The red team will more likely make contact rather than meet up. The portal can't lock onto the ring due to explosion damage and the drifting ring.
Behold a pale horse is one of the most beautiful OST's for any game ever. It's ending alone is insane, the feeling of mystery and ancientness. It's perfect.

Honestly 3 years ago I’d have hated the idea of separating campaign from multiplayer, but now I think they should just release a single player Halo on its own, and have a separate multiplayer experience that’s not weighed down by the campaigns mechanics. Give us an amazing Doom Eternal level of quality campaign and I think most people would be happy.
Halo desperately needs its campaign and MP separating now, it’s grown past the two needing to be in the same game
I recall halo 3 ppl being a little salty when they tried to separate with the mythic map pack and even halo 4 just with the disc installs or something but I agree now it’s worthwhile for the revitalization of the game… and that quality would be so amazing for a new installation (pun intended) of a halo open world!!!

Love the possibilities you've mentioned, but I can't help but have a feeling that 343 is gonna pull another 343 with Halo 7. I'll take everything they say or announce in the trailers with a grain of salt. Only when I see mostly good things at launch will I give it a chance
100% and that's smart. We've been let down by 343 and Microsoft with Halo REPETEDLY over the past decade. Why be excited, it makes no sense.

@@jakespacepiratee3740 Have you read Primordium? The setting is right on Zeta Halo during the Forerunner-Flood-War where the Primordial infected Mendicant Bias with the Logic plague. Literally nothing of the uniqueness of Zeta Halo highlighted in this book got translated into the Game. This is what OP meant.

nah, just make a good game. Their issue isn’t traditional levels. We had 3 games that did that and still fail. 343 issue is making a good game open world or not.

Yeah, I like the open world, because I can do stuff besides the main missions, but then I procrastinate and get all the side stuff before the excavation site

My hope is that the game continues straight from Infinite. I remember people saying that Infinite felt like the first game in a new "true" trilogy and I want it to be true.
Knowing 343, they'll just drop the Endless entirely for another new threat. Didact? Dropped. Evil Cortana? Dropped. Endless will likely wind up the same. They'll invent a new threat. Call them the Eternal or the Forever or whatever. And then they'll drop them as well for Halo 8.

Perhaps, I’m thinking that the game could take place a year after the events of Halo Infinite and perhaps, it can depict the Banished invading Earth.

I love how you guys try to act like Halo has always had the maturity of Fallout or Doom or Wolfenstein or something. Halo has never been that mature in terms of Graphic Content. The only reason the first 3 were M rated was because of the Flood Human Dismemberment (If only the alien flood could be dismembered it would have been T im not joking, alien blood also doesn’t count for ratings either)Swearing has never been that common either. Halo 4 was only M for the Composing Scene.
I like to think these people longingly look back at the old Halos like they were Postal 2 or something.

It'd be an absolute dream to be able to dismember a grunt or rip out the worms of a hunter. I'd love to be able to kill humans halo seems to have something against killing humans seeing as how we never had any opportunities to kill them as the covenant. The t rating prevents all of that wonderful stuff.

My only hope for 'Halo 7' is they've learned there lessons and will put the story in the hands of someone who cares about it. I feel like the last time we saw any hints of passion for halo as a story was weirdly Halo Wars 2 and it wasn't enough. Admittedly, their marketing team did amazing at advertising Infinite for what we actually got
The reason halo wars 2 had passion was because 343 didn’t make it.
I get goose bumps thinking about a cutscene where arbiter is in his Halo 5 armor and he goes to some chamber, opens a door, and fog comes out and it reveals his halo 2/3 armor
As cool as I think that would be I doubt it would happen as I don’t think arbiter would wanna wear that armor anymore as it would probably remind him about what the arbiter use to mean during the covenant days
He would probably have to lose his current armor somehow for this to work

It doesnt matter what the story is, 343 is going to fumble the game entirely, scrap the last villian entirely or kill them in a random "rule of cool" cutscene, and then scrape together a whole new story to leave it on a cliffhanger with 5 years till the next expansion of the halo campaign. They've done it 3 times already.

