[THE STORY & OVERVIEW OF THE 501]
Ooh! An Express Route! Much Love to the first 500 route in the series. Runs out of Newton & Boston, with limited stops and using a turnpike to get access faster, with the exception of charging more to gain more. Perfect balance for a suitable ride from Boston to Brighton on a Friday Afternoon or maybe a trip from Brighton to Union Square, well, take the 57, much cheaper and frequent. Pretty good route, overall, apart from being only weekday service. I wish it has Saturday Service like the 504, but you can’t get everything.
