I don't see the DA helping the poorest people in as much as the ANC has failed.
That will be the DAs lost opportunity to convince the masses they can lead the country. Any political party with common sense will know unless you improve the lives of the poor masses you stand no chance of being the government especially if you White.
The ANC didn't help them either, in fact they've made things worse for poor people
@esscce free health care and social welfare grants is making it worse for poor people? Dang.
@@bhalz0472 the RAnd buying power was ruined by the anc(money buys less than it used to), the poor are buying petrol for generators with that 350 businesses that were making cheap bread or milk etc closed due to higher expenses and now the poor are buying Albany without cheap plentyful alternatives like years ago, prices of goods have gone up like crazy, sewage issues, school issues, joblessness increase,
All that social grants doesn't go far even if they increase it this year by 60% or double. What's the point of grants if things are getting worse anyway, people are still dying from health issues with all those grants.
You don't know how money works.
You don't know what corruption does to poor people.
You don't know how pathetic those grants are in the bigger picture
@@bhalz0472 we don't want free low quality stuff we want, zero corruption, good service delivery, quality infrastructure, stable electricity, lawfulness for corruption and fair society. The rest will fall in place
The DA saving Rhamaphosa from Phala Phala will put to an end the myth of politics without corruption.
They said they protect him
The DA is a social democrat party without the populism… They are not anti grants, but anti joblessness. Property in Western cape are also taxed far higher than any other provinces. These taxes are used to compensates for the poor. If service delivery is so much worse for the poor in the Western Cape then why are people continuing to flood to the Western Cape from other promises… this is an honest question as the only answer I can come with is that people can’t find jobs elsewhere or have received worse service delivery elsewhere.
Nothin will change they are all funded by the same individuals,
What a politically interesting times to be alive in😊😊. Game changing moments indeed
Racists are happy😏
The best thing would be to stop all forms of corruption. We shall see.
The DA is a racist corrupt and arty. And it’s very racist of you people to insinuate that it is somehow incapable of corruption. Meanwhile African parties are right?
and holding people accountable
But the reality, people on top are the most corrupt.Ramazondo.
@@albanyjerry Yep!
We need to stop being negative.
Put our trust in God.
This would not have happen this way if it was not meant to be.
So let it take its course.
We all live in this country &we want the best for our country.
So pray for our country.
This government is gong to start afresh.
God knows best.
This is the simple truth. Let God's will be done!
This is quite easy and we now see why the DA was very keen on working with the ANC. If John Steenhuzein becomes the Deputy president then trust me they will make sure Ramaphosa is impeached for PhalaPhala and would give John a shot at being president 🤞🏽
True
That's always the plan
That’s not possible, John won’t be president.
@@fridgemagnet9831 There are a lot of things we believed to be impossible that have happened in a span of 2 weeks
If the President is removed,so is the Deputy. Then it's another process of reelecting a presidential candidate.
(I Stand to be corrected)
In the best case scenario Ramaphosa would answer for Phalaphala
Nah
Let's forget about our land😭😭😭😭. ANC will regret this decision 🤞🏾🤞🏾
Why? The DA really loves SA and all her people!!
See - DA delivers for the poor and vulnerable, BusinessDay.

Do you know that the most successful land reform in SA is currently happening in the DA governed Western Cape?
Beneficiaries are given Title Deeds ( real ownership) as well as skills transfers and ongoing support so that they can succeed!!

If the law is there Ramaphosa is not going to finish his term
Why?
I hope Jozi can be as clean as Cape town .
The Local Government elections for Municipalities and Metros are around the corner in 2026!!
We need to vote DA to make it happen!!
Already , the DA has emerged from the 2024 elections as the biggest political party across SA's Metros!!

This marriage of convenience by the ANC/DA is the final straw for me.Long may the struggle continue for the progressive forces.Im sick in my stomach to think of this unholy alliance.I will support any progressive force to undo this alliance.Forward with the struggle.
What will you be saying in 5 years time when the economy has grown and unemployment is significantly reduced ?
@Procavia ... what are you saying about the state of the economy right now 🤔 . ANC has failed black people 😢
DA will not help black poor people 😢
Forward!

