This young lady pulls out the soulful depths of every song she sings. She adds her own to each song as though it is hers. The song then becomes much richer than the original artist was trying to convey. She started competing when she was 8yrs old and was absolutely unreal even at that age. Angelina has a God-given talent, she sings from the heart, that is the only way she can sing these songs with so much depth and soul as though she had lived the experience.

I agree Sandy. A live band and a full house in an arena setting, and I think she would kill this song. Not that she doesn't do that here; she does. And that mic she's using is fantastic. But feeding off the crowd she would bring the house down. I've listened to all of Angelina's songs multiple times, and I truly love them all; some more than others. And while she always brings tremendous emotion/feelings to every song she sings, I believe this is her best technical performance. Perfect pitch, beautiful tone, great phasing, extended range, tremendous power, and incredible breathe control. If you watch it again, see if you can see her take a breathe anywhere in the two 'the show must go on' lines. I believe she does them both (together) with one breathe. I would have said that is not possible, but that's what she seems to be doing. I've watched it multiple times (because I love it so much), and I can't detect a breathe there. Thank you for your reaction, Sandy. Should have placed something on the first occasion I watched - this is about the fifth! - it but my second name is Procrastination. So I never got around to it. Until this recording, "I put a spell on you" was my favourite recording of Angelina's but after listening to this my mind was in a turmoil as I could not make up my mind which to choose as favourite. After much anguish common sense took over and I decided that ALL of Angelina's recordings are my favourite. Problem solved! I had heard of Freddie Mercury and Queen as my children were fans but had never listened to any of their recordings as they just didn't appeal to me. However, listening to Angelina singing "The Show Must Go On" and being awestruck by her singing (as always), I was driven to searching for and finding the recording by Freddie Mercury and Queen. After listening to it I did wonder how effective they would have been without the video sequences and flashing lights. I won't be searching for other recordings of theirs but will look to see whether Angelina covers any more of their songs.

The problem I have with Angelina is, once I hear her do a cover, I can't listen to somebody else sing it. Personally, for me, No one can stand up and come close to her. In most instances for me , she even out performs the original artist. It's like once she sings it, it's like it was written for her to sing. That's just my own personal take.

Angelina Jordan could never use autotune, it would kill the emotion. If autotune is used there’s a lack of emotion by nature, autotune flattens out the pitch and harshens the transitions between pitches. When singers opt for heavy autotune on their vocal track, it tends to kill a lot of the emotion that may have been prevalent in the performance. Conversely, when a singer’s voice is ripping with emotion, it’s a good indication that the track hasn’t been autotuned. Angelina Jordan evokes emotion like no other performer in my past, or possible in my future. Dimash is the autotune king.

I love Freddy so much. And no matter how good a singer the artist is, when singing a song by him, I will allways have Freddy singing it in my mind. I think a lot of us have that. And that may be a reason why is is so hard for others to sing this song, and do it justice. I think Angelina did a good jobb, she made her own version of it, a softer and yes, I agree, a more James Bondish version. She shows here that she can sing in a higher register and sound good, and not only the lower parts. She needs more training, of course, she is still a child, and compared to other great singers, she hasn't practised that long, and she is not a singer, full time. But still, she is better that so so many well trained singers. Imagine when she really wants to start take this seriously. In my opinion, I feel we need her, since I feel so so many artist just sounds the same. She simply has one of the greatest voices I've ever heard, and she is still so young....

How “serious” should a 13 years old be? well, considering we are not talking about the masses but about a genius. I don’t know the answer but I bet she is the happiest between child singers. Most are PERFECT, only sometimes a bit is missing, like the second “thshow must go on”. Angelina has an Amazing and Beautiful voice!!... But!... There's something I don't like it. Her performance. And it's not because she's a young girl, it's because of a style that some singers are using. Some singers sing as if they were sleepy, I don't know, and it gives me the feeling that they don't care what they are singing. You know, singing with almost closed eyes all the time, no moves, no gestures, no vocalization, drag the words all the time, and things like that. Anyway, apart from that, she has a beautiful voice indeed.

