- 8D Problem Solving Tool - The Problem Solving methodology used to solve Customer Claims and issue
In this video I explained the 8D problem solving methodology used to solve the internal and external claims or issues.
this tool is used mainly in the automotive industry to solve any customer claim, but it could be used in any other field or industry to improve or solve any issue.
I explained during this video all the 8 steps of the 8D report and what contains every step and what are the requirements:
D1: Building the Team
D2: Problem Description
D3: Containment actions
D4: Root cause Analysis (Ishikawa, Brainstorming, 5Why)
D5: Corrective Actions
D6: Implementation and validation of the corrective actions
D7: Preventive Actions
D8: Lessons learned and follow up
This video will help you to know how to make the 8D report, when you will conduct the 8D report, what are the steps of the 8D problem solving tool, and what is the difference between many tools like Ishikawa and 5 Why?
I explained this tool in a different way that you can find in other websites or books, I explain it in more pratical way based on my experience in the automotive industry.

Good initiative, but try to start from D zero before D1
In this case it will be 9D not 8D.
In some books, they are starting to creat some new steps just to buy new books versions, like 5M, 6M, 7M... or 7Muda, 8Muda... etc
The most important is the principal, then you can add or split any step into two or 3 steps
