    Recently bought a Loom & Leaf relaxed firm. Upside: Good for side sleepers like my wife and I. If you tend not to move around much and stay towards the center of the bed, I think you'll be OK with it. Downside: There is absolutely no support around the perimeter. It collapses nearly completely if you, like me, like to sit on the side of the bed to get dressed. I've almost slid off the bed because of it. Due to SAATVA's restrictive return policy, I'm returning it and getting a SAATVA HD with pillowtop that they say has a much more supporting edge.

      I have the luxury firm right now...they are coming to pick it up by the weekend. It is sagging so bad in the middle after 6 months, it's not even funny. I actually noticed the sagging after only 4 and half months, and I kept going back and forth trying to give it a chance. The sheets are bunching up so bad, they won't even stay on. I do weight 190 lbs, so maybe that's what the problem was, but still....after 4.5 months??? $1700....I really hope it works for you better than it did for me. I am very disappointed, mainly because I hate going to a store to roll around on a bed. Good luck!

    Just a great review, very informative, I like how you approach the mattress from all different sleep styles and body weights. One suggestion, something that you should definitely include in your FAQs, especially these days, is whether the mattress contains fiberglass. This has become a very problematic thing with a lot of mattresses these days, and it would really help the potential buyer to know if a particular mattress uses fiberglass as a flame retardant because of all the problems people are having with it.

    I didn't have any luck with Saativa. Granted I have arthritis in my back but who over 50 doesn't. The Saativa plush seems firm enough but I can barely get out of bed in the mornings from being so stiff. Now I have a tingling running down into my foot and lower leg. Once I sleep in our cheap RV bed I am fine. I chatted with Saativa and they gave me some kind of foam mattress pad that apparently would soften the bed even though I told her my bed quite possibly is too soft. I wrote the company asking what kind of materials are using the bed and I was told they use no latex or memory foam. Anyhow I've ordered a latex 3-in topper to try to remedy this bed that is not working at all for me.

      @@Mattressnerd1 Saatva was delivered and it’s being returned. The mattress has too much spring and bounce for anyone who moves around a lot. Also the edges stick out and up so if you sit on the end of this bed it stabs your legs. If this mattress was in a store I wouldn’t even try it. I feel i overpaid for the quality it has and it feels like a very old school mattress from the 80’s. Customer service has been kind and the return policy is a small fee for pick up. Ever since I got covid, I have been having difficultly breathing, and I can not use my old pure memory foam mattress because the foam expands into that space, and I don't have the lung capacity to push against the mattress anymore.

What the difference in feel between the two thicknesses 11.5 and 14.5 in.? Generally in solid memory foam mattresses the taller the mattress the softer it will feel right? So does the same apply here? 3. I "heard" the 180 day trial will allow a full money back return or exchange, for a $99 freight charge, is that it? Anything missing here?

      @Mattressnerd1  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey Keegan. Thanks for commenting and for the question. Based on the information you provided, this is honestly a pretty tough call. The Plush soft would be way too soft for your fiancé but be right where you need to be as a side sleeper. The luxury firm would be more suitable for him as a lighter stomach sleeper but may be slightly firm for you as a side sleeper. That being said the Luxury firm is probably closer to a "middle of the road" option. We've had a few testers at Mattress Nerd who are lighter side sleepers say that the Luxury firm doesn't feel too firm for them. However, it is still a tough choice.

    Either the luxury firm, or firm would be best for people with back / hip pain, and any mobility issues. I have pain, and some mobility issues. When I tried the RX plush soft mattress, I nearly fell out of bed because the sides have absolutely no support. You sink way down, and the mattress is uneven from one end to the other. You sink too far, and the sinking makes it nearly impossible to turn over during the night. It causes worse back pain. I can’t for the life of me figure out why people are recommending the soft for people with mobility and back problems.

      Hey Stephen. Sorry to hear about your experience with the luxury firm model. The Saatva Plush is very soft and could be a good option based on the body weights you listed if y'all are side sleepers, but you still won't get that sinking feeling if that is what you desire. If you are set on a softer hybrid bed that is not the Saatva, we'd suggest you take a look at one of the mattresses from Helix specifically the Sunset or Moonlight models. Helix also has a pretty robust sleep quiz which can narrow down your choices based on your body type, sleeping positions, etc. - helixsleep.com/pages/get-personalized. I hope this helps!

      @Mattressnerd1  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Amber. Thanks for reaching out. For stomach sleepers, we recommend a mattress that is on the firmer side. A mattress that is too soft for you could lead to some neck and lower back problems due to the spine sinking in too far and getting out of alignment. Out of the two options, we would probably recommend the luxury firm model in that it is firm enough to continue sleeping on your stomach, but it also can be adequate if you want to try and switch over to sleep on your back or side as a combination sleeper at your weight range. If you get the plush model, it may be too soft if you sleep on your stomach sleeper and that could lead to more pain problems in the future. I hope that helps!

I did read a ton of reviews on the Saatva Classic mattress and many people think it’s a bit firmer than the average “medium firm” mattress. The plush one is a bit softer but apparently still does offer quite a bit of support, per the reviews. You may want to contact Saatva and see if you can exchange the model you have for the plush one. Other than that, they may have a mattress cover they can provide you to give you some of that additional softness that you’re missing.

    The new Saatva has changed!!! The new version has only the small pocketed coils - the innersprings have been eliminated. So THIS review is for a previous product, which they no longer make!

      Saatva website shows inner coils and smaller coils , pics of inside of mattress are on the website showing both type of coils just like this video, so please explain what you're talking about ?

    TERRIBLE. The Saatva mattress - what a joke! 3 1/2 months in it developed deep sags and my back started killing me! And I weigh 108 pounds, people! Only good thing is I can return it - i only hope my back recovers.

    These reviews are all bullshit and sponsored. This is the hardest mattress I’ve ever laid on. Coils are digging into my back

    Sales pitch. What a saleswoman. At 5:43 to 5:55.. she goes to explain there s support system at the middle of mattress.. and a dual coil system at the edge of the bed. Misleading. The dual coil system is Underneath ALL AREAS OF THE BED! Not just at the edge. Doesn't know what she's talking about!

    Terrible.. she doesn't say which model she is showing.. like is it the firm, lux firm, or plush in the video with all these tests?
