WOW!!! You must be the first person to review this, certainly the first review I’ve seen….. massive congratulations mate👍 I have 2 on order with Amazon UK & Germany…. Hopefully won’t be too long. This for me is the best thing to come out of 2023 so far…. This video has got me pumped for tomorrow’s Fangor drop… hope we all get one!! Will look forward to watching the full video later, take care👍🇬🇧
Thanks for the comments, friend! I'm not sure if I'm the only one out there with this set. I bought it online from a seller who had a couple in hand. I think it came out great! I can't wait to go for Fangor tomorrow, too! Thanks for stopping in to check out the review 👌
Looks like the new Night Stalker pegs into the base like Stridor did to Greyskull somehow. Now we just need Fright Zone and Slime pit to complete the Vintage battlefield!
Yeah that's an interesting perspective! Night Stalker was announced and coming to Mattel Creations next year. Mattel also hinted at the possibly of a Fright zone and the Slime pit down the road for Origins at SDCC! Thanks for stopping in to check out the review 👍
@@The_fan_of_Resident_evil I bet we get a translucent Slime Pit He-man as the pack in but the 200x mutant would be amazing. The Skeleton Warriors kind of feel the niche of the Mutant though
This Snake Mountain is perfect! Renovated, many details and new accessories. We love! Congratulations on the amazing review! Always following your Channel and the news. Hug from Rosmineiro friends.
Hello friends! I'm so happy to hear you like the play set! I think it came out so good for the Origins! Thanks for stopping in to check out the review and always leaving your thoughts! Hugs from the USA 👌
Santa is definitely bringing this to town for my Son and all the Snake Men Army figures have been saved back too so far ! Christmas morning is going to be a MOTU Snake Men Army theme and this Snake Mountain will be the last gift hidden there in the back of the tree ! Great review !!!
That's awesome! Your son will be in bliss Christmas day! I remember getting my first snake mountain at 10 years old at Christmas with a few figures almost 40 years ago! I still remember that like it was yesterday! Thanks for watching and sharing your comments on this playset 👍💯
Ill Never forget Xmas morning in the 80s when we got Castle Grayskull and the first wave of He-Man figures! It was all completely new toy line and played for days with everything!
@@Robd07 I Remember that feeling with so many of the MOTU vintage collection as a kid too! That Christmas Snake Mountain story is always in my head when I look at the Snake mountain pieces!👌
Yes i totally agree with the comments this revival of snake mountain definitely had a lot of love put into this having the gray skull next to it is just so awesome i could look at them all day to get those 80s memories just flow through can't beat it.
Thanks for checking the video out! The overall playset and box art were really created out of love for us collectors that grew up with vintage collection! I have the Classics Greyskull and The Origins Snake Mountain. They all look great together and make me feel like a kid again with those 80s memories!👍
Thanks for stopping in to check out the review! Yes in hands it is awesome! Much better and even bigger then the Vintage one. MOTU VETERAN Collector here since 83 as well!👍
@@jurgendenederlandse2449 maybe check out Big Bad Toy store in the USA and see if they have any on stock and international shipping changes. I'm not sure when other venders outside the USA will have these.
I'm just so glad to see the colors were corrected from the that prototype's ugly color scheme, and the whole thing was improved overall from the vintage version.
Yeah I was happy see that once I got it out of box. The colors are very simular to the vintage now but even better I think! The overall look and design came out really cool for this Origins line! Thanks for watching and sharing your comments 👍
Thanks for watching! Yeah I also have some custom ideas too. The overall design and accessories with this Snake mountain came out cool. But it might need some custom work!👍
I need this. 80 bucks is very doable. I have Castle Grayskull, so I can't miss Snake Mountain. I'm _really_ hoping they release a Point Dread and Talon Fighter set for _Origins_ that attaches to one of Grayskull's towers like the original, and if they then eventually released an Eternia set it would all be complete. [EDIT] Oh jeez, I just saw the back of the box that they _do_ have Point Dread and Talon Fighter! _Yes!_ I _have_ to get that to complete Castle Grayskull! A Crystal Castle set would also be rad. Now Mattel, give us an _Origins_ Modulok!
This is a really cool set if you want a decent Origins Snake Mountain playset! The Talon Fighter came out a couple months ago! I reviewed that! I think it's awesome! Eternia is coming out next year for the people who preordered it with the Mattel creations Kickstarter. I got one as well! Mattel plans on finishing up the Origins figures. So Modulok is coming. But he will be a Mattel Creations exclusive figure. Thanks for stopping in to check out the review 👍
THE ORIGINAL IS THE BEST. IT WAS £28 FROM ARGOS IN 1984. THAT WAS ONE OF MY CHRISTMAS PRESENTS BACK THEN. TO TAKE AWAY THE SOUND FEATURES RUINS THIS SET.