You're just being a weak 343 hater. In case you didn't know, Infinite was destroyed by the neglect of Microsoft developer teams' contracts. If Microsoft hadn't wanted to "cut costs" on benefits for long-time employees, it wouldn't have ruined the game's development. But he did what he did and that it hindered Halo Infinite too much. Halo 7 is their chance to truly realize the franchise's greatest potential. Microsoft must make a team of devs who work from start to finish. Do you know how bad it is to be hired for a short time to learn about the engine that was made by a previous team until you finally actually develop something just for this process to repeat itself? 343 is only 20%. Microsoft is 80% for Infinite's failure

@budfug8691 I'm just hoping Atriox actually appears in-game instead of just in cutscenes and that he doesn't die during the story. The didact, warden eternal, and evil cortana weren't really explored enough for me to care either way and were more of a nuisance more than anything.

Their track record is clearly defined. They usually create something that is half-baked to some degree.
I can understand halo fans wanting new stuff to be happy about, which is fine. But I wouldn’t expect 343 to suddenly create a fully fleshed out game that has depth to it
ONI's still around. In the scrapped cutscenes for Season 4: Infection, after the Spartans take down Iratus, an ONI officer tells them via loudspeakers to stand down, and that the Academy is now under ONI supervision.

They were on the right track with Infinite, but I need them to drop the open world thing for the next game. We need well constructed levels again. If they want to try open world, save those experiments into different genres for the spin off titles that we should be getting. Hope to see more cool boss battles like we got in Infinite though.
This all sounds amazing, which is why I think we won't get much of this in the game 😢

I low-key wish you were in charge of some of the story direction at 343, you are so in tune with what the community enjoys about halo lore and some of your theories would be great starting points for great halo stories.
343 has fubar'ed the lore, really. The Primordial / gravemind's plans to 'test' humanity later with a massive outbreak that we can only earn the mantle by defeating is pretty contradictory to "ackshully it was meant for the Endless all along".

An Arbiter souls like game 🤯👀
My wishlist for the perfect Halo game in the order I think of them:
1. Make the open world "open areas" instead (something like what The Witcher 3 did) with different biomes
2. Bring back the Arbiter as a main character
3. Bring back Lord Hood and Lasky
4. The Flood returns
5. Atriox VS Chief and Arbiter (after what he did to Chief, I doubt either one could take him on alone)
6. Scarab battles!
7. Finally introduce Mendicant and Offensive Bias and elaborate on the Forerunner-Flood war in the games
8. The Forerunners return and seeing them operate Forerunner tech and ships in real time.
9. Big naval battles with Forerunner ships VS Flood-infected Forerunner ships or Endless ships (assuming they have any)
10. Acknowledge the Precursors and explain what they are in the games
That's about all I can think of off the top of my head but if all of this is in the next Halo game and done well, I'll forgive 343i for everything
Story-wise, I agree with pretty much all of those. But seeing as you said perfect game, not story, I'd say things like being a whole game at launch is more important.
@@ALLMINDmercenarysupportsystem That's fair but to me, the multiplayer is always second priority. Halo's story is what I play these games for. Don't get me wrong, if a multiplayer Halo experience is good, it will make me stick around, like Halo 3 and Reach for example. I have thousands of hours in those 2 games combined that was spent mostly in multiplayer but if the story sucks, I think the game sucks because to me, Halo is about the story
@theunderdog9353 I agree, but Halo's multiplayer is a massive part of its appeal and its past popularity, along with having the majority of the content. I could not say a Halo game was good if it had the best campaign ever but a horrendous multiplayer, even though I primarily play the campaign.