You opinion is based on what strikes you and that his totally fine. I prefer Angelina’s voice too but, that doesn’t make her a better technical singer. Dimash can sing all the songs Angelina can sing but, I can’t say the opposite is try. My preference of Angelina is totally subjective because I like jazz. That doesn’t make her a better singer. It’s just my preference. Geez!
@@SugarRay2 May be you are right that I lay words unpretended from your side in your mouth,but it's so often in comment to reactions to Angelina's singing that people come up with Dimasj name,and therefore I become a little irritated,and as I said I can't agree with the hyperbole that is Dimasj,a great singer technically, but IMHO he lacking a lot to be the greatest singer that is and has been.I have read in comments in reaction to his singing that he sings with so much emotions,but that have to be a kind of fake emotions,becauce even Dimasj himself has admitted that the only way he can emote is by using high notes,and therefore he is using high notes all the time,to fake that he can't emote in the same way that Angelina emote,Angelina is naturally born with this ability,and Dimasj not,and I think this can't be learned,you have to be born with it,and that is one of the reasons that I and thousand upon thousand of other angels prefer listening to Angelina .She has a much warmer voice,and she don't have to constantly schream to emote like Dimash has to,and therefore you can listening to Angelina all the time,and you still want more,where as listening to Dimash you have stop listening after a white to let your ears have some rest from his constantly using high notes,may be you are listening to Angelina becauce you prefer yazz,but for thousand of others they prefer Angelina becauce of her warmer and more emotive voice,a voice you can listening to without ever get tired of.

Until this recording, "I put a spell on you" was my favourite recording of Angelina's but after listening to this my mind was in a turmoil as I could not make up my mind which to choose as favourite. After much anguish common sense took over and I decided that ALL of Angelina's recordings are my favourite. Problem solved!
I had heard of Freddie Mercury and Queen as my children were fans but had never listened to any of their recordings as they just didn't appeal to me. However, listening to Angelina singing "The Show Must Go On" and being awestruck by her singing (as always), I was driven to searching for and finding the recording by Freddie Mercury and Queen. After listening to it I did wonder how effective they would have been without the video sequences and flashing lights. I won't be searching for other recordings of theirs but will look to see whether Angelina covers any more of their songs.

The problem I have with Angelina is, once I hear her do a cover, I can't listen to somebody else sing it. Personally, for me, No one can stand up and come close to her. In most instances for me , she even out performs the original artist. It's like once she sings it, it's like it was written for her to sing. That's just my own personal take.

Angelina Jordan could never use autotune, it would kill the emotion. If autotune is used there’s a lack of emotion by nature, autotune flattens out the pitch and harshens the transitions between pitches. When singers opt for heavy autotune on their vocal track, it tends to kill a lot of the emotion that may have been prevalent in the performance. Conversely, when a singer’s voice is ripping with emotion, it’s a good indication that the track hasn’t been autotuned. Angelina Jordan evokes emotion like no other performer in my past, or possible in my future. Dimash is the autotune king.

I love Freddy so much. And no matter how good a singer the artist is, when singing a song by him, I will allways have Freddy singing it in my mind. I think a lot of us have that. And that may be a reason why is is so hard for others to sing this song, and do it justice.
I think Angelina did a good jobb, she made her own version of it, a softer and yes, I agree, a more James Bondish version.
She shows here that she can sing in a higher register and sound good, and not only the lower parts.
She needs more training, of course, she is still a child, and compared to other great singers, she hasn't practised that long, and she is not a singer, full time.
But still, she is better that so so many well trained singers.
Imagine when she really wants to start take this seriously.
In my opinion, I feel we need her, since I feel so so many artist just sounds the same.
She simply has one of the greatest voices I've ever heard, and she is still so young....
Lene Lene I agree with everything you say..... except that I preferred other bands on my youth. And, to be honest, your use of the word “seriously”. How “serious” should a 13 years old be? well, considering we are not talking about the masses but about a genius. I don’t know the answer but I bet she is the happiest between child singers. I would say that’s more serious and long term sustainable than trying to be perfect in all her 82 covers and three originals. Wait! Most are PERFECT, only sometimes a bit is missing, like the second “thshow must go on”. But my attention goes instead to the ones that follow: she always have a slightly different one, it’s never a copy paste from the first, in ANY song - so I don’t mind about “thshow”s cos, with Angelina Jordan, it’s guaranteed, it always goes on anyway! It was written by Viktor Tsoi, lead singer of Russia's first R&R band, Kino. Yasya first performed it in 2016 at the age of 7. There's something I don't like it. Her performance. And it's not because she's a young girl, it's because of a style that some singers are using. Some singers sing as if they were sleepy, I don't know, and it gives me the feeling that they don't care what they are singing. You know, singing with almost closed eyes all the time, no moves, no gestures, no vocalization, drag the words all the time, and things like that. Anyway, apart from that, she has a beautiful voice indeed.