I loved that Sound feature on the vintage one when I also got it at Christmas as a kid. I am a bit dissapointed about tat in this set! I think I'm gonna buy a used one on Ebay for this! Thanks for watching and sharing your comments 👍
@JeffersonRummer-eh2zl Yeah, aside from the Microphone feature. The 80s SN definitely focused on the outside, as you mentioned! I think this is Origins Snake Mountain does a little better job with the inside and other play features like the acid pit and Jail that can be moved around. Thanks for watching and sharing your comments 👍
First class review! Thanks for showing all the little details. This is a great play set and I’m looking forward to getting it! The added mountain peak and articulated snake adds so much to the vintage design. Also the bone throne is a good inclusion, might have to use some blu tak to keep Skeletor in place 😂
Thanks for taking the time to check out the review! Yeah it turned into a longer video than I wanted it too. But I tried to show everything in detail! The overall set came out really nice for the Origins or smaller figures. Taking is a good idea for the bone Throne 👍
@@ThemanchlidFinally opened my Snake Mountain this week! It’s an amazing playset, I love how monstrous and imposing it looks. I always feel tempted to pose too many figures around it but have to hold back and let it shine 😂
@sunnyshine2215 Congrats on opening your snake mountain! I think they did a really great job in the design and size for Origins. It looks cool with figures all around it. I think smaller figures look really good on it as well. Thanks for sharing your toy haul update and the fact that you opened your Snake Mountain up and like it!👍
It’s a terrible playset that was just a repaint of a jungle-themed playset that was never released. Looks nothing like the cartoon and the scaling is off. Good scale for GI Joe though.
@@shootermcgavin1208 Yeah I'm gonna use mine for smaller scale figures! It will be really good for that! I keep allmy Origins on the Classics Snake mountain now!
Great coverage! Thank you! If there are any of these still hanging around in a few months, I may snag one to augment my Classics Snake Mountain with extra stuff.
No problem! Thanks for checking out the coverage. I just put up a second video with Q&A regarding some of the comments from this video with more information, and I compare the Classics and Origins Snake Mountain!
Snake mountain came out great! Awesome review as always, thanks for getting this out so fast. Would love to see a follow up and comparison to Grayskull
Thanks for stopping in as always! I'm glad you enjoyed the review and the overall playset! I actually never picked up the Origins Greyskull because I had the Classics! But I really wanted an Origins Snake Mountain on hand! It came out Really cool👍
Took me a couple of days to watch this one (a little bit at a time). I really like this play set, but it’ll probably be a while before I’m able to get it. Castle Grayskull is still in the box sitting at the top of one of our closets because we just don’t have the open space for it. My son’s room is already filled with toy cars and Little People vehicles. Plus it’s approximately $80, which is expensive for us at the moment. Anyway, on to my main comments. Definitely love the new additions: the bridge looks much sturdier and more durable than the original; the removable cage works really well; I agree, I thought that acid pit was really cool when they first showed it. Highlight of the set, in my opinion. It’s almost as if the Origins figures were designed with that “submerging” feature in mind! 😉 Admittedly, Snake Mountain as a whole does seem fairly cramped in regards to posing a bunch of figures in various positions. Especially the snake…as awesome as it looks, it seems kind of clunky. Still cool though! The thing is, all of the play sets were a bit claustrophobic like that when we were younger anyway, so that’s to be expected. Originally, their main purpose was to really just give us a cool battlefield and a few play features with which to use our imaginations, not really to pose the figures. The wolf head does kind of seem a bit pointless without the microphone feature. At least you can attach that spider to it, and it doesn’t take up quite as much space. I honestly don’t remember the microphone when I was a kid, so either I didn’t use it all that much or it was a novelty that wore off shortly after I got it. Or, it probably had to do with the fact that I did my own voices and didn’t need to use it. So, I’m not that disappointed that the current version doesn’t have it. The extras and updates make up for it, in my opinion. I feel like there was more I had to say, but I think most of it got covered. Great in-depth review: how it was packaged, how to close and put it away after assembly, etc. Much appreciated! 👍
Thanks for watching and taking all that time to watch the review over a couple of days. I honestly didn't plan on making this review almost an hour long. I don't like making videos that way! But I wanted to go through everything in good detail and make as much edit cuts as I can too. I originally had another 20 minutes of footage that I cut to save time! I might make a shorter update video on this playset in regards to certain questions I didn't cover or cut in the review. I understand waiting a while because of the extra cost and space to store this! I also now have the same issue! It would have been cool to see the Microphone again. But just like you mentioned! I don't remember using mine that much as a kid. You can always buy a used one on ebay from the vintage. I might do that for the nastalgia. I also got comments that it seemed small for figures. But I think it is taller then the vintage and its doing exacly what the vintage was trying to do at the time as a backround piece for the figures. Kind of like you also mentioned! I use my Classics Snake mountain for my Origins figures. They look great in scale with that set up. But even then, The Snake mountain looks small. Making a Filmation scale Snake Mountain would be 7 foot tall to scale with the Origins. Lol. That's not happing or logical for toys. So the size and design is fine for what its trying to do again going back to the vintage! They put a lot of cool things in this playset now like the cage that can moe around, Acid pit and that large Snake! Yes it's not the most practical thing. But it kind of replicates the filmation Snake I guess. Overall I'm really happy how the Origins Snake Mountain turned out aside the few gripes i mentioned in the review! I'm glad to hear you also like the overall playset aside the issues you also pointed out! I think it's worth it when you can pick it up for $ 80 dollars or so!👍
No problem! Thanks for taking the time to watch the review. There was a lot involved setting everything up and even figuring out how some things worked like that Snake before I filmed it. I'm glad it helped you out! Congrats on getting your Snake Mountain set!👍
Wow! I'm excited you like the New Snake mountain and the overall review! I actually had more footage of trying smaller figures and other things that might be fun! But I didn't want to go over and hour. The setup took a lot of time and I edited as much as I can to save time. Thanks for watching and sharing your comments 👍
great review!! Looks great and it looks like the bridge is more secure in unlike the old one if you put a figure on it it would collapse . I like the bone throne and cage/📱
I hear that! The Origins is all about recreating that vintage nastalgia at this point for us adult collectors who grew up with the brand! Certain things are changed or missing now like the Microphone in this new Snake mountain because of high costs to manufacturer it now. But it's still a cool playset! I'm happy to hear you are enjoying the line! Thanks for watching 👍
Oh, I remember my vintage Snake Mountain like yesterday! Mine just sat on a table with all my stuff together! It's awesome you took yours outside then! That's the real fun! Thanks for watching and sharing your memories of the Motu brand 👍
Thanks for going out of your way to finally check this review out! I appreciate your support! I also just made a second part to answer some questions from the comments!
