Just a quick video of the run, with completions on PC and Console with my thoughts & loadout before. The Shadowkeep Meta and Sandbox changes have made many solo video guides unusable as many of them rely on Whisper of the Worm, Skull of Dire Ahamkara, Orpheus Rigs, and Fallen Mods for the completion of the mission. (I mean no disrespect or throwing of shade to other content creators, it's just the truth of a change in the PVE landscape) So I wanted to show you that not only that it's possible, but it's possible on console. (Most guides are on PC, and don't take into account any of differences between the platforms. I show completions on both PC & Console, with the same load out)
These items are all suggestions, but of all of them, one Fallen Armament will go a LONG way into soloing this mission and helping to make it easier.

It's not the weapon vault, it's the Cryptarch vault.
Wait why is outbreak out of our vault
Jack Keogh it’s a perfected version so I guess the Fallen either stole it from somewhere or it’s a different version what would actually explain how it has modified perks
Michael NSC The cryptarch computer system was the thing that allowed you to manifest your weapons from the Vault, which has been destroyed by whoever made a mess of things.
That’s why you can’t get your stuff out of the vault anymore. Just want to make sure that everyone understands the lore

Well, not really. I used that and lost every time. Maybe its how i use it, but i know that riskrunner with catalyst is best for whisper and outbreak.

Getting jotunn is easy but it takes 5 weeks I literally bought the forsaken because of that weapon
Cheers for the guide, clear and to the point! Didn't expect it to be so smooth solo, especially the Trevor part! Got it done with like 5 minutes on the clock after the 3-4 runs to get the pathing to the end down (mostly timing the jump jet skip outside so I dont die lol)

I think , if one has the time, it is worth to do a full attempt run despite making it to signified time, like cleaning first encounter by 17 mins, at least first couple runs
Even if you don't make it, you still learn the mission, still practice going forward
u could use LMG ammo finder mod on helmet u can get it from Banshee lvling ranks it helps big time too
Everyone that doesn't have Jötunn yet, a good substitution is the Arbalest if you have that. I used it for my run and it helped a great deal

I've done Heroic and Normal about 7-8 times solo. My fastest Heroic run was with my Hunter. 3:30 left on the clock.
Top Tree Nightstalker w/ Orpheus Rigs, Gambler's Dodge
Izanagi's Burden w/ Catalyst, Recluse/Solar Scout Rifle, and 21% Delirium.
Im watching this over and over tonight, tomorrow im gonna go solo... jotun is on the way..only 2 forges left. But ill try another liadout first (sniper,/arbalest,recluse, delirium)

@@Skooby59 I would run two titans or a titan with a hunter night stalker friend. Warlocks? I'm still looking for a consistent easy build. There's no easy way for them to do a ton of damage to the servitors and the tanks,. as well as the boss.
Any chance you can do a warlock run? If not can you break down the set up and start you'd use? Awesome video btw. 👍 and subbed
what i actually do in here is:
use Top dawnblade on the first part and have a grenade (dicipline) / rift (recover) build and use the double grenade chestpiece. (i just spam my grenades then jump then use the ranged melee very fast and it will regen everything very fast)
i use a:
pulse rifle/sniper/hand cannon on kinetic
riskrunner/ jotunn energy
machinegun/ sword on power
i sword+icarus scate sometimes
i use icarus at vents (when you spam jump and icarus in a vent)
on the fans the red thing its always on the right
on the black room with those small ledges i mostly use my ult and skip the whole room cause i will soon change to my void bottom before trevor then when you get stuck on a electric door at trevor change my armor, maybe skull but i dont have it then do the thing in this vid, also throw the ult at the eye xD
btw maybe you already have done this but i wanted to share what i did xD
Some how i start the mission with only a third of my heavy ammo even though i stocked on it and it makes it very difficult to deal with first adds.
hey, I am a new light player and just hit the wall that is zero hour, now I am preparing for the mission. Since the Jotunn now seems to be gated behind a 5 week grind, with 2 forge missions per week, is there an easier way to acquire it? also are the special jump boots a must? great guide, thanks for helping out
Hey! Thanks for your message..... as for Jotunn? The only other choice is a Triple Tap Sniper, but honestly, Jotunn is the best choice.
As far as I know, the update with Jotunn kinda stinks, since its time gated. The boots are a must for the jump that I make. On a Hunter or A Warlock, you don't need anything special.

I got super lucky with my first Blast Furnace and got Feeding Frenzy and Rampage
ok so I've been told my key binds are a little weird so I would appreciate if someone would rate them
so all I've done is swap my jump key and my shoot key, and changed my movement keys to e,r,d,and f. e is forward, r is backwards, d is left and f is right
please someone tell me if these are weird, I thought this was how everyone played.
edit: also on controller I have LT as reload, RT as jump, a as shoot, and x as aim

How did you start with so much ammo?? I rallied a flag but when I started I had the bare minimum
Edit: it’s all good, I’m must of actually missed the flag😂😂😂 switched to risk runner, found I died a lot less and got a lot further, still learning the route so I’m going to try jotun again now I’ve got the ammo sorted, still dying way too much. This is one of the best guides I’ve come across so thank you for that.
1st - I use the Tribute Hall, not the flags to pick up ammo. You can also use the Moon's Rally flag by the Lantern of Enchantment for 5 basic phantasmal currency.
Also make sure you are not using any reserves on your armor. There seems to be something that deletes ammo if you are using that. If needs be, I change to it while in mid-flight to the mission. Hope that helps

Please try to do a Heroic version since Shadowkeep has dropped. It is a bit of a struggle for me to finish within the timeframe.
Man I really need to get the catalyst for Outbreak
Its way easier with hammerhead and riskrunner. Your setup is way slower and requires special ammo. For newer players or those who didnt run 0h that many times, your setup wont be that useful. Also bow with archers tempo+rampage is pretty good for countering those sniper mobs :D
Also mid void titan is still very good for that mission
Tomas Dexter I found Riskrunner to not really be effective unless running in a group. Hammer head is definitely an option for those who don’t have delirium, but Delirium would 100% be a better choice. Remember that Wish-ended and other bow damage is glitched right now.
However, if that works for you, great! I’ve found many people to find this video immensely helpful, even though the Seasons have changed. Later later.

