    These Southwest pilots are wild west cowboys with those taxi speeds. Every Southwest plane I've been on is in a hurry. 🤣

    • @michael91411
      @michael91411 Před 2 lety +3

      What a ridiculous comment. EVERY plane has to be in a "hurry" for take off, cursing and landing. You can't slow on an airplane. They can't fly at 65 mph'

    • @sgtdaye
      @sgtdaye Před 2 lety +12

      @@michael91411 what are you even talking about? I know that an aircraft must maintain a minimum speed in order to fly. My comment specifically references taxi speeds. They are known for being a "a bit quick" on taxiways. I am really not certain what you're on about. Makes no sense really.

    • @UAL012
      @UAL012 Před 2 lety +4

      30 knot taxi speed according to several SWA captains I've spoken to. Honestly, that's usually a VERY common taxi speed for airliners. If you go to any airport and just watch the planes as they taxi on the ramp, taxiways, or where ever and they're moving right along. As a Cessna pilot myself, we taxi at around half that speed or slower.

    The audio is incredible, using a pair of 15" mains , with a pair of 10" powered subwoofers. Amp set on 7 channel surround. The combination of sound and ultra HD makes this video outstanding. @@sandeshts9190 Take your pick! The Grand Canyon area starts almost immediately passing Lake Mead on take off from LAS, so from about 32 minutes on. At @41.14 you can actually make out a straight lighter coloured line under the port winglet, which is Grand Canyon National Park Airport, just south of Tusayan. And just right on screen (north, and north east in reality) is the Grand Canyon Village and Grandview Point (plus other viewing areas on the South Rim). Fire Road 776 is the straight line coming out of the engine casing and end ending in the bottom right corner of the scree. Hope this helps. Google Map it.

    So I'm watching the video and digging it, as usual, when I realize I'm feeling slightly queasy. Turns out it's because the video is looking backward. I remember when Southwest had backward-facing seats (maybe they still do but I don't think so). Loved riding in them. Now I can't even watch that viewpoint on a computer screen without getting vertigo. Man, I'm getting old. Lol.

    The rain flowing from right to left on the window right above the engine cowling is a neat visual effect; it look like something along the line of sparks coming from the engine, but if that part was real, people would be losing their minds by then.

    Leaving Las Vegas and great views of downtown and McCarren on your 180 deg turn out to the east. Then arriving in stormy Tulsa and don't those thunderheads just make all human life seems very small and insignificant? And then I guess you still had a two hour drive home in the pouring rain? Well done B and regards from the UK :-)

      Yeah, it was an interesting drive home, that's for sure. It was beautiful cup in the sky though, that's for sure! Looking at this out the window was definitely one of those moments that made me ponder things a little deeper. Thanks for watching my friend!

    such a great flight. but the way this is fantastic that you can hear the engine roar while cruise i barely see such videos with a little buzz sound in sky high and the approach with those elegant clouds was wonderful and a nice complement for this great flight .All the bests !

    Did the crew forget to tell that you were, (actually), landing in a thunderstorm? I had a flight like that once on a Montreal-Toronto flight. I love rough flights. it adds atmosphere. When day turns into night. There was also a gremlin sitting on the wingtip.

      Had a similar flight from Calgary returning home to Toronto. Worst flight ever - moderate to severe turbulence throughout most of the flight. It was September 1992 - freezing in Calgary and hot and humid in Toronto! We flew over a series of Thunderstorms and that plane shook, rattled and rolled unil we started descending. Forgot to bring an extra pair of shorts, but I survived. We were told under no circumstances to get up from our seat. The flight attendant told me when I tried to head to the bathroom - and I quote" Better buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride until we land". Nice! Not! LOL!