The 2 pack of the Skeleton warriors arrived in my pile of loot on bbts. Yeah the vintage Snake Mountain didn't even have a 2nd floor. It should be a little bigger so the figures can stand on the walkway. Glad to see the bridge is one piece. The prison box is much better than the cargo net ha ha. It's nice that both sides have playability instead of just the outside of it.
Yeah I also got a shipping email from BBTS that my other Skeleton Warriors 2 pack shipped. They are definitely a really cool set! Hopefully yours ship out soon too! The design of this this Snake mountain came out really good. It's bigger then the vintage one. The bridge is much better now. I would rather the prison box over that net as well! Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 👌
I’m going to buy this of course. Kind of disappointed that a lot of figures and now snake mountain lack the original features. No microphone for snake mountain.
They made some changes to it from the Vintage like I showed. I wish it still had the Mic too! I ordered a vintage one on ebay. I'm gonna try to make it work in this Origins set! Aside from that! I think it's worth having for the Origins collection!👍
@@darrenhommell3414 Thanks for taking the time to watch the review! I didn't want to make it that long. But I wanted to go through everything as best as I could and make enough edit cuts too👍
I want to put this on a 4X4 built up board, with some expansions for dungeons and some more rooms on this... Has a lot of possibilities for styro and multi levels. Never got this one the first time around...
That's a great idea! I had most of the Vintage MOTU collection and playset as a kid. They were all together on a 4×8 wood table mixed with other things. So this Origins Snake Mountain can work great with other expansions like you mentioned! Thanks for stopping in to check out the review 👍
I love the review. Please always stay down to earth and fun like you are. You preserve the joy of collecting and playing. Here’s to motu and a whole new generation of building memories! 🍻
Thanks, man! I appreciate your view and the enthusiasm for the Toy collecting aspect, and most certainly MOTU! I will continue to be me and do what i do! Let's keep motu strong for us collectors and the next generation!! I totally agree 👍
The art work and box is incredible! I had to spend time going over it in the beginning of the review because how impressive it was! Thanks for stopping in to check out the review 👍
Damn! THAT is AWESOME! I hope I find one soon. I'll be patient. Took a while to get Castle Grayskull but I found some eventually. The ONE thing that I like about this over the Classics Snake Mountain is this one has latches that keeps the set closed unlike stupid Super 7's take on it. Looks like I'll have to repaint it first before I put it together if you can't take things apart once assembled.
Thanks for stopping in to check out the review! Im really excited to finally get this in hand and see how everything works! I think it turned out great! The latches are much better than the Classics Snake mountain by Super7. But then again I always have mine opened. Yeah if you want to do any painting. Then do that first! Certain parts are not meant to come off without lots of force or modifications once they are Snapped in place!
@@somarriba333 I just took a look at mine again! Yeah you're right! It has no latches! I just have mine opened up and never tried to shut or lock it. I forgot about that missing latches.
@@somarriba333 I think a few things were cut in the final production of that Classics Snake Mountain! I remember as people started getting it first. All the complaints came forward. The colors were different, The chain shackle would break. They made it smaller then it was showed by a few inches. I'm sure the latches were also in the prototype or plans but then cut.
Great set overall , I really wish they woulda went lighter on the gray wash. Sad they can't sit in the bone throne that well and no paint apps. Over all great set .
Thanks for stopping in buddy! Yeah they made some changes that might be positive or negitive for certain people.i mentioned my gripes in the review! But overall it came it really cool! I hope you get one down the road when you can and review it. I would like to hear your take on it!👍
I went the Megaconstrux route to collecting MOTU but Origins Snake Mountain does look great as well as Castle Grayskull. I really like how the mega figs hold weapons & go in vehicles better where as the origins & old figs were always clunky.
