I liked the gameplay a lot. Really. And I think the story will be better a year from here. I mean, they do need to deliver that one year content. I don’t think WB will kill the game before that

Now you have a looter shooter, with battle pass, single player that needs internet access, and you kill the batman and the rest of the justice league... with guns.
"Going around shooting a big gun at mindless waves of enemies in Gotham seems kinda bland and annoying, so what if we... Shoot guns in METROPOLIS as a superVILLAIN? Aww, yeah, mixing it up!"
And the final boss is flash. Again
I'd have liked something such as Brainiac-Batman versus Deathstroke, Shiva, Deadshot, Bane etc on the Suicide Squad... and at the end it ends up they win by the skin of their teeth and they barely win. As he's dying his eyes could go back to normal and say "thank you."
I think Batman would be thankful to be killed in this case so he's no longer a threat to humanity and forced to commit atrocities... I just wish it was more respectable with who did it and how.
i get that the characters they chose were chosen because of the suicide squad movies and the fact that deadshot is a mainstay suicide squad member, but if they had switched out deadshot for deathstroke I could actually see how the squad could beat the league. Deathstroke has beaten the entire justice league by himself in the comics and has bested batman on multiple occasions. Deathstroke is a top tier villain with super strength, healing, durability and intelligence. He is perhaps one of the few villains that can beat up batman in hand to hand who isn’t 1 billion times stronger than bats like darkseid. Also I wish they’d just chosen cooler villains. I mean a squad of deathstroke, black manta, reverse flash, killer frost or black siren and lobo would have been a much cooler roster. I’m still hoping for some of these to show up as dlc, deathstroke and manta especially but they shoulda been the main squad in my opinion.

Also I was thinking why not add that character we named Promethieus, isn’t he supposed to be the criminal version of Batman… just saying a little suggestion they could’ve have. This would be my version Deadshot, Deathstroke, Prometheus and Harley. I kept harley because she was a villain in each game so why not keep here

the final fight is so bad. if they weren't going to have unique boss mechanics for Brainiac, I thought they would've at least had different phases where he took powers from various league members or combined them in some cool way, but no. it's JUST flash

You brought up a good point. The entire Justice League couldn't fend off Brainiac, but B Tier villains with bullets could? That doesn't make sense. However, The idea of the story continuing in free updates that keep the narrative going is really interesting to me. Like a movie that truly isn't "over". Cause now we get to the point of "what if" that Brainiac was the weakest of the 13 and not the "main one" that brought down the League? Are the "original" Justice League on Brainiac's ship and did we just kill clones? Hence the "that should have killed him" line from Diana. Feels like I watched a new kind of Justice League series where the story can go anywhere because none of the heroes have plot armor and to me that's really f'n interesting in a world where Bats and Sups always win.
technically the whole prep time argument relies that there be preptime if random overpowering force comes unless you are lucky first wave isnt going to win. suicide squad is the second wave when they know whats going on
You know this is a good point if they can pull this off this will be good. And, instead of rushing they could take time to work. I hope that they could at least make each one different in design and maybe character manners and stuff like that.
I think that we will have the answer to this next month with the first update. I think the story will either continue going and we will be happy or they will just insert some random 2 episode nonsense just for joker to come in. I'm really hoping for the first option. That is what live services are supposed to do...will hold out buying extra stuff til I have my answer. I'm in the minority that really enjoys the game though...so I might just be delusional. 😂🤣

1:02 I'm thinking brainiac made clones of the justice league. When he said "MY" Justice League, it feels like he made clones. Like, when superman got stabbed in the heart with kryponite, it should've killed him, but it didn't. The real superman would've died from that.

Might be Spoilers... But I saw some references to Wally West in the game. (Haven't played the game, only saw a photo). Maybe he'll do a Flashpoint and go back in time to save the League and defeat Brainiac before he brainwashes the League

This game really shines when you’re playing with a full group of friends. I can’t imagine trying to enjoy this as a solo player. It’s just not set up that way.