It is rooted in the franchise's DNA, as far as the literal name. That's why, even though I enjoy MP, I wouldn't give a rat's ass if it was horrendous if it meant having a campaign that's even better than Halo 2's. Again though, just my opinion 🤷🏻♂️
No more Flood and FFS can we get a game taking place during the Human-Covenant War before 2552? And no, not Harvest (there's already an entire novel on that).

I can see us also going to the Endless’ homeworld. The Endless could teleport Zeta Halo to their home for some major reason. Spend the first 2 acts on Zeta Halo, and the 3rd act is set on the Endless’ homeworld.

I’ll always be excited for halo, but I can’t help but think of what’s already been done to damage it. How many chances will 343i get to make a halo in the same tier of what Bungie made? Just look at the latest Star Wars trilogy. So many theories and hype from hints within the past, only to be ignored and tainted for the sake of creating something new.
I think halo needs to just push forward with a clear cut, deep and deliberate story like halo 2, and just have all the lore built in the game cinematics and varied mission locations. 343 has to continue the story that came before instead of messing up creating something new for themselves. I’m just amazed how many chances Microsoft gave them.
Sorry for the long comment, but I really do hope for the best and will always be passionate and defend halo after all these years. Thanks for creating such great content too X.
Also, do you think that once 343 settle this story of the fight for the mantle and ‘true’ control of the galaxy, would it not be a cool idea and somewhat easy to either reintroduce the flood due to a breakout from fighting again, or have the peak of humanities forces and its alliances with the elites and maybe brutes fight against a massive invading flood threat from another galaxy controlled by another gravemind since it’s been so long to plan and wait for things to reach this point as it’s been in the past (fall of the forerunners and firing of the rings). Thanks again X, as well as to anyone who replies in advance.
I don't think they're going to be willing or able to recapture the "Bungie magic" - the best I'd hope for is a side-story a la Reach/ODST and set during the Human/Covenant war. Otherwise, I think they've written and retconned themselves into such a corner that I just can't see them recapturing the stakes of the OG Halo trilogy.
I really wanted the flood to make an appearance in Halo Infinite. The whole "Endless" thing that they went with has totally failed to capture my interest, unfortunately.
All this is cool and all, but it’s coming up to 20 years since Halo 3 released. It’s about time we got a remaster of what many regard as the best Halo game.
343 will just fuck with the art style like they did with the other 2, and honestly I’d say halo 3 holds up today

17:39 It just dawned on me that they could make a whole game about having to board a derelict or rediscovered Infinity. Could be similar to ODST where you have to discover what happened as you go. There are multiple decks. Heck, there might even be different environments.
Would need a fleshed out stealth system instead of being an infinite reskin like odst was to Halo 3.
I hope Arbiter shows up in Halo 7.

We got to see Master Chief in the cloth covered armor from the Halo 5 teaser. Combined with the mark 7 armor, oh my its just too good
I wish I could still have so much hope and excitement for future Halo like Xperia does. I think he knows most of us have lost hope, but it is still a little thrilling to watch all of these theory videos. Who knows, maybe if the next installment is extremely lackluster, or we don't get a new one at all, perhaps we can consider these theories to be canon in our own world just to satisfy our fantasies :3
If the endless are actually "worse than the flood" then im dropping the series for good tbh.
I've spent like 15 minutes trying to put into words how much that would piss me off and how fucking stupid it would be, but i genuinely can't describe it. I've read over 30 novels and played every game but that would actually stop me from caring about halo anymore. It's so fucking stupid, even for 343.
I understand this frustration, but I would say it is a matter of strategy. A Gravemind is the greatest danger anyone can see face to face, but we saw in the trilogy that By facing only the forms of combat, we managed to get through everything we went through. Harbinger was an enemy that Chief had difficulty dealing with, unlike a group of Flood's combat forms. And with Harbinger having access and ability to modify Forerruner technology, I still wouldn't say it's worse. The expression "worst" is very misused to describe the Endless. But with them being able to tamper with Forerruner technology without difficulty, I think they are more dangerous. We saw that even the Flood feared Truth. Imagine what beings can use technologies that would make Infinity weak