I don't collect the Megaconstrux Motu figures personally, But it is cool they exist for people into them. The Origins is a really cool line. Many people get into collecting The Origins or Masterverse for the Nastalgia is just fun to mix these figures and playsets with different collections. The Megaconstrux figures would also look cool all over this Snake mountain because of the size difference! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your figure collecting info👍
@@Themanchlid I had Castle Grayskull & Snake Mountain when I was a kid. Origins are definitely cool & scratch that nostalgia itch but that's a lot of space for me. You can swap parts on the Megas as well & they are small so I was able to collect them without them taking over all my space. Yeah, the origins playsets would be huge with the Mega figs!
@@Mind_of_MATT Oh yeah! I had most of the Vintage collection as a kid. I didn't have Eternia and I was missing a couple of figures. But I had everything else. Yes the Origins and Masterverse can take up a lot of space! We are all fighting that battle depending on how big your space is and how much stuff you have! Things like The Megaconstrux are definitely better on space issues for sure!
Try bending the knees so skeletor could fit in the chair. And dragon blaster skeletor wasn't made to fit in that chair. I noticed you don't bend the knees enough. Great collection by The way. I have and collect the 1980's vintage he-man set. I have over 30 he-man vintage figures so far from merman, fisto, zodak fakor ect. And castle greyskull as well. Great video.
Thanks for watching the review and adding your suggestions. I used the Dragon Blaster Skeletor to see how he would fit with the Dragon on like they have him display on the box in the bone Throne. So I wanted to test that first. Then of coarse I tried the other figures as you saw in the review! The chair has plenty of room. But the more you bend the knees, the more the figures sit off the chair and slide out. I find if you raise the chair with something under it a bit. Then you can bend the knees and they sit ok. The solution is some putting.
@@larav6505 Thanks! Sounds great! Congrats on ordering 2. If I had room. I would probably get another in box down the road. But im happy with the one. I hope your orders ship soon👍😁
Very well done sir. Looks real cool. I used to use the microphone all the time when I was a kid. And I finally got my hands on a moss man at Walmart last week. He's staying in package. Lol
Thanks for checking the review out! Yeah I remember that Microphone well on the vintage as a kid too! Great pick up on that Mossman! I would definitely keep him in card!👍
Thanks for stopping in bro! Yeah I didn't want to make the review that long. I cut as much as I can in editing. But I wanted to go threw everything in one video. Lots of stuff! Yeah Mossman is a little pricey now! Maybe you can find one on clearance later!👍
Whats funny is I never picked up the Origins greyskull. I have both the Classics Snake mountain and Castle grayskull. But I really wanted the Origins Snake Mountain! I showed measurments in the review. So if you have the Origins Greyskull! Just get a compare it with my measurments. Or of coarse someone down the road with get one and have the Origins greyskull to compare in thier review if they do that! Thanks for watching 👍
This would be my first snake mountain. Glad i secured a pre-order. I appreciate Matel giving us the mass production version(😝), id never buy a play set for $500 above. Nice fan service they did here. Looks great but would net get used to looking at it without the purple background.
Thanks for stopping in to check out the review! Congrats on getting your Preorder on this Snake Mountain! It's always best to get the Retail price. Hopefully this will start shipping soon! The purple backround is a must! I couldn't use that in filming because to much stuff blend in. So I used green screen.
@@Themanchlid no problem, enjoyed the review!.. thanks for trying it w/ master verse he-man, I didnt collect the Origins line except the animals, so its primarily a display piece with my Motuc collection.. & wow, didnt even know we had free figures.
I don't know the price for this. On the plus side it's got interiors, the old one didn't even have the floor, but it only really has one action feature which is very very disappointing
@@lipranditoys Thanks for checking the video put! The set retails for about 80 dollars. It's bigger then the vintage Snake mountain and has more action features than the original as well with the bone Throne chair, Movable cell, moving snake mouth and Attack Snake, Plus the acid pit set up. The only Major part missing from the vintage set is the Microphone. I made a second update part to this video with Q&A questions and I picked up a vintage Mic to compare and show it working with this Origins Snake Mountain set.
I'm always curious why people complain there's no deco on the snake. For the classics SM, the snake is stone. It makes sense it's just one color. Same with this SM. It's clearly stone. It shouldn't have red eyes and white teeth.
I'm going off the art on the box. That's the selling or advertising point of the parts and figures inside. The vintage had some deco. So I would think this snake would as well! But aside from that! It's an awesome playset! Thanks for watching 👍
@@Themanchlid True, the original had deco, but I always considered that one an actual snake. Somewhere along the line, it changed to stone. Was that Super 7 that did it?
@fuzzd0rk Yes, the Super7 snake was very stone like in appearance. I actually painted the eyes on mine! It's just personal preference at this point. Aside from the lack of deco that I was expecting going back to the box art. It's still a great playset and has awesome sculpts 👍
Thankyou very much for taking the time to watch and comment on this review! I tried to make video as short as possible! There was a lot to go threw with the set up. BBTS should get these in soon or possibly September at this point!👌
Preorders might still be available at Big Bad Toy store. If not I'm sure more will follow around the Christmas! It came out really cool for Origins! Thanks for stopping in as always!👍
The vintage set came with a ladder and a net. Those were the only loose things it came with. Castle Greyskull had so much more to offer. BUT the exterior of Snake Mountain certainly made up for it. In my display Greyskull's interior is shown with the Sorceress. But Snake Mountain is displayed with its exterior.