12 spoilt votes! How?
When U issue a clear ballot to a person to make a choice and they scribble nonsense on the ballot, then it's spoiled. So 12 people don't even belong there because they can't take a decision, yet they won't nominate their own candidates beforehand. Tells you about the character of the twelve delinquents.
another 5 years with Cyril. God help us!
Our country is on a much better path now than it would have been with another five years of ANC majority rule!!
I think it’s going to last at least 4 years. Ramaphosa is the perfect person for this kind of set up, he rules via consensus and is able to bring people on opposing sides to agree. It’s why he was brought in to the CODESA talks. Another ANC president and yes this would have broken down very quickly, with Cyril at the helm this is going to have longevity.
The reason why the ANC should fire him, he has killed the ANC and he'll reduce it to the 20% come next elections
Gonna be a very difficult 100 days for Cyril, if he can survive that, then we in for a hell of a ride
Good results for the moment, but there is a lot of work ahead.
DA DID NOT,
The Section 89 panel chaired by retired Chief Justice Sandile Ngcobo, found the president may have committed serious violations of the Constitution by “acting in a manner inconsistent with his office”, exposing himself to a situation involving a conflict between his official responsibilities and his private business, as well as violation of sections of the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act over the foreign currency that was held at his property in 2020.
This was overturned by the majority of MPs in parliament, shutting the door to the alleged scandal.
However, the matter has recently resurfaced
If that vote had gone to Malema the Rand would have instantly gone to R 25 to the Dollar and on Monday to R30 . The price of petrol would go up to R30 per L next month . All South Africans dodged a bullet , phew !
ANC sold out
Transform your mind
The black are so fooled by this. You'll choose not to see that yall have taken steps back even more shame.
😢
With the current temperature of afrophobia !!! south Africans have no right to be a part of the African struggle
It's a pity. The blacks in Anc and DA has stopped the struggle for total freedom of the blacks for immediate gain, which of cause they may have in this new marriage. But, this marriage would push the struggle for blacks freedom further. There's no way DA would allow an enduring freedom for blacks,, but more and more gains and give a relief package to the blacks.
@@walterikalama8362 they can't stop this struggle with this unholy coalition it's getting even nastier n unapologeticly African!!!!!
Our country has already been sold a long time ago
The worst is yet to come
Gods favour upon the collisions of the parties all of them in different collisions we pray for longevity and agreement working together in peace and harmony In Jesus Name Amen no racism DA is our SA party people must stop this Negeri ity about it that cost a lot of parties by singing division we want unity in our country to live together in peace and harmony for the better Ment of our country

"AMEN". In the Mighty NAME of JESUS.
But if Ramaphala is still there. With the CR17, Phalaphapha and ect. Is it Zizi Kodwa and Maphisa Ngcakula the only ones who are corrupt in the ANC? I find your introduction to be bias.
One by one they will fall, Paul Mashatile is next.🫡
PS I am not for the DA or ANC. All people have good and bad, please be fair in all comments. It has been time for change, for the top 2 chosen by the public to say something. Very few 2 people have the same opinion.
very interesting times. my hope is we can go back to that era we had in the mid 2000s where the country was moving forward. this is our opportunity to finally save south africans from poverty!
How do you see it happening with a DA that believes the way forward is for example (1) privatise state entities even water and electricity, which will make these basic services suddenly inaccessible to majority South Africans. (2) take away worker rights so business can fire and hire easly and (3) take away minimum wages to enable the business to employ those willing to take what it offers.
@@nyamekamahlangeni2356 i'm not a DA voter but don't believe all the anti-DA narratives. (1) if you read the DA manifesto it says 'fix SOE's & privatise where it has failed'. the priority is to fix these.
(2) + (3) I agree worker rights must be protected & am sure ANC will ensure this.
to address poverty we need jobs - to do this we must fiercely protect economic stability, address corruption, fix our infrastructure, attract investment & strengthen the private sector. particularly investment in new sectors. this is how jobs are created & poverty can be addressed. look to Rwanda, India or Indonesia as examples
@nyamekamahlangeni2356 Do you know that four out of every five new jobs in SA over the past five years were created in the DA governed Western Cape??
If you want to live in a successful and prosperous country where people have jobs and where our country's infrastructure, including public schools and especially public hospitals really work, then you should support this new path that SA is on!!
See - DA delivers for the poor and vulnerable, BusinessDay.
See - Impressive new school in the Western Cape, CZcams.
@@nyamekamahlangeni2356 i see my comments are being deleted by SMWX, i guess they don't like the pro-DA narrative. i'm not a DA supporter but live in the WC & can say unemployment is lowest here in the country + the governance is by far the best. while there has been shortcomings, we know at least the politicians aren't corrupt and the money goes to where it should
Yho! I really like Jamie man!!
Thank you Malema for renewing the issue of Phala Phala surely it will be in Agenda in the newly formed Coalition even if it takes time.
Forget Phalaphala is dead it was an agreement that if JS becomes deputy, they won't awake sleeping dogs
Sleepless night ahead.
Ay least he got 44 votes.
Private sector in any part of the world where implemented fairly and equitably ,will always be more efficient and cheaper than government. Leaving more money available for other issues to be resolved. Our healthcare and education system would be well served if the private sector with checks and balances partners with government to deliver services.
The fear is DA will service Sandton and leave Alexander
Mighti Jamie believes that the worst case scenario of the GNU will only come with the DA. Only what DA believes in might bring the worst case scenario. ANCs minimum wage, NHI, BEE, etc, is the best thing for this country.
These policies of the ANC that you mention have only benefited the black elite, not the poor!!
The DA believes in direct poverty alleviation or redress at the actual source of that poverty eg shanty towns/ shacks etc This will actually benefit the poorest of the poor who really need our help!!
The people who are genuinely poor can be scientifically measured and ascertained without the need for BEE which only benefits connected cadres who are first in the queue because they are a part of the black elite and benefit just because they are black, but not because they are poor!!
In most cases, the black elite are very far from being poor and can easily look after themselves!!
BEE and restrictive labour policies also drive much needed investment away!! Investment that creates jobs and prosperity for the people!
The province is well run under the DA.
3 months will be enough for this coalition
Stop making up stories about DA if they are doing so badly in Western Cape why is it that poor people flock to western Cape.
I stay in Cape Town, Western Cape. I don't think you are staying here. If you did, you would be singing a different tune about the DA. The DA only looks after their own.
Who flocks to the Western Cape?
Scriptural Truth, please l don't know much about cape Town, can you pls in sincerely tell me what is happening there?
Trouble times not to far off! If only CR was minus the Phala Phala saga & had leadership skills just maybe, now alas watch the space 😢

