  • So guys the I30N is now tuned and it's quite interesting. The exhaust isn't necessarily refined but it's very thrilling and exciting.
    Performance is quite good, such a sweet spot, and the car handles the power so well. Interested to hear what you guy think?

    I see alot of people have a hard time understanding the difference between wheel horsepower and crank horsepower. Going off of dyno's in Australia the I30n makes 180kw and around 310NM to the wheels. Factories always list crank power outputs (sometimes BMW is an exception lol they usually make more than factory claims). Anyway so the point is for the car to make 235kw and 450nm to the wheels is alot especially for FWD only. So which means its a 55kw and 140NM gain to the wheels that's actually mind blowing. So probably almost 380hp to the crank around 275 kw and probably like 520nm don't quote me lol I could be wrong.

    Just for clarity, warranty is a very broad term. It covers things like your electric windows and aircon. Tuning the car won't void the warranty for your windows, but if the dual clutch is damaged because you're pushing more power through it, Hyundai is not going to fit the bill. That being said I would love an intake and software on my i30n, but that exhaust is just horrible. Everyone in your neighborhood will hate you and long rides are going to be so unpleasant.

      Mechanical warranty is what I’m talking about, the one that covers the engine, gearbox and other mechanical components, it’s not voided so says Hyundai themselves.

      You can get demo i30n's for like R650 000. Add a tune and for under R700 000 you have a 235kw car.

    That seems a lot more likely to be a stage 1 upgrade. Stage 2's are usually an addition of 60-90kilowatts. This concept of stage based tuning has been skewed lately and makes no sense nowadays.

    • @SgtFuzzy80075
      @SgtFuzzy80075 Před 5 měsíci

      Stages are based on the mods used to achieve the tune. Stage 1 = Software only. Stage 2 = light mods (intake, down pipe etc) and stage 3 = big mods like bigger turbo, and engine mods etc

      @CJr_M Před 5 měsíci

      @@SgtFuzzy80075 Still stage 1 Bro. Google is free. Mod guides are available everywhere.
      With regards to your stage 3 question, it would be whatever modification of your choice. It's usually larger turbos, a further remap, race injectors, pistons and rods.
      Think of it like this, if you're only getting a 15% performance upgrade then it's still within the realms of stage 1. 30-40% improvement would be stage 2. If this specific i30N made 300 to 330kw then you could regard the uogrades as stage 2. Anything that's pushing the engine and induction to it's factory limits would be stage 3 and onwards.