Yes I remember the capture net and Ladder in the vintage Snake mountain! Catsule greyskull came with all kinds of cool stuff ar the time over the Snake mountain from what I remember! But Snake Mountain is more impressive looking from the front as you mentioned! Thanks for watching!
@@pop-actor I don't remember it. But looking it up is a good idea. I guess that makes sense why the Origins one has it. I never used it if my vintage set had it as a kid.
Sadly Mattel dont bring this playset to Brazil. In really, Mattel stopped bring this LINE from Brazil I dont know why. They bring the Grayskull Castle, but nothing of Snake Moutain. And its completely impossible import this playset with ALL High Brazilian taxes. This is sucks. Great Review as aways!😢
Thanks for watching the reviews as always! Yeah, the Origins and Masterverse line is difficult for many people in other countries to get certain figures and playsets now. If you got the Catsule Greyskull at some point, then there is a chance the Snake Mountain will show up where you live at some point at the stores that carry the Origins or the Greyskull. The Snake Mountain is just coming out here now in the USA. So it could take a few months to show up in Brazil if the distribution does go that way!👍

Awesome review as always, brother. Always so thorough. Can’t wait to get hold of this. I actually only got one for my son, I don’t have the space for one fir myself. But of course I’m gonna fuck around with his all the time lol.
Thanks for checking the review out as always bro! I'm happy to hear you like the new design and look of this playset! I think it came out awesome! Your son will love it once you can get one in hand Hopefully within the next month or Two. You can always play and enjoy it with him. I hardly have the room for this thing as well with all my collection laying around!
I like seeing the parts up close. I’ve been back and forth whether I wanted this, but I think it will be a great display piece for the Snakemen. I’ve got all my other Origins attacking/defending a vintage Castle Grayskull. Now we just need a Fright Zone for the Horde. I would love to see a Filmation Fright Zone produced by Mattel Creations or Super 7.
Thanks for watching the review! Yeah I always try to show everything up close and go into the details. This would make a great display piece for the Origins Snakemen all around it. I have a feeling we will see a Fright zone comino next year to Mattel creations. But it will most likely be a Vintage inspired one. Maybe it could also have a filmation mix too!👍
@@Themanchlid I’m thinking Snakemen all around it and Scare Glow up in front of the gate, since he doesn’t look right with the Grayskull display. I’m looking forward to seeing the Origins version of the Fright Zone if/when Mattel produces it. I have seen customs of the Filmation Fright Zone, and I’m still undecided if I want to pursue it as another large custom project. Again, thanks for the early review, I’m definitely gonna have to get this one.
@@thebluelibra5686 I will show a Origins tour Update on my collection soon with how my figures are layed out around my Classics Snake mountain and Castle grayskull! Yeah that's True! I can never get any of my Classics, Origins or Masterverse to sit perfect in a seat or chair because of the articulation. Once in a while I find a figure that can!👍
I'd rather watch you open and review these things we love instead of those big toy reviewers that the toy companies send free stuff cause they mostly are just commercials for them and don't tell the bad parts of toys thanks .but free stuff would be nice .they should get in touch with u cause your reviews are much better
I appreciate your support and feedback on this review! Yeah I don't get anything for free. I have no idea if the toy companies even watched my reviews! I go out of my way to hunt all over the internet and try to find stuff early and pay a Mark up to get it to my channel for fun to review and show everyone what to expect and is it worth it. To be honest! I don't want anything free from the Toy Companies. I will buy it and I hope they make these affordable and accesible for everyone who likes what they saw in the the review and wants one!👍
Saw what I thought was a good deal at flea market on what seemed to be snake mountain but there was an extra word in the bold heading.. all together it read *”SNAKE MAGIC MOUNTAIN”* ,which,at first, had me like,Ok magic ain’t that bad but then,California theme parks came to mind!
Was it in box and the Origins one? Or a vintage Snake mountain? I have heard of Snake magic mountain before! I'm not sure if that's a custom or bootleg floating around out there..that's funny you saw that! Thanks for stopping in to check out the review and sharing you story!
Yeah it loos really awesome in hand! I think it's a better than the vintage one even know the Mic is missing! It still comes with some really cool accessories and features! Thanks for watching 👍
Wow amazing . I mainly pre order this for the box art but the snake mountain looks great too , lot better than grayskull. Purple is much better color than green . U should unbox and review all ur classics figures . You could do one video per figure . There’s really no point keeping them inbox , u can’t appreciate it unless u take it out.
