    Slava Ukrain! Slava heroyam - glory to Ukraine and to the heroes who are defending their homeland against the savage, abominable invasion of that peaceful country by Vladimir Putin and his thugs. May the Russian people, who have been so shamelessly brainwashed by the state media about Ukraine, rise up and rid their nation of the KGB megalomaniac Putin.

    We have also music and words as weapons to support Ucraine. The words that are forbidden in Russia. When a regime starts to forbid words it is signal about real danger. Like Orwells book "1984". And now it is 2022. And still certain words are forbidden in Russia. Like the words "war" and "attack" and "aggression". The fact that Ucraine is attacked by russian troups and that Russia has started a war has not been said in Russian media, they lie constantly. Hopefully this music will unite us all to stand up against the aggression from fascistic regimes.

    Very mixed feelings about russian musician(s) at the stage in this very moment! Could them just stay silently and pray for their authorities to stop this brutal war!? Or protest if they do have bolls for this! Why to show up in this event?! We have really enough of their "friendship".

      You don't realize they loose a lot while playing there. Some of them cannot visit their parents in Moskou anymore without getting caught by the Russian regime.

      I think the Russian musicians, particularly Maya Fridman, are really brave for doing this, actually. Putin would very well call what they do here 'treason'. To have the humanity to call up Anna Fedorova to propose doing this to try to help Ukraine, and to have the courage to take the microphone at the front of the stage and say that she is Russian... knowing how the rest of the world is feeling about Russia... even though she is clearly so distraught and ashamed by what her country is doing. I hope she and her family aren't going to be made to 'pay for it' by the Russian government. The person who has every right and expectation to object to this is her friend the Ukrainian Fedorova and her fellow countrymen. Look how they act. They value friendship and goodwill over nationality. We should do the same... or at least aspire.

      @RichardTaylor1630 Před 2 lety +5

      I know that when your cities are being bombed to rubble, it's hard to accept the solidarity being offered by these Russian musicians. However, you must realize that it is only through the courage of the Russian people, teamed with the sacrifice of Ukrainian citizens, that Ukraine will be freed from the horror being inflicted on it by Vlad the Destroyer. Before the invasion, probably about 75% of Russians supported Putin, but as the truth about the assault on Ukraine seeps into Russia, that support will collapse and Putin will receive the fate he deserves - a hopefully fate like that of the odious tyrant Nicolae Ceaușescu.

      @@RichardTaylor1630 Thanks for your comment. The hope that russians would wake up is little. But yes, this will help. Anyway, we do not believe they could change their imperial approach towards Ukraine - our land, our culture and history. All we want them - to get away from as.

    • @nss21heath
      @nss21heath Před 2 lety +9

      As one of the musicians who organised and performed in this concert, we all felt it was important not only to show support and solidarity with Ukraine but also to show hope for harmony between the two countries. Just simply being born in Russian doesn't make one guilty of Putin's heinous crimes. That is a difficult but fine line we must draw. All of the Russian musicians we know are deeply disturbed by the acts of this regime. Then there are the millions of people brainwashed by propaganda who are simply cut off from the truth. Ukrainians, Russians and all people fall victim to this fascist barbarian and his cronies.