@@Bocchi-chithat’s still lazy writing, To just invent a new bad guy that’s bigger and badder than the last bad guy. So much of the halo franchise’s story and lore hinges on the fact that the flood were the be all end all big bad of the universe.
Exactly. 343 could write a new faction capable of making you explode by just staring at you. That would be unbeatable and far worse than facing anything else simply because you would have no chance whatsoever.
In other words, it's technically possible to constantly create a new, bigger, badder villain. But still, that wouldn't make it right. We don't need it. We need good storytelling.
At this point, Halo faces the same horrible fate as the MCU. After Thanos, what we needed was only street level dangers. Emotionally charged dilemmas. A slow build up towards a clear, dangerous, oppositional force, even if not trying to be worse than... killing half the universe.
What we got instead was multiverse nonsense. Because they felt they needed to go bigger or go home.
Same with Infinite.
Both cases, a total failure.
We only needed the banished as what remains of the covenant, post - covenant religion. A grounded story.
The endless are... the worst thing that could have happened to the plot going forwards. Yes, worse than Cortana's feet I MEAN fate.

I’ve never understood the fixation on the mantle it’s like not a physical or tangible thing right is just taking the idea or responsibility to protect the galaxy right so who cares who claims it even if they have it if you don’t have full control over the galaxy which no one in halo is at that point
I’ve been thinking the same thing. Every lore person talks about characters wanting the Mantle but I still don’t understand what that actually means. It seems like they’re all just chasing after a meaningless title. I hope I’m wrong cuz that’s really dumb character motivation

It really is just that. The Precursors intended that it go to humanity in the first place, so the Forerunners killed them to take their place as the dominant species of the galaxy. It's basically the concept of noblisse oblige on a galactic scale.
@@Calvin_Coolage the mantel is just to vague on certain details how does one even claim it, why is it species wide, and how does having the title bring about any power the precursor’s had it and the forerunners still ran them through.

In that book, the mantle is explained as kind of a test or something, it's just that the Forerunners thought it was a title to claim. Idk, I'd need to read/listen to it. Much as I'm checked out of Halo lore since Infinite, it's about the Didact and I find him very interesting.
I actually disagree about the idea that Humanity wasn't meant to have the mantle.
It's not just Forerunner sources that claim this. The Gravemind also says this which, fair enough, isn't the most honest source by any stretch of the imagination. Now, maybe I'm remembering wrong but I'm fairly certain there was lines in the recent boon about the Didact where the Domain itself has information that confirms this to be true. Even implying the Forerunners were given the mantle beforehand only to later be decidedly unworthy, which is why the Humans were chosen next.
I do love the speculation, though. Whatever the Forerunners "Truth" was will no doubt be an Earth shattering revelation.
Theory: Locke didn't die to Hyperius and he was able to escape. Hyperius just took his helmet as a trophy and Locke is with the arbiter and we will see Locke when we eventually run into and team up with the swords of sanghelious
Halo game centered around large-scale space combat when?
Ive always said they should do a halo 7 and halo wars 3 in one game.
You can play the FPS campaign first and then unlock the RTS.
For a third playthrough you are allowed to play in chronological order and swap between RTS and FPS levels and have added cutscenes.
(Plus obviously a super special legendary one)
Or you could combine them and have the gameplay be a hybrid of RTS and FPS, maybe swapping between the two in whatever mission it is?
@@andyfriederichsenI'd love to see it, but I'll be honest I don't think 343 has the talent to make it work. Microsoft purged a massive amount of their staff . Dream world though I'd love to see a mode and/or campaign missions where one player plays fps and a co op player plays the rts version. The rts player clears the way and brings in reinforcements for the fps player who fights with the forces brought in and a competent ai squad of Spartans to support.

