Really enjoyed this one, I'm from Birmingham ( I drive though the tunnels most days, always thought it must be tight for lorries so try to give them room!) but spend a lot of time driving in Wales too, so it was a hoot to see so many familiarly roads from your perspective. Keep up the good work.👍

Good ol’ North Wales Expressway. I kinda like that road, apart from the time I collected a pigeon in the radiator of my Mini. I’ve also travelled on the railway line you talk about early doors. Nice ride.
That's a blast from the past. 25 years ago I was a student at Bham Uni and spent the first year at High Hall, top end of the Vale. Christ it's changed a bit.
Ive just realised its 40 years since i graduated at BHam. I stayed in Lake Hall for part of the time - that has apparently been changed a lot to get rid of the communal bathrooms and made the rooms ensuite (posh!). I now live and work in LLandudno so the early part of the video was my current home ground
@@davidadderson2100 I think I graduated in 1994, so I would have been at High hall 1992 which i realise is 30 years for me. Looking at google street view and Luke's video it has changed a lot. I remember cycling past Lake and Wyddrington halls to get to Uni, (once spent a night in Wyd!). It looks a lot more built up now, used to be able to see the pond/lake more, and the resident angry geese who didn't like cyclists.

New subscriber here, great videos. As a professional driver myself for 31 years (buses first now class 1 HGV) it's good that someone shows the real world side of the job and some of the ridiculous drops/collections we get roped into! I've done builders merchants myself, the Jewsons, the MKM's, the Travis Perkins etc. The camera doesn't show how tight these places can be, they can very often turn into an absolute nightmare. I'm on local runs these days, served my apprenticeship and all that 🙂I'm not really that interested in going "Down the road" anymore. Keep up the good work and drive safe.

Nice to see my home patch in North Wales, I grew up 10 miles further down the coast, now I live near Brum and used to deliver Uber Eats to them student halls on my bike!
As you suggest not much industry or RDC's etc that far into North Wales, only stuff to come out of there is quarry products and livestock really. A lot of HGV drivers from that area do tramping for North West companies as what work there is locally pays very poorly.
First of all Luke, hope you had a very merry christmas, and tomorrow will be the first day of 2023🤣. Another thing you can do at Conway if you don't get tipped, is sit on the beach. The railway line that runs parallel to the road is the mainline from Manchester to Llandudno. There are two trains that serve this line. The express or the slow one, stopping at each and every station along the way. Just watching as you leave your first drop, on your way to your second. You are heading towards Llanwrst, where me and my hubby camped up. As you carry on towards and past Betsy-co-ed, you can drive right at the foot of Snowdon, and yes, totally agree, a gorgeous and amazing drive
We did Snowdonia in June '22 on motorbikes. It was an amazing experience on some of the best roads I've ever ridden on. The best bit though, that scenery....simply breathtaking! I've been to Wales many, many times in the lorry but couldn't drive some of the best routes, I was working after all. We stayed in a caravan in Rhyl, I'll definitely be going back the first chance I get.

Sounds like the engine stop was sticking on. Needs checking but sometimes you can fix it by reinserting one of the relays on the fuse board.
I'd be reluctant to park anywhere near a waste transfer site and I'd sooner park on the same side as the entrance because that's usually how the queues start. It's always best to turn around and face the way out but if you're not confident in reversing blindside I suppose you haven't got much choice.

Haven't been to that industrial estate in a while. That lbs merchant used to be Stephen Woods builders merchants, always used to stop off in that greggs on the way out lol 😆

You rub your eyes because your eye lashes are too long? Or dry eyes/corner of your eye’s irritated?
Combination of having long eyelashes and something called floppy eyelid syndrome which I’m having treatment for.
Long story shot, my eyelid is slightly “sagging” which in turn is making my long eyelashes enter my eye. Which I rub due to irritation, which both makes the lashes bend in even more and cause bruising around my eye.
I may end up needing surgery on my eyelid where they would basically cut a small sllt, and sow back up.
Like a boob job but for the eye 😂

If they wherevwide road then you wouldn't have cars pard on the pavements
Take them out by whatever means are necessary. Being nice and playing by the rules won't stop it. Also, the courts need to come down really hard on them and not just a slap on the wrists. Give them five years regardless if they didn't have a colour TV as a child

You don't have alot of night out gear ie bedding
It was freshly washed and behind the driver seat in a bag. Hence why later on in the video after the night out my bed was then made 🤙🏻

Everyone’s a sell out when you think about it. You sell your time to provide a service for someone else 🤙🏻
Typical driver. Too many hours sat in the seat and not exercising. I managed 12 months off the wagons and was shocked by the amount of weight I lost. Driving is bad for your health. Before you moan, yes there are skinny drivers but not as many as over weight ones