The box and art came out increíble! I had fun going overall that in the review! The purple color looks great! Most of my Classics vehicles and play seys are out of box. Yeah I have all the figures in card. I like seeing them that way for now. Plus there are so many reviews out there now with Classics, I don't know if it would be worth ripping all mine out and showing another review now! But maybe one day I will take them out! Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 👌
Yeah I already purchased a used one on ebay. I'm gonna also try to set this new Snake Mountain up with that piece! Thanks for checking the review out 👌
I got SM last night and put it together. I think the problem with the trap door not falling when the cage is under it is the two little tabs on the right side. It looks like they rub on the cage. They might need to be filed down slightly so they don't catch on the cage as much.
Congrats on getting your Snake Mountain and Thanks for checking the review out of this set up! Yeah the problem was the little tabs on mine as well. It's also how you set the cell in the tracks. If it's a little crooked then the tabs hang up. You can file them like you mentioned. It might make the door opening easier. But don't file to much off. I just re adjusted my cell a bit and the door works ok. But still tricky.
@@fuzzd0rk Lol. QC issues are all to common today with Toys and playsets. Everything is a Rush to get it out out. Yeah aside child safety testing. I don't think they really test Everything over well with each piece that's manufactured.

Wow it is impressive. It works with origins, masterverse and classics. It has a lot going with the added details and pre applied stickers. Even more than castle Greyskull. It is nice it has an added throne room and cell. Along with the acid pit. Where you can put the upper torso of the origin figures. Along with the critters it comes with. It even has a spider. I like it has two trap doors. It is a shame they don't open as smoothly as they should. Maybe you fixed it already. I wonder if the two prison chain cuffs outside be used on masterverse and classics too? They sure put alot of effort into it. It is a shame it doesn't have the micro phone feature but it doesn't bug me much. Atleast it included the wolf head. Along with its sticker now by the throne room. That throne room once was Hordak's.
Thanks for watching and sharing your comments! Yeah this Snake mountain has a lot of interest things going on. I agree with you on all those cool accessories and play values that are added to this new Origins Snake Mountain. I already bought a used Mic on Ebay from a vintage Snake Mountain set. I did fix that gate problem by re adjusting my cell box.The Masterverse arms can fit in those chain too. You have to remove the hands first. The Classics hands are difficult to remove..but the arm can also fit. They did a cool job with this set! I happy to hear you like the new design 👍
@@Themanchlid It is a shame they didn't include atleast a foot peg at the upper ledge for He-man to stay balanced where Skeletor is waiting for him up top. As you pointed out.
Once again, an excellent & in depth review video ! Watched the entire thing & I throughly enjoyed it. You are just nailing it bro. Even though I have my Classics version, this will be a great addition for a play fearure with my kids. Can't wait for mine from Amazon.
Thanks for stopping in as always! I really didn't want to make the review so long. But thats what it turned into going through the parts and features. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it! I also have the Classics Snake mountain and I wasn't really gonna get this. But im glad I did! It's really cool looking. I think it would be cool with Smaller figures on it. Your kids will really like it once you get one in hand!👍
@@Themanchlid I understand the length. But it was worth it ! It was very detailed & beautiful. Totally loved the new version. Mattel has nailed this one out of the park.
@@Shiva-Kumar138 Yeah I think they really did a great job with this! I might make a follow up video because of all the questions and I will compare to the Classics and even set some smaller figures on it!
Awesome! I'd totally get some $1 store spiders and source out one of those echo microphones 😂I got this used as a kid and oddly enough it came with the terror zone hand puppet dinosaur so I thought it was part of snake mountain for the longest! Might wait a bit on this since Greyskull saw deep discounts plus I'm tight on funds. Fun review!
Thanks for checking out the review! Yeah you can pick up all kinds of cheap Spiders and creatures for cheap and use them in this playset. I just picked up a vintage Fright Zone with a Custom 3d puppet looking monster. I also liked that set as a kid. I hope Origins makes one! Deep discount might have these a little cheaper down the road once they have been out a while 👍
Fantastic review brother! This looks amazing! Mattel really went to work on this thing. I like all the gimmicks, the accessories, everything just perfect! Not to mention we got a bone throne and articulation on the snake head pretty cool! Really cool setup!! As always great content!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💯💪🏼🔥, Kudos!
Thanks for stopping in, brother! I'm glad you like the new look and design. I think Mattel did a great job on the small details and newer accessories for this snake mountain! I also made a second part or updated video showing more things I didn't get to on this review! 👌
Thanks for checking the review out! The OG one still looks really cool! I also have a vintage Fright zone set up still for my Origins. I think it still hold up well👍
I'm sure Amazon will get these in stock at some point and have a fair price Hopefully! I don't have a vintage Snake mountain anymore. But I like the look and design of this Origins one in hand! Thanks for checking the review out 👌
One of the most detailed reviews I’ve ever seen, great job. Would it be possible to use the Origins Snake Mountain bridge with the Classics Snake Mountain? I know it wouldn’t clip in, but could it rest on it? Maybe it being loose on it could be considered a play feature, like a collapsing bridge.
Thanks for taking the time to stop in and check out the review! Yeah it turned into a review and set up Guide! I also made a second part or Update video answering questions from this review video that where common in the comments that I didn't cover here or was cut because of time. I just tried that Origins Bridge again the Classics and you could make it work by laying against the two rock edges. Of coarse you have to remove the Classics bridge. Maybe some putty or double stick take can secure it in place. Good idea and question👍
@@chrisesposito5530 No it's to long compared to the Classics one. You would have to cut or modify it. Then maybe it could slide in those grooves. But even then it's more of a curve.
