I'm working I tiny pony right now, and he has abysmal balance. The round pen is too big for him, so it doesn't help his balance, and really the only thing that really helps is circles in the long reins around a large arena. (Don't worry, the large arena is where he works best.) The thing is, I can't run behind him indefinitely. At this point, he can only get the correct canter lead in the long reins (that's how small he is). Do you have any advice for balance gain for this pony? Also, we think he was abused with the bridle, so we can't use that for more subtle work, just halter.