Wow. I just finished, and I am in awe. I don't feel the same passion that was in the arkham games. Rocksteady crafted a perfect blueprint for Comic Book games to come. But this game is just built on following the trend of live service.
My ssktjl rewrite:
The Game starts like in Arkham Knight with a POV from an unkown man sitting at a helicopter alongside the other Ss members Waller is Heard talking through the comms: "we managed to create an opening on Brainiac's shield, but it's temporary, it's a Matter of time before it-" sudeenly a huge explosion is Heard as the helicopter shakes, the shield closed off just as the helicopter got in and now it's falling down due to a missing rotor, the SS members get out but you cant get away in time and the helicopter crashes

Tutorial for each character as they get to the Hall of Justice, there they get their traversal equipment and Waller tells them to get to the Crash site as the Heli had a very important laptop for stopping Brainiac, but when you get there you find the POV Guy from the beggining ( Thinkerer)Who was suppose to operate the laptop dead and the laptop missing, Shark smells the trail the laptop left and when following It they encounter Luthor along with the laptop, he explains he stole it BCS It said Argus and though it might be important, Boss Fight, they get the laptop and aprehend Luthor and he tells them that there's a bunker with half of Metropolis hidden in It and with a man smart enough to operate the laptop, Waller orders them to get to the Bunker, they take a detour through the Batman Museum and get taken out by a non possesed Batman Who takes the laptop. Regardless they follow Luthor to the Bunker and find out he was telling the truth and meet Gizmo, outside a Battle is Heard as a brainwashed Flash is fighting WW, the Squad fight the Flash in order to avoid her getting captured but GL( Guy Gardner) comes when they're distracted and abducts WW, Flash escapes. They realise they're screwed as a brainwashed WW Will know the bunker's location and decide to head back to the Hall, there they make a plan to get the attention of Batman so that way they can get the laptop back asap, kill GL, they track him down, Boss Fight, the excuse i imagine as to why he wont kill them right away is that his Will power allows him to snap out of the brainwashed state for a couple of seconds, allowing him to make less lethal constructions and giving the squad time to land a few hits on him, at the end they kill him, Batman arrives, he scalds the Squad and tells them that Waller is not a good person and that they can do better, he leaves but the squad put a tracker on him, they follow him to the batcave, they sneak past him and steal the laptop along with some kryptonite, Luthor stays behind to distract Batman.
The Squad get to a Radio tower and with the help of Gizmo Connect the laptop, they return to the Bunker to defend It from the incoming League attack and find Batman along with a beaten Up Luthor, Bruce explains that the shield covering Metropolis stopped any outside interference, and that the laptop connected Argus to Metropolis' military arsenal, meaning Waller had been planing to nuke Brainiac's ship, killing the Evil Mastermind along with any remaining survivors in the city.
At that moment the brainwashed WW arrives, Bruce goes to get the batjet hoping to lead Superman to the nuke while the Squad defend the bunker, boss Fight, they manage to tople over a building onto WW, knocking her out, Superman arrives at the bunker but Batman gets his attention and leads him to the nuke, Sups deveates it to the sky and It explodes, avoiding any damage to neither the ship nor the city, the Squad before leaving to find him are given Kryptonite bullets by Luthor "kill him, it's what you do best", they arrive at a crater and find a Superman weakend by the radiation, Boss Fight, by the end of the Fight the Squad is pointing a gun at a vulnerable Sups, Waller tells them to kill him but Batman's words echoed in their minds "you're better than this", they decide not to pull the trigger and a defeated man of steel escapes, the team regroup at the batcave and get new gear, their new mission, is to kill Brainiac.
They infiltrate the ship along with Batman after defeating the Flash and while Batman goes to Brainiac's computer in order to deactivate his control over the League, the Squad fight him in a room he calls the Chamber, Boss Fight (and no, it wouldnt be a Flash re-skin). They defeat him and the ship starts breaking down, Brainiac shambles to the computer in order to instantly explode ship, Batman closes the door to the Chamber, locking himself inside along with Brainiac and tells them that if they stay to Fight him, they along with every city Brainiac conquered Will be destroyed, he'll stay behind to buy them time and ends off the chat saying he's proud of what they've done today, the Squad have no time to mourn and quickly escape the exploding ship carrying the cities. The day is saved and Metropolis builds a statue in honor of Batman and GL, the remaining JL members are put on recovery while the Squad are left to clean Up the city having gained a sense of honor and diginity.
Look I’m really loving my time with the game , as a looter shooter fan and in the Arkham world it’s so much for me BUT the Batman death and fighting braniac both not on his ship and as the flash was a real let down. I think the members will come back but yeah I thought these moments should’ve been handled better
Not only is King Shark just Drax from GOTG but Boomarang is just rocket with wanting to cut the fingers off (rocket wanting prosthetics)

I know the story was disappointing but I just want to talk for a sec about how beautiful that final tribute was to Kevin. Basically a recreation of the Animated Series iconic intro silhouette. And the fact that I can’t even tell whether the line Lois says is something that Rocksteady came up with or something Kevin actually said before he passed just goes to show how one in the same the two were.