John Steenhuisen is going to have to learn a few struggle songs !!!! 😂
He needs to work on his dancing first. It sucks
That Phalaphala matter was in parliament and the 6th administration has dealt with it. However, if Mr Ramaphosa goes, that will bring Mr Steenhuizen to the president office, THAT'S WHAT SOME OF US VOTED FOR DA FOR.
Exactly, 100% prediction.
Is that what the constitution says or would there be an election to replace the president?

What you call "worse case" is actually base case. If something has been happening for over 10 years, that becomes a new normal, it seizes to be out of the normal. You have to come up with a new worse case.
True, egos and poor communication style could be a problem.
We will pray that God help them carry out they promise the SOUTH AFRICANS
Amen oooo!
P.s. What about the Vice-President? With PALA PALA I'm curious to see if the ANC agreed to a WHITE VP???????????
Gone are the days when we could just blame the ANC for all the misery, now who will we blame?
ANC and DA
@@thikolelwirinahramulifho5691 They will defend each other for the sake of the coalition
Lastly Jamie, you spoke about service delivery by the DA, they have failed woefully to provide decent service delivery to Africans who live in poor marginalized townships in WC. The ANC has also failed to provide adequate service delivery to poor Africans in provinces it runs. So why would that all of a sudden change now? Neither of these parties care about the poor, especially poor Africans. They only care about the markets.
😂😂😂😂😂 keep crying cu nt
I lived in the Western Cape for 6 years and have been living in Sandton for 2 years now. There is no difference in the effectiveness of service delivery from my experience.
Sandton is a DA ward as far as I know!
Do you mean informal settlement?.
How do people in parliament still not know how to vote that we have 12 spoiled votes out 339.

The sad thing is Rama-rama will not finish his second term.....
Window dressing is what is happening Pha
Phala Phala, Marikana and Life Esidimeni. Until we have those done it will be the best. Look at the book which H. Mashaba said before the MOU or MOA this is what Blacks or Africans will see. Check the PIC,UIF and it's just a gimmick for ANC and DA
Cyril will not finish his term 🦒🦒
After the messages of support. I am optimistic about the progress of SA and parliament holding the executive to account. Sadly the MKs absence is a missed opportunity and miscalculation by ubaba, but judging from internal communication from the MKP on the ground they've just hd a rude awakening with regrds to what their mandate in office means and how to proceed forward.
Dont take Zuma for granted just sit and watche we all going to be suprised
@@mzozukopeterfuba6962 as long as it doesn't involve instigating violence, I'm more than happy to wait for the chess master's move.
I have always liked Didiza. She can stimulate talks around land reform. But I would have preferred Lamola for president. An end to state capture. What I would like to see now is R15 for a dollar, a credit upgrade from fitch, and big investment from the US, China, the EU, and India. With China in particular. we have delivered the market friendly option. now we want jobs from the markets in return.

Who is this guy trying to fool by wearing a lab coat?
"...socialist policies to the benefit of the public..." That's an oxymoron, sir.
Absolutely. I would love someone to point out 1 just 1 successful socialist country. Surely out of all the 200+ countries in the world there must be one…
A socialist policy and a socialist government are different things. Socialist policies include universal healthcare, free education, unemployment benefits, land reforms, etc. Socialist policies have benefitted countries like Germany and Norway as well as countries like Cuba and China.
Realism is here. By looking at rise of PA, decline of EFF and reposition of ANC, voters are looking for how to tackle real day to day issues and less ideology. PA has real agenda of what they are going to do. By looking at how EFF and MK approaching other parties, it is not clear what they are going to do tomorrow. If you know a little about Singapore, there is a so called Realism style. It means Put ideology aside, find best solution for something matter next day. Singapore Chinese leader forced their 75% Chinese population to speak English. By the end of the day, we all see the result. There is a trend I can see in SA. I’m not a fan of PA. But the approaching of their leader after the election has been showing realism in their nature and really surprised me. But EFF is always about black liberation movement, but really lack of something they can do tomorrow. Before eff is the voice of the people, but after all these years, there is only loudness and unrealism. Disappointed to see the decline of EFF.
I hate privitization
DA, now u have 2 address racism in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town 😭
They will never they hate black people in there own country
There is more racism in the Cape flats than the Northern suburbs, but racism is often assigned to white skins only. There is actually only one race, many cultures, and a few lacking pigment, making them more susceptible to the African sun.
