To recap on the vid..
I like the chanter. It looks good, feels nice and sounds nice. I like the metal ferrule and sole, I think it adds character to the chanter. It also comes with a Frazer Warnock reed, which has been my reed of choice for years. Overall, I'd recommend it. - Hudba
Sounds great. Ive been wanting to upgrade my practice chanter
Strong sound. Frazer Warnock reeds are excellent, never use anything else.
Bulgaria
Are these chanters still available? the email address in the description is not getting through
Sorry to hear that, I'm on hols right now, I'll contact the people when I get back and see what the score is
Please accept our apologies anyone who has asked about the chanter we are having problems with our mail server so cannot reply please bear with us 😳
Sounds nice; no tape needed?
No... when I first stuck the reed in the HG and HA were a little sharp, but I hemped the reed and raised it a little. Sound you heard there was the result. Makers tell me they will narrow the throat a little to help this. Personally I'd leave it and just put more hemp on the reed
@@NeilClark-FalkirkPiping Thanks for the reply; good to know!
How do you get that vibrato sound ?
involuntary hangover from whistle playing I'm afraid
What’s the tune you played to demonstrate the bottom hand? I’ve been playing it for years after hearing Jack Lee play it but I’ve no idea what it’s called and had given up looking.
Hi Alex, it’s either the Banks of Lochiel or the braes of Lochiel.. Braigh Lochiall… I think
@@NeilClark-FalkirkPiping well that’s a lot more than I could find. Thank you very much. All the best to you for the new year.