I’m thinking the Classics Snake Mountain would be open at less than 180 degrees, like the Vintage and Origins ones, to accommodate the curve and length of the bridge.
@@chrisesposito5530 my Classics one is all the open now with figures all over ir. So I didn't try to mess around with it for the Origins Bridge aside putting it up to it and see if it can work or be adapted somehow.
I had the original one when i was a child in '80ies... Sold 6 or 7 years ago for 60 euros in good condition... What a big mistake... I ll get this one for my son. Just got greyskull castle.
I remember having that vintage Snake mountain as a kid and getting it Chrismas day! So awesome! I had it for years, and I also got rid of it before I started adult toy collecting. I think this Origins version is better aside from the missing Mic that vintage had. I actually just bought a loose one on eBay for this set. So there are options! I am sure your son will love this playset once you get one in hand! Thanks for watching and sharing your comments 👌
Thankyou for taking the time to watch it! I didn't want to make a review that long. But I wanted to show all the details and possibilities I thought of at the time with this set up!👍
Hello and Thanks for stopping in to check out the review! As far as More In Stock at Target.com. the Web site dosent have any new info about more pre sales or Shipping updates. Only sold out pre orders. I think Amazon had some of these in stock or will ship the Orders in a couple days. The Paulmart online store has some in stock for $ ten dollars more. Here's a link if your interested.
I have seen images or teases of one from I think Brazil. I'm not sure if it's a custom in box or something that a company is pushing to Mattel for an idea. There is some fan demand for one. So it's possible! I think we will see a Fright zone and Horde slime pit first from hints by Mattel coming next year. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts ✌️
Great review thanks! I wondered if the flooring is solid or bendy as they have reissued the Grayskull set with revised flooring that is more sturdy? I had Snake Mountain as a kid and it was great but was always disappointed the bridge was so narrow etc - this looks to correct that. Microphone would have been nice but I prefer the added extras here - the prison reminds me of the one that came in M.a.s.k Boulder Hill 😅
Thanks for watching! The floor and all the parts feel very sturdy and not cheap from what I see! I didn't pick up the Origins Greyskull because I had the Classics. But I did hear some complaints about it. I had most of the Vintage collection as a kid! Snake Mountain was my favorite piece! Yeah it's a bit dissapointing there is no Microphone. But it's probably very expensive today to add to this playset compared to the 80s. I just picked one up from eBay now I'm gonna try to set it up in this Snake mountain! Aside from that! I really like how it came out!👍
No it dosent seem like you can adapt it from the other side because of the location of the plug in section and the way the snake has to use the action feature. Plus it's not long enough to go all the way around the other side.
Awesome review. Is the shell made out of the same flimsy type plastic that Origins Greyskull was made out of or a firm type that was used for the Classics Snake Mountain?
Thanks for watching! I don't have the Origins Greyskull. I do have The Classics Greyskull and Snake Mountain. So im familiar with the plastic. I would say this Origins Snake Mountain is built very solid. It dosent feel cheap in hand.
Someone else asked the same question! I took a look at it and it doesn't look like that can work because the legth of the snake, Articulation, How the plug is set up and and what the the directions show. Thanks for watching 👍
@@danielherrin There's so many possibilities with Cross over values as you mentioned. But it takes a lot of time, planning, Costs, Sculpts, packaging? Manufacturing to get product to Market and Millions of dollars to get it done. The Factory requires a minimum Required Production order to even set up a Production line to make the figures or playset. And Retail dosent want to carry large items anymore or a whole shelf of them. That's why playsets like this Snakemen mountain will only be found at certain Retail stores. And usually they will have one or Two. Most will be purchased online. The other thing is fan support and interests. Will enough people spend 80 to 100 plus dollars for the playset. The Snake mountain has been demanded since the beginning of the Origins line which was almost 4 years ago now. So look how long it took to finnaly put one out.
WOW!!! You must be the first person to review this, certainly the first review I’ve seen….. massive congratulations mate👍

I hope they do the 2000x slime pit cause I want to see that slime mutant in origins
@@The_fan_of_Resident_evil I bet we get a translucent Slime Pit He-man as the pack in but the 200x mutant would be amazing. The Skeleton Warriors kind of feel the niche of the Mutant though

Thanks for checking the video out! The overall playset and box art were really created out of love for us collectors that grew up with vintage collection! Thanks for taking the time to stop in and check out the reviews! I try to hunt and get one things are out early for review if I can!👍
I need this.
The only issue with the 80's Snake mountain is the inside of it was lacking. The focus was all on the outside. So much wasted potential.. IMHO..

Admittedly, Snake Mountain as a whole does seem fairly cramped in regards to posing a bunch of figures in various positions.
