I am also a 4.0 student and every tip here is the golden key to success in education. There is just a couple things to also remember. A big tip is to BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!!!! Never say “I can’t.” And take advantage of the college resources and breaks in between classes. I sometimes have 2-4 hours in between classes and ill go to the library or learning resource center to complete the bulk of my work. You can achieve anything if you really want to .
I absolutely love this advice and completely agree!!!
Does it count to be on the deans list if I only took 9 credits over the summer? You all motivate me and I can’t wait to push myself in the fall. Hopefully another group of A’s
Every college is different but mine sent a letter if you complete 9 credit hours during the summer with A’s

I’m a freshman college student and while I might not be a straight a student this semester, knowing that others are through the same struggle and have overcome it is very inspiring and helps me push on, thank you!
YOU GOT THIS!
note: study idea that may or may not work, when taking notes; remember to sprinkle in good questions (easy, moderate, and hard) and when revising your notes frequently, answer the questions as if you were talking to/ explaining the topic to another person (or do) and if you’ve got extra time and you wanna fuck around (which rarely anyone has or does) you can create a powerpoint or a small presentation, presenting all that you know about the lessons you learned/ the topic (presentation can be oral, or digital, it’s up to you)
*this note was for me but i wanted to share
I'm a senior in High school and I am TERRIFIED to leave my home state and family for Uni after this semester. These tips were so helpful and made me less terrified (still pretty nervous lol). Seriously though, great video and I am glad you enjoyed your Uni experience! also congrats on straight A's in Harvard!! Holy crap.
Thank you and I'm glad that you liked it! Just know that you're not alone with being nervous about leaving home but everything will work out! and you'll have alot of fun along the way haha!!
Your last point made me realize why I struggled in my last semester (my first semester) I had 6 days a week of classes... bit thankfully this semester I have only 3 days, thanks for the advice.
Im so glad you liked it and good luck on the new semester!!
These were amazing tips! My first semester at Vandy has taught me to take advantage of campus resources like tutoring, office hours, and study groups! I need to work on overcoming the fear of getting help and keeping my best interests in mind to prioritize health and academic success...I loved the video!!

Sleep is very important it helps you process the information you took yesterday. I agree with taking time for yourself 'cause at the end of the day you're a person. Thank you for the video, Michelle.
Absolutely!
I’m definitely not at Harvard, but I really want to be successful in my second trimester cuz my school is on the trimester system. I’m taking 5 courses and working Friday through Monday.

I work with the reward system. Good results gets reward. Bad results means keep going.
That’s a good way to look at it! But always give yourself grace and breaks if you aren’t doing the best that day!
Thank you
Great presentation!
Thank you!
Thank you. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’m going back to college(I start tomorrow actually) I’ll be a Junior after a year and half break. I’m super nervous and want to do good.. there’s so much work. 😅

@@ShaMichelle What sounds harder to your "ears"? 1. Masters Degree in Economics or 2. Masters Degree in Statistics?
@@MarleyOnThaBluff That's what I thought. #2 sounds harder to you. Thanks for your input. That was useful to me!
@@MarleyOnThaBluff Please! Just one more comparison. That's it!...What sounds harder to your "ears"? 1. Certified Public Accountant or 2. Masters Degree in Statistics?
@@MarleyOnThaBluff Thanks so much! I might take you up on that offer since I have a few more possible choices. Not right away, though!
Thanks!
Welcome!
I unfortunately got a d+ in my gen chem 2 class as a pre med even though I tried my hardest, and begged my teacher for help. Any advice? because my parents are mad at me and telling me that they don't want me to go back to school 😅. Thank for this video

How do you know all of the assignments for the whole semester?
They're usually on the syllabus for the class! College classes often know everything that'll be required for the entire year before the school year starts.
I looked at my syllabus for one of my classes and it doesn’t show. So should I email them or what should I do to get those assignments and there due dates??? And btw thank you for your first response!❤
Straight A’s are a lot easier when the mean is an A-
okay
I just commented so they can pay you !
You're a real one!
Wooww very good video Michelle
is it okay if 15 or 16 years old be in 8th grade😢😞i feel like it’s embarrassing or something
Feeling embarrassed is never necessary, only if you believe it is, but you can just choose to not think of it as embarrassing, you decide
@@saram7614 😊ok thank you for your replying and advice 💛
@@Chocolataworld000 theres a 14-15 year old in 7th grade, youre fine. Just work hard, study when you need too, even if you dont want too. Motivation just doesnt come out of nowhere, it’s in you. You create motivation, you have to do it when you dont even want too. Create goals, not dreams. Dont say “you cant” or “I wont get there or i wont be successful”, say “I will do it.” “I will get there and I wont stop until I will and I will reach my goals”.
these word’s mean a lot to me thank u so much u r right 😭no one said this to me before thank u for ur beautiful words advice i got this i can do it 💓🫡

Others and you say “study every night”… is that really true? Are y’all really studying literally every night? Each class every night reviewing or? What if you have a life? This advice has never made sense to me
Like it clashes with the advice on taking a break and I’ve heard ‘study every night’ multiple times before. What does that actually look like irl?
I would view “studying every night” through the lens that a little goes a long way! I wouldn’t look at every single thing every night but just spend no longer then an hour reviewing concepts I had difficulty understanding or memorizing. I do best with repetition so the continuous review worked well, but it’s all based on your learning style! I also would never allow my study get in the way of my social life or sleep because sleep is very important to me haha so setting certain boundaries and cutoff times will allow you the flexibility and breaks you want!