Will say the story isn’t the best, it’s not bad but it certainly isn’t great by any means. I felt that the gameplay was fun and engaging. I think people have this certain expectation for rocksteady to create banger after banger but this time they created a decent fun game that just so happens to kill off one of the greater written video game characters. Once you get past our beloved Arkham Batman losing to the suicide squad it’s really not that bad. Overall it’s not nearly as bad as everyone says it is and I enjoyed playing through this game.

There’s several hints throughout the story that the League is alive so I can’t wait to see how it plays out in the seasonal post launch updates. Not to mention, it’s been leaked already that starting in season 2 we will get the Flash returning. I just hope they make up for the actual main campaign because it was rough…I just don’t think they’d purposely kill off the Justice League and Batman the way they did without bringing them back to help the squad take down Brainiac in the final season.
What are the hints? I haven't noticed anything. Are we meant to beleive that who we're fighting ISN'T the real Justice League and just a bunch of evil clones?

The fact that CABOOSE, one of the Arkhamverse fans (that I'm aware of), doesn't even like it, should say a lot about how much this game cares about it's fans.
What if they found a way to preserve the bodies and use a Lazarus pit to retcon their deaths?
Yoooo what if we see the return of Arkham Origins Batman? Roger Craig Smith being batman again and something to do with time travel that then starts the justice league earlier and we get a remake of all Arkham games with better graphics like resident evil. And roger could then take on the full role of Batman new voice actor or use all the old lines from kevin, who knows but would be dope

If you listen to the audio files in the game they hint at the justice league not being dead and i think their gonna bring a member back every 2 seasons or so i think this was all just setup other than that im enjoying the game

The games were based on comics and anniversary which is why Arkham Asylum was made until the fans wanted more so Arkham City which everyone loves is best as Origins wasn't better but was a good game and Arkham Knight finished that until Batman Arkham Beyond was gonna happen until Damien being main character made it not wanna happen so then everyone left and this game was made and they all died like it didn't matter... great game
They should do games with each member of the JL
For example Suicide squad kill the justice league how they said flash teamed up with Superman to defeat grodd(somewhere in the game they mentioned it)
Also that after credit is cool & and all, why would metropolis care about batman that much & not have gotham & Vickie Vale show that love. Would make 1000% more sense
They should've had a way that batman is cured and then superman is cured and they all go after brainiac and find a way to reverse the deaths of the other members. I think they're still going to do this. I think once all the braniacs are defeated, the suicide squad basically saves the world and everybody comes back somehow.
I really enjoyed this game my favorite part most definitely gotta be killing Batman, can’t wait to see what they do with the game next. It’ll keep me busy till Spider-Man 2 dlc

Ok all of you I have some news. If you all didn’t know, there’s seasons in the game and the devs secretly said that the Justice League will come back through the seasons, so no the Justice league doesn’t die forever and Batman is coming back as well.

I am in the camp of praying Red Hood is one of the future character releases. He is my favorite, and I think his dynamic with everyone would be interesting.
We will get a Joker, and I think from the other three silhouettes in the endgame teaser are Firefly, Black Manta, and Deathstroke (those 3 are just a theory).
Deathstroke for sure. I feel like we should have killer frost for season one, but I guess the guns make that hard cause why would she use guns?

Maybe the reason why all the League’s deaths were so anti climactic, minus Wonder Woman’s, was because they aren’t really dead. Would make sense in some regards, Braniac did zap the bodies away really quick and all 🤷🏼♂️

They could have had the squad against different antagonists, have us play as Wonder Woman and the Flash, have us play as Batman or play as the batfamily with the introduction of the Titans. So many variables one shitty constant 😢

Just read the character bios and you'll see that it's woke people writing this stuff. They prop up Wonder Woman like she's a God who literally solves "toxic masculinity" and then talk crap about each of the other superheros. And yes, the exact words toxic masculinity which has absolutely zero to do with the game are in the bios. Just ridiculous.
@fall-neckthetallneck2977 Yeah I read about that yesterday. Wb and sweet baby inc are to blame for this. I believe they will bring them back cause the game states brainiac killed 90 percent of the population and now the justice league are dead so i doubt thats gonna stay like that

You really think that the one good super hero turned out to be a female wasn't a coincidence? And in the bios, even for batman's bio, they said that he was broken by traumatic events and unfathomable privelege.
Normally I'm neutral on the stuff. Woke stuff being in Spider-man 2 didn't stop me from doing 4 100% playthroughs and even defending it. But that bio for Batman and Kevin's send off is absolutely disgusting. And yes, I played through all of suicide squad(side content included) so I gave it a chance. It's just a really bad game.
That end credits scene with Batman made me cry😢