Halo Infinte did Cortana so unbelievably dirty. I don’t care how stupid it sounds, I want them to bring her back. She deserves a proper redemption, especially after Epitaph confirmed the whole reason she was evil was because of the Gravemind.
She still has a roll to play and could be a very useful ally. However I think it’s time they made a major change to her character if there’s any reasonable excuse to bring her back. And that’s the human Cortana concept. On the surface it sounds like a shity fanfic idea but if they play it right it could absolutely work. From there I want to see her focus on atonement much like Mendicant Bies, which is an interaction I’d love to see, and working towards bringing some level of peace to the universe without turning into a dictator again
Halo 5 ruined Cortana, infinite just delivered the killing blow
But it had the opportunity to make things right and it didn’t. That’s not on halo 5. We never even got the chance to see were the halo 5 writers were going with that story. And Halo Infinite doesn’t fix the problem, it just sweeps it under the rug in the laziest fashion. And yet the spend the whole campaign trying to convince you it was the right move. Don’t care, if 343 wants me invested in a new story they better make right what they made wrong.
The whole purpose of the weapon just a cheap way to fix Halo 5, the personality trait only exists in Infinite because they wanted to differentiate the character from the original, it's pretty clear with the ending, "pick your name" and then not revealing. You can be 110% sure that she chose to be called Cortana and in the next game she will just be regular Cortana from the old games.
What the hell was she thinking by naming herself after her time’s equivalent of Hitler?? It’s bad enough that she looks like Cortana but now? She’s fucking toast if she calls herself that in front of the unsc.
The Weapon doesn’t deserve to be a Cortana replacement. She deserves to be her own character with her own name. The Weapon’s future shouldn’t be defined by Cortana’s past.
As for Cortana, she deserves a proper redemption. That shallow ass bulshit they pulled in Infinite didn’t fix shit. It just rubbed salt on the wound left by halo 5 and made her resurrection worthless. All it did was destroy her legacy.

I definitely still think they should hire a separate studio to work on a spin off like halo reach where you have your customized spartan and a story that will hit as hard or harder than reach ( kinda like a hopeless story of a stranded spartan or smth)
We need another chief and arbiter team up and a coop feature like in halo 3 having both characters fight the banished would be insane

Some ideas i had while watching the vid:
Surprise mission where chief is captured and we play either as arbiter (probably, since i think they will make playable elites) or Jerome! (If they dont make playable elites). I also think that Jerome-Isabelle will be the next Chief-Cortana IF they do it good and not just a copy. With Jerome being more charismatic and Isabelle kinda crazy and cowardly cute. Maybe a halo: Red team game or dlc after halo 7 to make Jerome more popular and, maybe, do a jerome-chief in halo 8?
Next idea is the banished; they will help the endless most of the game, then team up for a mission or two and when we defeat the endless, betray us!
About the ark: everyone has a reason to go but us. Atriox for the army, Endless for whatever. But humanity? We need to stop them from doing it. Just as we needed to stop the covenant from using the rings. Btw, we will fail just so we reunite and save the spirit of fire.
About the Infinity: i doubt its destroyed? Its the best ship humanity had, so i think the survivors will save us in a spirit of fire and infinity and Arbiter's ships vs banished ships cinematic. Wouldnt that be badass? If they dont do that, the spin-off game could be a custom-spartan game on the infinity. You lose your teammates, and it all happens on the ship. It could be cool!
It would be so cool if the forerunner maybe upgrade chiefs suit to better fight the endless, or maybe we could see some forerunner ships in action, I would just love to see them take an active role in helping humanity

As far as all for his goes I do generally hope we can once again see the Spirit of Fire join the fight against the Banished and also against the Endless.
It would give the story such poetic Justice to see the one ship and her crew that the Banished couldn’t defeat at the Ark.
I remember finishing Halo 2 seeing there was seven rings at the end and being excited that there’d be at least 7 more Halo games! I was just a kid and me and my friend just finished the campaign being excited already for the next game.

