​@@bennettaromin4564it is one of the reasons they lost, the humans warned them and occupied forerunner Worlds to fight the flood but the forerunner pride was too big so they fought a crusade to "punish" humanity ignoring the real threat, the Flood. When they discovered the real reason why the humans "attacked them" (it was fighting the flood nothing against them) it was too late.

Instead of continuing whatever random story they have for next game they could legitimately send chief back to a retconned halo universe with the time travel plot from end of infinite. Alternate timeline where an unschismed covenant and a united humanity are forced to fight the flood. Full galactic war setting and a return of favourites from the rookie to noble team etc etc