The boss mechanics are exactly the same on Heroic. The only difference is the different route you have to take to the boss, plus the flame trap in the vault. thanks for watching!

Jeez some of the Raids are easier. I was lost not even a minute into it. Good news is that for once I have all the weapons that someone is using in a Video. Bad News is that I Main a Hunter and my Titan has Zero Exotics. So I’m screwed!!!
I am honestly not even going to try this to keep the little dignity I have left. This looks crazy difficult to me.
John Oonincx Solo? Yes it is difficult. But two people can get through it without much difficulty. The hardest part is of course the jumping puzzles but after you run it a couple times you find it gets easier.
Screw Jotun. Bring Riskrunner to that final fight and enjoy Terminator mode.

What about a solo guide for the catalyst and progress?
I doubt I’ll ever get that or whisper. I’m pretty good at the jumping in the whisper area, but I SUCK at killing things fast, I die too often. Delirium is something I won’t get because I HATE pvp. I do have Jötun though. And a few other machineguns (avalanche, Hammerhead, memorial). Don’t have that pulse either though, lol. I don’t think I would be able to get past Trevor though, I don’t think I could remember the route, haha. That and I’d die like 50 times in the combat sections.
Didn’t even make it do the boss room in the whisper quest. (Got to the dropdown, but still had to clear psions and of course the bosses but ran out of time there) 🤷🏻♂️ I’ve basically resigned myself to never getting anything that requires raiding, pvp, or these super hard quests.
Quick tip, theres a route for whisper that allows you to skip a lot of the jumping part.
Gentry Vesper I’m aware, thanks. I’ve watched Kackis’ guide to it. I’m just really really bad at the fighting. The jumping part I’m good at. I beat that part on my hunter the first try with no deaths. I know the shortcut too. I just die like a million times doing the fighting and run out out of time
The wizards get me the most, occasionally the captains, and less often, the knights. Most of the rest doesn’t give me trouble but those 3 take me wayyyyyy too long. 🤷🏻♂️
Doesn’t help that my game decides to do the “verify files” error pretty often, usually when I’m in the middle of something important...

I cannot, there is no easy way, since they changed how it worked with Shadowkeep ----- You have to forge 10 Legendary Frames. There is no shortcut around that unfortunately. There used to be good ways to get the gun, but you cannot now. Sorry!

Christopher Anderson I mean, I also would go with arc resist if there was any ability to do that. I guess I still don’t really understand your question? Are you saying if you’re running a void sub class that you should be writing void armor? Is that your question? If it is, then no it’s not really that important. I would honestly just have something with arc resist. After that it’s speck in your armor is best as you can for what weapons you are running

I’m missing why the grenade recharges so quickly after hitting a big target.
If you look at the Controlled Demolition and Supply perks on the Code of the Commander:
Controlled Demolition--Void ability usage plants small void detonators onto enemy targets, which explode when shot at. Any subsequent void damage from these detonators will plant more detonators on enemies, chaining void explosions.
Resupply--When void detonators explode near you or nearby allies, it recharges grenade energy and heals.
So that;s why. And also why this is the best guide :) Thanks for watching!!!!

update: for the average player, on console, this is not possible, maybe for 0.00000001% of the Destiny God players out there, but solo this and whisper are the most impossible weapons to get. Also Im a Warlock for life....awesome run tho!
You should leave the updates to the content creator. ;) It's very doable. I've seen runs on Hunter and Titan. (No warlock recently though, sorry dude)
I would say that this is designed for 2 things: To show people who are trying to do it as a group, or to show upper echelon players what works well.
An above average player could do this with some practice. Below average: Watch the path, and get a fireteam..... or check out the stream when I go live!!!

If you're running a Void Titan, why in the world are you not using Oppressive Darkness?
This video was made BEFORE I had unlocked Oppressive Darkness on my Artifact. I'm pretty sure I said use Disruptor and any type of Void damage boost. Oppressive would go along with that. Thanks!
Pre shadowkeep or better yet when skull of ahamkara was still good a nova bomb would've killed that servitor quick

Getting Jotunn is not hard at all. I started playing with 36 days left in the season of undying and had the weapon within a month after i started. Just follow the steps and you'll get it no problem.

You can run this mission with riskrunner.. I have 50runs with riskrunner
I have come to the conclusion I will never have whisper of the worm or perfected outbreak.. I have every exotic greaves on my hunter except for stomp-ee5 and I don't have lion ramp on my titan i also don't have doomfang to help my super last longer.. lol... other than that even without ramparts and using strafe jump i will attempt this on my titan, i just need to go get the nodes for my transponder.. my hunter has them but i don't think with triple jump and not having stomp-ee5 i still can't make the jumps

Maybe...I'm a filthy warlock main and I usually run devour in pve. I probably just don't notice it because I rotate devour through melee and grenades with a demolitionist Austringer.

Sepulchre13 Whisper is much, MUCH easier. It’s just the number of ads, plus the jumping puzzle length that makes Zero Hour a challenge.
