  • Not only did we create Khanmigo, one of the most sophisticated AI tools for learning, but Khan Academy’s CEO and founder, Sal Khan, also wrote you a guidebook for navigating this exciting new world of generative AI. Throughout researching and writing his new book, Brave New Words, Sal did several interviews with prominent and influential thought leaders in technology and the developing space of AI. Here is one of those interviews with Kevin Roose, author, and journalist for The New York Times.

Nobody gives importance to someone who is spreading education for free, I feel really sorry that nobody understands how important and valuable this is, I would love to join a physical khan academy, but I don't know if there is anything like that. I love you sal, thanks for making me understand a lot of things.

Education should be free. Educators should be paid. Do we need AGI to figure out how to do that?

Sal's insight that the AI was being "creepy" not due to the machine itself, but because humans are likely to answer "creepy" questions with "creepy" answers, and that the machine was just producing the most likely word, is a very typical nugget of gold comment from Sal.
