'TUGS' is the story of the daily working life of a fleet of tugboats in an international harbour in the 1920's. The story is told through the adventures of Captain Star's fleet of seven tugs and the rivalry with the keenest competitors, Captain Zero's fleet of five tugs who display the darker side of the tugboat industry in an era that was both energetic and full of nostalgia. It was a transitional time when steam was in its heyday, quickly replacing sail and soon to be surpassed by diesel.

Hearing Shaun Prendergast at the end as Sunshine (my favourite tugs character) was amazing and so emotional. “Canna Miss this, man!” April!
I got so excited when I heard that - I hope he's being interviewed for this!
I don't know who narrated this, but they would make a perfect Captain Star! That photo of the Ghostly Galleon was awesome, too.
Then I heard Shaun Prendergast. And now I'm tearing up again as TUGS tends to make me do. Can't wait for the documentary! 😀
Not me being addicted to hearing Sunshine again at the end. Legit made me misty eyed when I first realized. This documentary looks like a blast, I can't wait for April to come!

That angle of the sunken galleon excites me as well. Are we gonna see some exclusive material not seen before? Will else finally see the naval destroyer and Neptune’s face close up? The Snatcher scene? Little Owl in focus? An explanation to the white yacht?

Tugs is one of those shows that has the single most devoted fanbase of them all. No toxicity, no nonsense about trying to demonise the fans or the direction of David Mitton. It's just a very warm and relaxing environment and I can say that with complete confidence that this show will be talked about long after I'm probably dead and so it should be!