I think it's worth it when you can pick it up for $ 80 dollars or so!👍
Thank you - this was super helpful for figuring out how the Striking Snake pivoted. :D

Thanks for stopping in as always! Yes everything seems very sturdy to hold figures from what I see!👍
I've been working through origins so long this is going to take me back to the tubby 10 year old man so freaking awesome origins is so exciting ❤

Thanks for stopping in to check out the review! Im really excited to finally get this in hand and see how everything works! I think it turned out great! The latches are much better than the Classics Snake mountain by Super7. But then again I always have mine opened. Yeah if you want to do any painting. Then do that first!

Madness lol. Made it till the end bro…saw moss man at Walmart. He’s pretty sweet but $40 lol I need a sale. Awesome collection you have.
Thanks for stopping in bro! Yeah I didn't want to make the review that long. I cut as much as I can in editing. But I wanted to go threw everything in one video. Lots of stuff! Yeah Mossman is a little pricey now! Maybe you can find one on clearance later!👍
Can you upload pictures of this next to Grayskull? So we can see how they scale with each other.
@@gerrysabron You got it! I'm glad you enjoyed the details in the review! It took a lot of time to make it!
Would love if it had red eyes, mouth and white teeth like in filmation(since its sculpted after that version).
Awesome review! You did a great job! Can't wait for bbts to start shipping them out. Hope you are doing well!
Thankyou very much for taking the time to watch and comment on this review! I tried to make video as short as possible! There was a lot to go threw with the set up. BBTS should get these in soon or possibly September at this point!👌
I forgot i still need to pre-order this it looks great Maybe He-Bro will make some peices to customize the walk ways the make them wider
@pop-actor I think the Vintage Snake Mountain had one either. Just The catsule greyskull, I think!
@@pop-actor I don't remember it. But looking it up is a good idea. I guess that makes sense why the Origins one has it. I never used it if my vintage set had it as a kid.
Awesome. Very Nice. Thank you for Showing.
Thanks for checking the review out!👍💯
Sadly Mattel dont bring this playset to Brazil.
So it could take a few months to show up in Brazil if the distribution does go that way!👍
Awesome review as always brother 👍, can't wait to get my hands on this

Really cool playset. Great detail and it looks huge.
It's really cool to see in hand and I think it turned out great for the Origins orvother Smaller figures! Thanks for checking the review out 👌
I like seeing the parts up close.
Outside Space He-Man, no MOTU figures have ever been able to properly take a seated stance. It's become a feature of the IP.
WOW! Just.... WOW! Thanks for posting this amazing review!
Thanks for taking the the to stop in to check it out! I'm glad to hear your positive enthusiasm on this Playset 👍
That thing is awesome. Even as a kid i felt the original one was disappointing, nothing "inside" it.
Im gonna have to get a microphone bc my nephew lovew my vintage one. Thinking i can mount an old one to the new origins mountain
Yeah I already purchased a used one on ebay. I'm gonna also try to set this new Snake Mountain up with that piece! Thanks for checking the review out 👌
You can use gorilla mounting putty so the Skeletor stays put
Great Point! I actually used a small piece of double stick tape. But putty would also work great! Thanks for watching and sharing your comments 👍
@@Themanchlid It's a little annoying they left it that way. Seriously, did nobody do any play testing? Haha!
@@fuzzd0rk Lol. QC issues are all to common today with Toys and playsets. Everything is a Rush to get it out out. Yeah aside child safety testing. I don't think they really test Everything over well with each piece that's manufactured.

thank you for the followup. good lookin out! i feel sure i can speak for most when saying that we appreciate your time with these. you keep on doing whatcha’ do, and we’ll keep watching.

Hmmm, maybe the Origins bridge could slide into the grooves where the Classics bridge slots in?
Do you think we will ever get She-Ra’s Crystal Castle? That would be amazing to go with the Castle Grayskull and the Snake Mountain.

I just picked one up from eBay now
I'm gonna try to set it up in this Snake mountain! Aside from that! I really like how it came out!👍
i have one coming soon i cant wait
Nice! I hope you get it soon! Thanks for watching 👍
If you flipped the base of the snake and rotated the other parts could he wrap around the other way? Same peg hole
No it dosent seem like you can adapt it from the other side because of the location of the plug in section and the way the snake has to use the action feature. Plus it's not long enough to go all the way around the other side.
Awesome Review. ¿Whats the Oficial Price?
$79.99
Yes 80.00 dollars! Thanks for watching 👍
@@Themanchlid Thanks!
@@chrisalan457 No problem!👌
So Did the snake snap in place? The first you showed it didn’t snap in permanently….you just said it seems to hold
Yes it made a loud snap when I pushed it in more. I cut that part in editing! But now its really in tight and works well!
Can the snake be posed so it wraps around the other side of the peak? Like in the filmation cartoon
Someone else asked the same question! I took a look at it and it doesn't look like that can work because the legth of the snake, Articulation, How the plug is set up and and what the the directions show. Thanks for watching 👍
Let's crowd fund a Sectaurs Hive playset!!!!
Oh that would be expensive and probably very big! But interesting 👍
@Themanchlid think of the cross over value, Sectaurs, He Man, Cobra LA, maybe Transformers 🤔 Inhumaniods Barbies nightmare, endless possibilities....
