    Great job brother. I made one very similar, but on the top of the armrests I installed 2x6's, and chamfered the edges. The reason for the 2x6 and not 2x4 was so I had room to sink a couple of stainless steel cup holders in the armrest. Love the channel man! Keep it up!

    Beautiful project and well explained. God willing, I will be making this probaly next spring. In the meantime, I set up the rest of the garden now to incorporate a small pergola with this swing bed in spring. Thank you.

    Nice vid. I like the speed of it. I wish there were more board length descriptions additional to the initial 2x4 frame. I am going to attempt this project very soon.

    What kind of maintenance does the outdoor mattress and pillows need

    I’m curious as to how much weight this could support when finished? I noticed you didn’t put in any cross members in the main frame for added support.

    Do you have a material list for this project, screws included?

    Thanks your plans were great. The only thing I added was a 2x4 down the center to attach as additional support for the cross members or seat. Do you have any estimate as to how much the swing alone weighs?

    The twin size mattress that I bought is 39 x75 not 38 x 75. Will that make a difference with cutting the wood for the frame measurement wise?

    So I want something like this inside, but it’s an apartment so I can’t need with the ceilings, do you have a recommendation for what stands to use?

    • @dagragg
      @dagragg  Před 3 lety

      You should be able to build a frame out of 4x4’s. I would try to find a design on Pinterest or google. Let me know what you come up with.

      I didn’t hang it. I left that up to the customer.

  • @tchesstc
    @tchesstc Před 3 lety

    Great video...?s For hanging the chair I would like to use chains...can I still use the hardware you used...or do you think rope is the better option...2. how much weight can it hold after mattress is in place. and lastly may I have the nail and glue information.

    • @dagragg
      @dagragg  Před 3 lety +1

      I leave the hanging up to the customer. Its more liability than I want to hang something at someone else's house. I specifically chose that hardware with chain in mind but the customer chose to go with rope, so I would say either option will be suitable. I use titebond glue and 18 ga brad nails.

    • @tchesstc
      @tchesstc Před 3 lety +1

      @@dagragg Thanks for the timely reply...I was mistaken in asking for the nail info..I meant the screws that were used to put the entire frame together.

    • @dagragg

      @@tchesstc I pretty much just use 2" deck screws.