3. Reworked Prometheans
4. Hardlight/promethean weapons are hard counters to flood
5. Halo wars stuff like flood forms
6. Don't leave it unfinished like infinite where 343 made it intending to continue it for dlc that never came.

They also need to not contract out work. It's not worth it and I don't understand why Microsoft doesn't understand that. You'd think that investors and Microsoft would have understood that halo 5 and infinite didn't benefit from contracting out work. Microsoft could throw as much money as they wanted at the next halo and it wouldn't even be a drop in their bucket...

Up to 12:17 of the video. Imagine halfway through the game we have a Forward Unto Dawn like cutscene from Halo 3 The Ark. Where we're fighting "endless" on Zeta Halo and then in the background while we're on a huge mountain of sorts. The Halo goes into slip space and then when coming out of slip space The Ark is in the background. Like a sort of Skybox cutscene
Whatever happens with the story, they need to hire HiddenXperia as a member on the storyboard!

Its is absolutely crazy how much potential the halo franchise has and how perfectly the next game is set up to be one of the best halo games ever yet it will be many years before we see anything of it

Funny, I used to look up Halo 7 even after the release of Halo 5: Guardians. I don't know why, or how I thought of a strange idea. Now, here I am watching HiddenXperia talk about Halo 7. You just blew my mind!
At this point hiddenxperia makes up more than half of the enjoyment I get from halo
I keep going back and forth if I want dlc or a new game. I'm ok with a new game if they don't completely scrap what they did in infinite. I loved the game I just want it expanded. I also don't want have to fo through them rebuilding the multiplayer... AGAIN.
I more or less understood the plan for Atriox was to integrate the Endless into the Banished, and then fire the Halos to kill everything and rule over the galaxy, cleansed of all competition.
Therefore, he's an ally of the Endless IF he can convince them to join his cause (considering he's just released them from a thousands years imprisonment, not a huge gamble, but still...), and an enemy in a 3 pronged war between the banished, the UNSC and the Endless.
Although, at this point, the UNSC isn't much... They got curbstomped by Cortana, most of the Infinite's crew that landed, even if fully regrouped, are largely depleted in equipment, hope and personel. Unless Cutter shows up, or the Infinite comes back with reinforcements (now that Cortana is down), they're gonna have a hard time throwing their weight around like the banished...
...Or the Endless wipe out the Banished fleet and this ends up as a last straw knife fight in the mud involving the depleted UNSC, the Banished busy loosing ground left and right and the freshly awakened endless who may not quite be at full power yet !
Maybe the UNSC will somehow find a treasure trove of forerunner artifacts and finally have what they need to complete Eternity assuming Cortana didn't destroy it

The one thing the new games lack is the feel of being in a massive battle for humanity. The reason I loved Bungie Halo is because you really felt like you were part of large scale operations with huge assets that can help you. It wasn’t a story where you are on your own. My favourite mission was the one from halo 3 where your in the sand and the massive ship comes down and drops off tanks and whatever else you could possibly ask for. That was so cool for me.
Now I feel like it’s just me driving around and doing like such specific things rather then just defending a city or something, or even halo reach where you are working together with command and are following orders.
I want it to go back to that.. but idk how they would ever do that now
I just thought of this if the endless are considered Precursors so wouldn't the Harbinger be talking to one of the many graveminds or proto graveminds on Zeta halo like you said there are parts of the ring that are in disrepair so the Harbinger could be communicating about her failure to the gravemind or proto gravemind and when she died it could be like the Primordial her consciousness became one with the Flood hive mind

It would be fantastic if they found a way to reintroduce characters from both Halo 5 and Halo Wars 2. Picture being able to assemble your team much like in Halo 3 and 5. Player 1 could take on the role of Chief, Player 2 could be Jerome, Arbiter, or Fred, and Player 3 could choose between Blue or Purple Elite, along with other Spartans and allies. Including past characters from earlier games feels like a no-brainer; it's frustrating to see them introduced only to be sidelined later on.
