology, financials and motivations of the brands, the creators, and the consumers.
But I do feel that Cee is not the target creator of Claire’s video, as she has always been quite open and honest in her reviews and her disclosures about sponsorships.
You are absolutely right.I go to fragrantrica all the time for getting an idea of what the perfume is about. And it is the same thing that I do looking at your channel and all the other ones that I look at. I like all your blogs. You are very accurate in the perfume description, and I love to look at the second channel with all your trips. Any one that complain about your channels is because that person is jealous.

I don’t trust any influencers at all but you are the only one I think is truly honest and hard working. Fragrance is very personal and every body is different so if I bought something from your recommendation and I didn’t like, I know it’s not you it’s just that fragrance is very emotionally attached. I share with others if it didn’t work for me . I still continue to watch you and watch the ads ( I don’t do that for any other influencers) . Hello Cee, I am a US subscriber. I watch your videos on all of your channels. I particularly enjoy your lifestyle channel. I get a view of what life in South Africa and Zim is like. I am a 72 year old grandmother that loves fragrances and all things girly. I buy a ton of perfumes and body care products. Most of which is blind buys. I started my Middle Eastern perfume collection buying watching your channel. I did not know you and just happened to come across you on CZcams. You came across as trustworthy and genuine. The one thing I would like for you to do is stop justifying yourself. You should be paid by all of brands you review on your channel. Buying perfumes is not cheap and making videos is also quite expensive. You do a fantastic job of breaking down products. You tell like it is and keep it 100. I am a business major with a Master Degree in Business. I know marking and what you contributes to the success of companies such as Lattafa, Paris Corner and Fragrance World and many others. The bottom line is they would be paying advertising firms a lot more with far less profitable results. So, get what you are worth. Much Love.

I have been watching Claire for some time now. I discovered her at the end of 2022 (around the same time I discovered you), so I have seen her recent video and I do agree on a lot of her points she has made (not all though).
However, when watching her video, I never thought of you as one of the influencers she was talking about. You have always been very honest and transparant. I watched the video that you mentioned. I took her video in the way to not fall for a “cult of personality” type of reviewer who’s easily impressed “obsessed” and is overly pushy.

I keep seeing her video popping up in my feed but i haven't been interested in watching it. 🤷♀️ I think most people who are interested in perfumes just enjoy watching perfume reviews, and seeing what people are saying about them. They either don't know or get notes wrong. Yes it's the responsibility of the buyer to research notes if they happen to be sensitive or allergic, BUT if they are wrong on fragrance reference sites that's dangerous. I was so impressed about your story and the difficulties in your country and I admire you even more for that. I know Claire's Channel for a long time and I can assure you she was not speaking about onest youtubers like you. I watch Claire’s channel a lot. We more or less started around the same time and l respect her work..it’s the lack of objectivity in her video that triggered me. She generalized everyone. Some of her points were off. For me this is a passion that turned to work and to have claims and assumptions like “ influencers who are growing and pushing certain brands are pseudo salespeople who are on some commission, making profits back door and buying numbers and views” was an insult.

I am from a small country in Europe called Moldova. For me, Cee is the most honest and conscientious perfume reviewer on CZcams❤️. Based on her recommendations, over the past year, I have bought more than 50 different perfumes, most of them from Lattafa, and I am very satisfied with them. I have always appreciated all of your very apparent hard work(s). As for everyone worrying about getting a small return to offset a HUGE INVESTMENT, getting free fragrance, etc. What's the problem? I see nothing wrong, nothing corrupt, in any of that. Frankly, I, for one, am happy for you and any reviewer that gets brands and viewers recognition 😊 we ALL to some degree benefit from it. ❤ That Zansibar, I'm looking forward to a full review and 1886 also. Congratulations on your gifts from Lataffa! They're smart to capitalize on social media reviews, they've been generous recently with smaller channels - I don't know about other continents because I mainly watch channels from various African countries. The duty was killer, that's the cost of a haul with free shipping if you ordered it from a local shop. I trust that your reviews are honest, but haven't figured out if I have a similar nose yet. I used to be good at figuring out a few categories of fragrances that different people liked, even if the fragrances in them had unrelated scent profiles - like, if someone loved Dior Poison they also favored X, Y, and Z. I have been out of the fragrance game for 30 years, I don't know if it's a skill I'll ever regain even though UAE is making it affordable,. IfI keep buying at the pace I have been, maybe. I'm happy to be part of the revolution. I don't remember receiving a booklet from Armaf or Al Haramain, but have several from Lataffa, Swiss Arabian, and Rasasi. Sometimes Fragrantica is way off.

It is not appealing to me to even see that thumbnail, nothing I want to hear. I know I’m thankful influencers give info on new releases, discontinued, flankers, dupes..
