The DA is a social democrat party without the populism… They are not anti grants, but anti joblessness. Property in Western cape are also taxed far higher than any other provinces. These taxes are used to compensates for the poor. If service delivery is so much worse for the poor in the Western Cape then why are people continuing to flood to the Western Cape from other promises… this is an honest question as the only answer I can come with is that people can’t find jobs elsewhere or have received worse service delivery elsewhere.

The people who are genuinely poor can be scientifically measured and ascertained without the need for BEE which only benefits connected cadres who are first in the queue because they are a part of the black elite and benefit just because they are black, but not because they are poor!!

That Phalaphala matter was in parliament and the 6th administration has dealt with it. However, if Mr Ramaphosa goes, that will bring Mr Steenhuizen to the president office, THAT'S WHAT SOME OF US VOTED FOR DA FOR.

Lastly Jamie, you spoke about service delivery by the DA, they have failed woefully to provide decent service delivery to Africans who live in poor marginalized townships in WC. The ANC has also failed to provide adequate service delivery to poor Africans in provinces it runs. So why would that all of a sudden change now? Neither of these parties care about the poor, especially poor Africans. They only care about the markets.

Sadly the MKs absence is a missed opportunity and miscalculation by ubaba, but judging from internal communication from the MKP on the ground they've just hd a rude awakening with regrds to what their mandate in office means and how to proceed forward.

I have always liked Didiza. She can stimulate talks around land reform. But I would have preferred Lamola for president. An end to state capture. What I would like to see now is R15 for a dollar, a credit upgrade from fitch, and big investment from the US, China, the EU, and India. With China in particular. we have delivered the market friendly option. now we want jobs from the markets in return.

Realism is here. By looking at rise of PA, decline of EFF and reposition of ANC, voters are looking for how to tackle real day to day issues and less ideology. PA has real agenda of what they are going to do. By looking at how EFF and MK approaching other parties, it is not clear what they are going to do tomorrow. If you know a little about Singapore, there is a so called Realism style. It means Put ideology aside, find best solution for something matter next day. Singapore Chinese leader forced their 75% Chinese population to speak English. By the end of the day, we all see the result. There is a trend I can see in SA. I’m not a fan of PA. But the approaching of their leader after the election has been showing realism in their nature and really surprised me. But EFF is always about black liberation movement, but really lack of something they can do tomorrow. Before eff is the voice of the people, but after all these years, there is only loudness and unrealism. Disappointed to see the decline of EFF.

There is more racism in the Cape flats than the Northern suburbs, but racism is often assigned to white skins only. There is actually only one race, many cultures, and a few lacking pigment, making them more susceptible to the African sun.
